This is probably one of my favorites. Very small and intimate ( perhaps less than 50 seater) but a star! Clean and inventive cooking, efficient and careful service, smart casual enough without being pretentious. A real find in dark alley of East village!

Obscene dining experience! From craft cocktails to decedent dining you will experience flavor combinations like none other. Amazingly gracious staff and comfortable atmosphere. One of NYC's treasures.
The Eddy is a gastronomically creative absolutely worthwhile experience. With initially having feasted upon the beef puffs laced with trout roe and the bacon infused tater tots evoking memories of childhood, we opted to order another dose of each. This of course being easily washed down with the smoky mescal frothy egg white "Parlor Friar" mixologist creation accelerated my palate receptors. Moving on to the delightfully delicious creamed gnocchi and finishing with flavorful lamb loin and lamb neck neck was almost enough to skip over desert..... But not so fast. A round of the evenings specialty sweets that included combinations of cardamom, malted milk and sea salt brought it all home. I left wishing this was one of my neighborhood joints, however I would again consider traveling 1100 miles from Miami to NYC to participate in a rerun.
My suggestion:
Go. Eat. Savor the flavors.
What a gem - a cozy East Village dining destination for sure. Menu changes frequently but do not miss the pate if it's on there. Comfortable bar with incredible cocktails separate from the dining room makes a good date spot.
