Very nice dining environment. Good Indian buffet. Have been eating here more than ten years. One of the two Indian buffet I enjoy the most in OC area.
Pitty it was almost empty (weekend night). Customer service is one of the best I experienced, very good guy there. Food is very good. Big portions, you take leftovers home for sure. Nice place. Clean. Looks like theatre. Love it there. Will be back.
Seriously the best Indian food in Southern California. The lunch buffet has lots of options for vegetarians and includes a drink like soda or mango lassi. But by far their Bharta is the best I've ever had.
I love eating Samosa, so that's one thing I try in most of the restaurant. Even though, it was served fresh and super hot, it tasted ok, not so great. Its been almost a year, I had tried Bharta (roasted eggplant) at any restaurant as previous experiences were all bad. So thought of trying it here a
Not a real busy place but the quality of the food was awesome and the bread was very very awesome. Wasn't sure if the food would be fresh but it was pretty good. The service was pretty good our waiter didn't seem too friendly but very straightforward but we like him. Overall a very good experience
Nice Indian restaurant. Very good food. Also can do small parties. my opinion 60 to 80 guests easily. Lot of parking available. Also they do have a bar.
Worth giving 4 starts for Ambiance, Buffet, Hospitality, and for the Price.
We had a wonderful experience. The food choices and recommendations were fantastic. The flavors were some of the best I've tasted as far as Indian cuisine goes. The female owner(?) who took our order was knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. Particularly, when I found I had forgotten my purse
Still good food and a nice place for a family dinner My family was all together for a sad occasion, the death of a family member. We decided to go out to eat so we could talk and exchange memories, and I remembered Saagar as someplace that was quiet, attractive and had good Indian food. We weren't
One of the best Indian restaurant in Newport Beach. Lots of vegetarian foods available here. Table service is very good. Ambiance is very good. Enough space for sitting. Staffs are very good. Parking is free and has enough space for that. I usually go for their lunch buffet. They have very good dish
Good food but only had the lunch buffet. Large selection of vegetarian, chicken and fish choices. I must go back for a dinner service to try one of their Vindaloos, a Korma and a fresh Bhindi Masala. The service was attentive but not hovering. Our Indian friends picked this place because it is one o
Good ethnic food at a good price! Nice lunch buffet offers fish, chicken and goat along with great veggie sides. Fair desserts. Pleasant service. Linen tablecloth and napkins is a nice touch. Clean presentation.
Updated 7-10-2016 My family and I still enjoy returning here for a Sunday buffet. The building may not look like it fits the food served, but I greatly enjoy the Indian cuisine here and to me, that's what matters most. The family that operates the place are natives of India, and they do a great job
This is really good Indian food especially they have a good buffet for lunch which is about $12 give or take. Its definitely worth it. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated and the location is great just off MacArthur Blvd. There is plenty of parking also.
The best Indian food in Irvine. Nice and clean restaurant. However, recently they increased the price of lunch buffet. Now the prices are 12.95 in weekdays and 14.95 in weekends. A bit higher than other Indian restaurants that serve in 9.99.
Great food. We love the Saag dishes, both chicken and shrimp. I've had quite a few of their different lamb dishes and like them all. We've dined in and gotten carryout. The carryout portions are huge !!!
