Paul was our server and was attentive and pleasant. We had the specials of the night, their twist on French Onion soup and calamari. Both were unique interpretations of classics and were excellent. My wife had the NY Strip that was well prepared, maybe a hint more than the requested medium, but still very good. I had the leg of lamb, made boneless and medium rare as recommended. Excellent. New Zealand lamb, not gamey at all and very tender. Not sure exactly what the veggies were under it (not a huge fan of those) but the meat was the centerpiece and was delightful. My 13 yo daughter couldn’t find anything to her liking so they made her “the world’s best grilled cheese sandwich” with fries. I must admit, that grilled cheese was almost as good as my lamb! (Almost). Dessert was an excellent creme brûlée. Really enjoyed the meal.

My wife and I went here during Restaurant Week. I had the shrimp and grits, the leg of lamb, and the carrot cake with cinnamon ice cream. It was one of if not the best meal I've ever eaten. The staff was knowledgeable, super friendly, and accommodating. The only negatives weren't their fault. We took my 2 and 3 year olds. They were terrible. The staff was fully accommodating and helpful, and brought them fries (also delicious). My second complaint is Original Sin is a terrible hard cider. Also, not their fault. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend it highly. I would give it more stars if I could.

When I go to dinner, I want a place that feels like home but with great food and atmosphere. Not only does Circa deliver in all areas, it goes above and beyond. The staff has always been wonderful and the food is indescribable. Well worth the price. 5 star rating is not enough for this place!

Went here for our anniversary dinner. Fantastic meal of rockfish and the ribeye. Paul was our server and he is great. If you want a good meal with great ambiance and vibe I highly recommend.

Romantic little slice of food heaven. Bison meatloaf melts in your mouth bursting with flavor. Steak was very tender. Drinks yummy. Deserts amazing. Kip took care of us with a passion for his menu and patiently answered all of our questions. Will definitely be back !!

Dinner was amazing from start to finish. The dishes were prepared perfectly with wonderful flavor. Service was fantastic. I highly recommend you try Circa. This place will now become one of our regular places to go.

My wife and I ate there during newport news restaurant week and loved it. The 3 course meal was delicious . The portion size was perfect for each course and for the whole meal. The taste was above and beyond expectations. We will definitely try this place again.

My husband took me for our 5 year anniversary! Every thing we ate was amazing! It is hard to impress and waterman and his wife with seafood dishes but you all managed to blow us out of the water with the Oyster appetizer dish and the rockfish dinner! The service was impeccable and Paul was the most accommodating and friendly server we have ever had!We will definitely be returning for many more visits. Best date night we have had in a long long time!!

Favorite restaurant hands down - the animal house lamb burger is amazing! Great fresh food, unique menu items (but delicious), friendly staff and the bartender Kip makes you want to stay all night

My boyfriend and I just had dinner. We had the Lamb burger and Scallops. The server ..Alan was excellent.. Chef \OWNER came out and greeted and spoke with us in length.Our meal was fabulous!! 5 star and Alan pared my meal with a beautiful Savignon Blanc. I wish we had room for dessert. What a great experience and we will BE BACK! Thank you Fred&Brenda
