Home Grown is not just the name, but the Menu!! Every dish was so fresh and delicious! Even the bottled Strawberry Lemonade was naturally sweet, super refreshing and not sugary at all. This is definitely a great place for a tasty, freshly made meal. My next visit there I'll be sitting on the outdoor patio enjoying a mimosa for brunch 🥂

This artsy vegetarian friendly location is truly a large part of why I knew Newark, DE and the University of Delaware were the places for me. Both times I visited the university before committing, I knew for certain the place to eat was Home Grown. The large menu, adorably artsy atmosphere, and the versatility of the food perfect for any diet create an unforgettable experience!

The menu has a wide variety of options (from burgers to Asian noodle bowls) with plenty of choices for vegetarians and gluten sensitive people. The atmosphere is casual and the artwork is fun, you'll often see a lot of the local college crowd inside. The Tot-chos are a MUST-TRY and stop by for happy hour!

Staff and management is always friendly and attentive. Most menu items have vegan options. They have good specials during the week - Thursday's half priced nachos and margaritas are my favorite. Definitely one of the best restaurants on main street!

Omg when I say those crabby fries SLAPPED!! They were so good! I got huevos rancheros. Also, buffalo chicken and waffles. I really liked the portion sizes and it was all under great prices. It hit the spot. Definitely a great brunch place.

This american restaurant is really nice. The service is on point, reservations are easy, the waiter is friendly and fast. The food is good. I recommand the salmon if you want to change a little. Otherwise their burgers are excellent, especially the dirty burger (the one on the picture).

I see why this has been rated best of Delaware for so long! An impressive variety in terms of cuisine and offerings. They have an excellent sense of balance within the dishes as well. The jerk tator tots have a fruit salsa and the Thai chicken and waffles has a veggie slaw. In both cases the heaviness/savory-ness of the dishes are nicely complemented by the acidity/sweetness of the sides.

Very vegetarian-friendly! We had the maple barbeque seitan wings and the vegetarian "chicken" and waffles, very delicious. Service was quick. Not too friendly, but since we accidentally came here on alumni weekend I could see how staff could be a bit annoyed.
