I find it hard to have great food close to LA. This place definitely does it. Cute little place, things are fairly priced and delicious! Waiters are very nice and happy. We had the grilled lobster and jumbo shrimp tacos. VERY good and light. Portions are good, filling. Would recommend. Nothing fancy, the food speaks for itself and there’s a great view. Parking on premises too.

Dropped in for lunch with 4 other friends. We sat on covered patio next to docks. Great view! All 5 of us loved the grub we had. Service was ok. Prices are good and would definitely eat here again.

One of the best places you can eat at in Newport Beach! Prices are very fair, service was excellent despite it being a very busy place and the view outside was beautiful. Me and my family ordered the Nachos and Lamb Lollipops as an appetizer, the small size Nachos were still gigantic and fed our whole family! The lamb was so delicately cooked and the sauces given added to the taste tenfold. For entrees we ordered the Clam Chowder, Kobe Beef Sliders, Mahi-mahi tacos and I personally had the Halibut. Each and every meal was nothing short of an explosion of deliciousness in every bite and the presentation was stunning with every dish. We were told by our kind server that the cooks in the kitchen were very excited to get our food out. As someone who works in a kitchen myself, it makes me very happy to see people who love their job and love to cook. I would love cooking here too if the food looked and tasted this good! Anytime we come to Newport, Woody's will always be on the menu. Do not pass this place up!

Great view & service! Food was so good & big portions! We also shared a waffle but totally forgot to take a picture. They have bottomless mimosas which looked really good too.

Nice views, delicious food, and great service. Highly recommend the clam chowder, one of the best I’ve ever had. P.S. they don’t have lobster rolls here which was confusing because there’s so many reviews on them. They have lobster tacos though.

We were visiting Newport Beach with my son and Daughter-in-law and looking for a place to eat dinner that was unique and local. We were blessed to find this place. They have tables right along the water. The service was relaxed, friendly, and knowledgable about the menu. We were served by a male waiter and a female waitress. Both seemed like they enjoyed their work and making sure customers had a good experience. It was so good, I wanted to go back the next night. Whatever you get for a meal, you must try the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer. They were so amazing!

Love our local restaurant and wine bar right on the bay! The food is phenomenal, the staff is outstanding, and their restaurant week menu is divine! Really recommend the grilled romaine Caesar salad with the seafood paella!

Went in for brunch with the family on vacation and sat on the patio. Great spot to visit when you want to watch some harbor action in Newport. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Eggs Benedict was good but could be better, needed some flavor. Service was good. Didn't know about bottomless mimosas but I would've loved that.

I had the pleasure of dining at this waterfront restaurant, and it's an experience I won't forget. The location right on the harbor offers breathtaking views that make your meal even more enjoyable. The food exceeded my expectations, especially considering the reasonable prices. I highly recommend trying the salmon with stuffed crab; it's a delicious combination that's worth every bite. And the calamari? Simply put, it's to die for - crispy, flavorful, and a must-try appetizer. The service here was attentive, and I appreciated how they kept our drinks refilled without needing to ask. All in all, it's a fantastic place for a meal with a view, offering good food at a great price. Don't miss out on this gem by the harbor!

Just moved to Newport Beach 3-4 days ago and the day we moved in we got a to-go order. I ordered CRAB STUFFED SALMON which is Pan seared salmon, stuffed with lump crab, lemon butter, mashed potatoes, sautéed asparagus. Delicious. My son ordered LOBSTER PASTA Lobster, herb butter sauce with linguine in red sauce. He loved it. Dinner definitely got the spot. I will definitely go back. Restaurant is in by the walking distance from our place.

Came here with family visiting and they loved it. The stuffed salmon was delicious. Family loved the clam chowder so much, they got 2 bowls. Our server was super nice and on top of our drinks, constantly checking on us. There was an error made on their end and they took care of it right away. It was a great experience. We did park on the side street because their lot had valet parking or some sort of stacked parking.

This wonderful restaurant is a Newport Beach classic that has been open at the same location for over 60 years. The current 4 owners treat the employees and customers like old friends. This is a laid back place with a full bar and tables indoors and outdoors. It is located on the waterfront with plenty of room for boats to dock and enjoy a gourmet food and cocktails. The bartender, Andy, makes you feel at home. The food is excellent with specials on weekdays and a fabulous Brunch on Sundays. Taco Tuesday offers gourmet tacos at 2 for $6 with choice of crispy fish, grilled fish, chicken, steak, shrimp or scallywag (shrimp with bacon and surprise condiments). The lobster plate is a steel; priced under $30 and delicious! Have a Margarita for $5 at happy hour or a Tuesday Corona for $3. Enjoy a generous portion of prime rib on Wednesdays, 1/2 price bottles of wine on Thursdays...

Love this place. I've never been here before, but I'm definitely coming back. Good food, really good drinks. Live watching the harbor. Try it, you'll like it.👍

The server was nice, a little aloof, but he got the job done. Food came out real quick, and it was very good.I would've preferred all meals were brought out at the same time. Instead, they brought whatever was ready first, so a few people in our party had to sit and watch us eat. The restaurant was clean. Not enough, fans, and it was very hot and humid inside. We were all sweating , so it was uncomfortable to eat with the heat.
