I've been here a month ago, how have I not written a review for it yet?
I found this place just wandering around in Manhattan, it's easy to spot, it's on a corner with lights and neon signs. This place feels like "fast food style" place but the food here is much better quality. The chicken here is
The Counter staff here are very efficient and nice while it is very busy. I Got the Cuewich , Fried chicken with a fried onion and Barbecue sauce it was delicious. I can honestly say the lightly breaded chicken is pretty good quality for the price. The banana pudding pie itself wasn’t that great mo
We're from Texas screw you!
The chicken and waffles is the way to go. You need to give them about 15 minutes to get it ready. Get a beer to wash it down. Take it down to the Grandma's basement and enjoy. You can play a board game, shoot some hoops or play foosball.
We got the "Sunday Special" which was two breasts and Fry's for $10 bucks. The chicken was moist and tender and the fries were fresh. I will say coming from Texas I'm used to a little more seasoning on both but it was still very good. The biscuit while a little too dense for my liking was actually v
Must go if you're into fried chicken dinners.. first of all this place has an amazing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming; if you're not sure what to get they will know!
The chicken is fried to perfection, and their coleslaw is a must have side dish..
Unfortunately, their biscuit wa
Decent fried chicken joint just steps from the shake shack that kicked off the revolution making unhealthy, fried comfort food societally acceptable for those that would never be caught dead in a KFC or McD. Ground floor dining area is nice but the downstairs game room has seen better days. The fuss
Delicious chicken, great fries, wonderful service a little pricey. Chicken and waffle plate $11. Apple Pie milkshake $6 Make your way to the basement for additional seating and a table soccer (foosball table) every interaction with the staff was pleasant. Much of the seating on the first floor and f
Wish I knew the servers name because he sure remembered mine! He pronounced it correctly (dosen't always happen)
This place was clean, and had amazing service. They also cooked my chicken exactly as I wanted them. The menu was affordable. I got 2 thighs, a side of mash potatoes and 2 biscuits for $1
One of the best BBQ joints around. Go for moist brisket it's soooo delicious!
They just raised the prices about 20% on some of their meats, like brisket for example.
Still one of my favorite BBQ joints in the city.
So while visiting New York this place caught my eye because of its name. Hill Country Chicken I had to stop here for two reasons first I live in a region in Texas called the Hill Country. Also I am a poultry science major from Texas A&M so any place that is unique and serves chicken I have to stop.
I got the chicken waffle and oh my gosh it was amazing. The chicken was moist, not dry like other places and the waffle was cooked to perfection.
