This was easily the most iconic Turkish dining experience I've had in the city. The flavors are nostalgic, but the dishes are truly inventive. The attention to detail in the menu, the execution of the dishes, and even the decor is unparalleled. I highly recommend the lentil köfte appetizer, it was so good it brought tears to my eyes. And the profiteroles are not to be overlooked on the dessert menu! Bring someone here to make an evening memorable. Maybe an old friend or a new love, because the staff's effusive hospitality and warmth will make you feel strongly connected to whoever you're with.

Finally, great Turkish Cuisine in New York! Do not miss this place, I promise you will definitely like it. Way better than the famous Mediterranean ilili on 5th Ave. I went there for lunch with my family on Christmas Eve. Because NYC doesn't have a proper Turkish restaurant, I was with some reasonable suspicion, however this place was just perfect! We tried so many different dishes, but I would like to point out some must-tries: 1. Grilled Iriskit & Hellim Cheese 2. Lamb Tenderloin Kebab 3. Nar Kebab 4. Zucchini Blossoms Excellent location right off Park Ave and 20th St, and very very vegetarian friendly

The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional, but I must admit that the prices left me a bit taken aback. Our bill came to $600 for a party of four, which is quite high. The intimate setting was cozy but slightly too snug for comfort. My only critique is that despite our significant expenditure, we didn't receive any complimentary items or even a little dessert on the house, which would have been a nice touch. Also, finding parking was a bit of a hassle.

Expensive with small portions, but extremely flavorful and well executed dishes with traditional middle eastern flavors with some good spins. The cheese sausage app (4.5/5) was tasty and the sampler (5/5) whole super small, was very tasty with the pistachio dip being the best. The kabob (5/5) was delicious but the real star of the show was the lamb and eggplant dish (5/5) - it was flavorful, moist, and incredibly delicious.

Enjoyed the food, especially desserts were delicious. Wine was half of what you get everywhere else, and it’s $20 per glass. See the picture, this is before even taking a sip! Tables are too small, it was really hard to fit appetizers.

Marked this restaurant several months ago from an article in Resy. I like the decorations, ambience and dynamic music. This is my first time dining in an authentic Turkish restaurant. It is really something new to know the restaurant name Nar means pomegranate in Turkish. I ordered Shakshuka, Grilled Iriskit & Hellim Cheese, Nar Kebab and Cennet Camuru as dessert. It looks like pistachio is everywhere, and I like it! The foods are all savory with blends of different flavors.

I recently visited Nar on a Sunday evening, and as a local guide, here's my take on the experience: Nar boasts a fresh and cozy interior with impeccable lighting. We were fortunate to secure a lovely table. For starters, we decided to try the cacik because it promised a unique twist. Unfortunately, some things are best left unchanged. While the presentation was appealing, the flavor of the cacik left much to be desired. To breathe new life into a classic, it should offer a refreshing taste. Perhaps a higher quality of cucumber and a touch more salt or mint could elevate it. I'd rate this effort a 2/10. Moving on to the main dishes, we savored two delightful kebabs, bursting with flavor. However, the portion size was on the smaller side. As a European, I'm accustomed to larger portions than the typical American servings, but these even fell short of European standards. Dessert, on the other hand, was a sweet success. The combination of kadayif and ice cream is a timeless winner. Now, let's talk about Turkish tea. As a Turkish person, I know that tea is often complimentary or priced at a maximum of around 3 dollars, given that it's essentially water and some tea leaves. Charging 6 dollars for a 15cl tea is quite steep and doesn't align with the spirit of Turkish hospitality. Overall, I'd rate this establishment at 4 stars. With time, they have the potential to further enhance their working.

If you're seeking an exceptional experience with remarkable hospitality and authentic Turkish cuisine, Nar is a must-visit. Burcu, Erhan, and their exceptional team at Nar will provide you with the utmost care and attention. Their mezes and seafood transport you to the breezy sunsets of İzmir, while their meticulously prepared meat dishes transform into delectable kebabs, offering a taste of Anatolia. The delightful sweets will leave you yearning to explore Türkiye further. Nar's service, hospitality, and the warmth of its staff are the icing on the cake. Don't wait, indulge in the wonderful hospitality for which the people of Türkiye are renowned.

Cute place and friendly staff. It was very lively and packed. Food prices a bit on a higher side. Main courses priced in mid $30s don’t come with any side. A side of rice is $12. Glass of Prosecco is $20. It’s $15-16 avg in nyc. We tried a good number of the appetizers. Food is good. Maybe price wise, pick the more unique dishes and stay away from the basics.
