One of the better sit down Chinese restaurants in NYC. I had their veggie entre with bokchoy, mushrooms and tofu. It was tasty. The staff was attentive and the food was decent. It’s average price for a better sit down chinese restaurant. It was clean and the food was good. Entres are big enough to share. I’d recommend it to people who like Chinese food for the ambience, food, and service. I’m sure there’s better, but since I don’t really go to sit down Chinese restaurants, this is decent enough for me.
Delicious dumplings which I could eat everyday! We ordered the lemongrass chicken with brown rice which was lemoney and not too heavy. The fishball and wonton soup was very fresh and flavoursome. Friendly, attentive service and really well priced. Would definitely return, even just for the dumplings!
We're from Las Vegas, but I thought this was a nice, upscale Chinese restaurant. It's definitely better than most takeout. The interior is very nice, with mezzanine level tables, looking down on the main dining room. The selection was good: I had Spicy Stewed beef with Noodles soup. Wife had broccoli beef and guest had Spicy Basil Chicken. Everyone was happy with their food; it came quickly and hot out of the wok. They had lunch specials which came with choice of fried, or white, rice and a token salad. The rice was good; the food was not oily and the ingredients extra fresh.
The service was good, but if you're looking for personable, look elsewhere. The wait staff is very serious, not your welcoming, smiling host. They do what they have to do.
Overall, when I'm back, wed probably ly go again.
Beat Cantonese roast duck soup, generous portions, attentive service!
Ordered an egg roll and General Tso prawn. All of the food came piping hot. Egg roll was crispy without being greasy. Prawns were hand battered in a light coating that was not overly balready or doughy, very crunchy. I was happy to see come cabbage, mushrooms and other veggies. Sauce could have been spicier, but then again I usually ask for extra spice and I forgot. Prices were very reasonable for Manhattan, and $5 martinis for happy hour? In NY city, you can't beat it. A good meal, good price,OK
service.
From San Francisco and hard to impress this was incredible tasting food with beautiful presentation. The price is very good for what you get. True to all great tasting Chinese restaurants the service was a little abrasive but expected. Overall 9/10!
A wonderful surprise. Chef Yu's was a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere was open, modern, and pleasant. Service was swift and appropriate for the venue.
While I can't scream from the rooftops that this was the "absolute best" Chinese food I've ever had, it was indeed high quality and a notch above a standard take-out joint. The food was not overly greasy or heavy, yet the portions were ample and served beautifully.
The best surprise, however, was in the bill. The lunch specials at Chef Yu were very reasonably priced - nearly on par with what one would find at a take-out Chinese establishment.
Great price performer! Food was good. Finally found a great noodle menu. Rest of menu looks good too. Pleasantly surprised by the interior. Location good between Penn Station and Times Square. Made my list of restaurants to frequent. Would definitely recommend!
Good Chinese good. Fast delivery. I order from this place around once a week. I usually get the shrimp dumplings and tangerine chicken with brown rice. Food is reasonably priced, super fast delivery, and fresh. I also enjoy dining in at this restaurant.
Excellent and Inexpensive. In my opinion, this is one of the better if not the best inexpensive Chinese restaurant in the city.
Beautiful Room. Had a very nice meal, and the service was very attentive.
Fabulous meal! Dumplings were very good. Chicken and string beans were incredible. Fairly priced for midtown especially with cloth tablecloths and napkins and that level of service. highly recommend! Pork noodle soup was a big hit and the crispy noodles with nshrimp was reminiscent of food we had in Indonesia. Very aromatic noodles. Tasty!
I love the dumplings.😋 I try something new every time that I go. The food is so good. Shrimp in lobster sauce and the duck are two of my favorites.
Extra fancy Chinese restaurant! I came in Sunday afternoon and it was close to empty. They have a lot of seating, made me think on a busy evening it is packed. The food was filling and good. I loved that it came out hot, right off the stove. The happy hour was exciting. 5 dollars drinks, even if house liquor pretty tastey.
Great asain cuisine in Manhattan that doesn't burn the pocket. Plates are priced great and the portion sizes fill you up definitely.. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy!! They do have happy hour at a certain time which is great..
Loved the atmosphere and the food is reasonably priced and tasty.
This a great place for good Chinese food, it's affordable and delicious. I recommend the spicy beef and their soups. I'm giving 4 star because we found a strand of hair on the rice but then they gave us a new one after we complain.
Oh ma gawddd!! Cute little Chinese food spot. Fancy, affordable drinks and the food is awesome. Get the dumplings !!!!
Service was so so, but the food made up for it. Really enjoyed and would absolutely come back.
