Other than being a little pricey it was great. The meat in the Newberger was incredible with the minced short rib and bacon mixed in with the ground beef - what incredible flavor!! The price on the Newberger wasn't too bad, but the dinner menu looked rather expensive. But no complaint about the food itself. My Newberger and my wife's quiche were excellent, and we enjoyed the creme brulee we shared for dessert. The dinner and dessert menus, as well as the lunch menu, had many other very tempting items on them. Got a little money to spend? I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Delicious food, excellent wine list and amazing service! My wife and I came all in for an early Anniversary dinner, and were pleasantly surprised at the menu selection. Our server presented us with a recommendation of Copper River Salmon with Lentils that was truly AMAZING! The dessert menu is also a must, you'll love the dark chocolate ding-dong! Highly recommend this restaurant for a unique dining experience that you won't forget! A++

4 of us went to dinner tonight to celebrate Jim's birthday. The food was wonderful, the staff was so friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is wonderful. If I'd have tasted the cream of portabella mushroom soup before I ordered, that's all I would have eaten, it was so good! The salads are beautiful, and dinner was hot and fresh. Love this place!

This is such a great place for lunch or dinner. The menu is fresh and inventive and everything is so good it's almost impossible to order just a few items. I absolutely love it! Janet and Martin are excellent hosts and their staff is incredible. Go right now!

One of the best restaurants in the Willamette Valley. I've been comming here for years when visiting the area. The Cuban black bean soup is a signature appetizer unlike anything I've every had. Good local wine list and spirits bar.

Excellent dinner on Friday night. We tried a couple of Rieslings off the wine list. My wife loved the black bean soup and the grilled shoulder of beef. I had the chicken soup and the Seafood Zarzuela. Both were very well one. Sorry but there was no room for desert....

Exquisite Dining Experience. Most of the time, a meal out has just a few of components that define a great experience. Presentation, Ambiance, Service, and Savour. When you add company that you enjoy, the memories can stay for a lifetime.

I look at all of these things while measuring my desire to return. Sometimes, the experience has been so beautifully unique, I never wanted to spoil it with a return visit. But, that's just for reasons of personal friendships.

I hope not to seem snobbish- but I've been a few places over the years, and was fortunate to have a father who made me try a bite of everything he presented, and a spouse who was always on a quest for the next best place to share with me. For sentimental reasons, I have become quite passionate to continue this quest, as if to find yet another treasure.

In my opinion, Subterra deserves a PASS. What a fine memory.
Presentation: fine table setting, comfortably away from other diners
Ambiance: Semi-dark, very light music
Service: Attended to all (party of 6) with attention to personal likings. Highly skilled, gifted for service, genuine, and pleasant.
Savour: Three appetizers were shared. Combinations of cheeses, fruits, herbs, and meats were divine, and a local wine of my choice was served.
Lunch for me was the Pastrami Reuben, and I enjoyed it very much (though my preference is for a sliced bread, and it was served on a roll).

It is clear that the Chef has a refined palate, and Server (Owner) is happy with her business. I would happily return! Thank you.

Nice place with good food. Disappointed with entree size. Even with soup and salad I left hungry.

This hidden gem is in the Williamette Valley wine country area. The restaurant is beneth a wine tasting room. The atmosphere is cozy and warm with limited seating. Included in the price of the entree is a soup and salad which were both outstanding. I had the Pork with Leek and Mustard. My wife had the Duck Confit with White Bean Cassoulet. Both were excellent. This was a $$$$ meal for a $$$ price. Our server was attentive and charming. However, she was the only server handling six tables by the time we left.

Excellent entrees and appetizer. We aren't wine drinkers, so can't speak to that, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our meal. Started with the scallops to share, then I chose the pork and crispy polenta, while my husband got the lamb gnocchi. We finished with the lemon olive oil pistachio cake. The only thing that wasn't as we hoped was that they didn't have any coffee to go with dessert. Everything we ordered was gluten free and delicious, and staff members were friendly, helpful, and attentive. I don't know why we haven't eaten here before, but we certainly will again.

A little difficult to find. Don't just rely on Google Maps to get you here. Call the restaurant for directions. Upscale, creative menu. Many wines to pair with. Prawn appetizer was excellent. Lemon chiffon cake dessert was sublime. Service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere/ambiance is stark. Needs a little more warmth in decor.

My husband and I have visited here multiple times and love it. The wine always pairs beautifully with the meal that the server recommends. Overall it's a great place for a fancy dinner out ☺️ wish it was a little closer to Hillsboro 😉
