After seeing this place on the list as one of the best burger spots in the US, I had to give it a go. I'm not sure if I am even the same girl I was before I went there.
I love burgers. I will try any burger place I come across so I had no issues making the half hour drive. It was hard to settle on one but I went with the Twice Roasted and did some loaded fries on the side. The inside is a bit small (or cozy), but I was lucky to find a table before the food came. I took a few fries before trying the burger and the fries were great. You could tell they were fresh and hand cut.
The burger though. One bite and every other burger I have ever had paled in comparison. The flavor exploded and I didn't want anything else again. The meat was seasoned wonderfully, it was so juicy; the cheese was melted perfection. You could taste the garlic and the roasted peppers complimented everything so well.
I was sad when it was gone. The only solace I have is that I can go back! Do yourself a favor and go there posthaste.
I've been here three times. I've had this place on my list I places to try for a long time. It did not disappoint. Brought my family too and they really like it. My goal it's to try each burger. The hand cut fries are bomb... Real fries not that frozen junk. Worth the trip.
First time coming here and we can’t wait to come back. I thought I knew what burger I was going to order after studying it before we got there. Then I saw the specials! I love that they layer flavor on top of flavor and use local ingredients ! We will be back soon!!
The best burgers and sweet potato fries in the world ! When you can build your own burger or order a "which came first " then you know you are in the best place ! Check it out and see for yourself !
I love GoldBurgers! The food is consistently delicious and the menu has a lot of different burgers to try. I also appreciate that every time I've been there, the staff has always been super friendly. This is a must-try!
Best burger I have ever had, the ambiance is wonderful, staff is always upbeat, prices are great, selection is better than most, Goldburger is our go to burger and hot dog place, only one drawback, it's 13 miles from our home
Not only was the food excellent but so was the staff. Sorry didn't catch her name but it is quite refreshing to hear someone ask how your meal is and if there is anything they can do for you. It was as if I was at a 3 star michelin restaurant and once again the food was so fresh and amazing. I will definitely be stopping by again because you get more than enough for the price you pay.
Been there twice and loved it both times. The staff is friendly and the owner came out to ask how everything was. Great burgers and awesome sweet potato fries. Great place to get a quick lunch.
It's all about the specials. Fantastically creative burgers, dogs, porks, falafels, you name it. Comfort food to the max. Rich, savory fats and flavors. Gourmet local meats, cheeses and vegetables, delivered in a casual burger joint-type environment. I'm hooked for life.
The special on March 22, 2017, the General Tso's Pork sandwich with kimchi & mango sauce, was simply incredible. At a restaurant full of delicious bites, this sandwich was, by far, the best thing I've ever eaten there. Please bring it back soon.

One of the best burgers in CT. Meet the owner and hes really into his work which was refreshing. Burgers have great flavor, and are made Fresh. I tell everyone about this gem. If you haven't had the chance you need to make trip down. Check out the suggestion box writings on the wall. Great idea. Thanks GoldBurgers for making a fat kid happy!
great burgers, fries and onion rings. they have hotdogs, veggie burgers and turkey legs. great place for some real food fast.
This has been my go to burger restaurant for probably 10 years now. By far the best burger I've ever had. This is what I like to call a "crumbly" Burger where the meat is not pressed so tightly allowing for a juicy flavorful and tender patty. Very unique take on the modern classic meal.
Their food is fresh and homemade, tasty and priced right where it should be. The fries and onion rings are absolutely delicious and the different combinations of burgers (or chicken/veggie) plus an option to make your own is just fantastic. Available outdoor seating in the heart of Newington is perfect for nice days.
If you're looking for one of the best burger spots in the area and possibly Connecticut, this is the place for you.
It really is that good. This might be the best Burger I've ever had. There's a pretty good selection here if you are a meat lover, and a meatless option as well. Burgers are on the greasy side, but are loaded with flavor. Onion rings and fries are good also. Burgers come out pretty quickly, service is friendly, and and it's very inexpensive. This place gets the job done with a minimum of pretentiousness or fuss. Highly recommended.
Work bought us lunch from here, and it was the first time I've had their food. I had the bacon, egg, and cheeseburger, and it was the best burger I ever had, hands down. The waffle fries were great, too.

The Macpatty burger is my absolute favorite burger. Hands down, the best burger restaurant I have ever been to.
Staff are phenomenal, kind, and efficient. The restaurant is in a great location and has a great aesthetic. The food, burgers and fries, are delicious!
Wonderful food and people. I was unable to pick up my food at the appropriate time, and actually later then they were open, as i work on the ambulance and had multiple calls. The staff called me, and asked where i was. I informed them i was on an emergency call, working. The wonderful staff member let me pick up the food late, outside of their open hours. Thank you so much, and while it may have been cooler than regular, the food was great! The cool, is my fault, because i picked up the food hours after ordering. Very kind and accommodating.
This place was so freaking good!!! I came here after seeing man vs food. This place is amazing! I loved the jam u jelly and the Mac and cheese burger. It was amazing. You have to get the Mac and cheese bites!!!!! The pickles are also amazing. I love them. I will make it a point to stop here again before I leave CT. This place has the best back story and is probably one of the best burgers I've eaten so far. I can't give this place more praise. just go here and get food. You won't regret it.
HURRY HURRY to Goldburgers!! You won't regret it in the least. Every single thing here is delicious. All their food is super fresh and insanely flavorful. It's our go to burger place now. The only thing I'd put in the suggestion box is that they start offering milkshakes sometime in the near future. With a burger and fries that delicious, all you want is a cool milkshake to go along with it. It's an all American pairing. But for now, will definitely continue coming here! Want to try everything on the menu!
