Bayfront Franksters - Newport - Photo album

I have visited the Bayfront many times throughout the years and in all of the different season. I always get great joy out of all the shops, restaurants, and salty air. Not too far from the ocean or the aquarium!
Quaint, cute, lots of food and shops, enjoyed the waterfront. Wall mural art that I find beautiful. Areas to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. I try to stop each time I'm in the area.
Just awesome. I love coming here during the spring and summer months. Fall and winter can be dicey sometimes but otherwise it's worth the visit. The aesthetics and historical value of Newport shouldn't be overlooked.
This place has such an amazing collection of shops and restaurants, am somewhat disappointed I didn't get to go to all of them. Has something I've never seen anywhere else: a dock surrounded by barking sea lions at all hours of the day. Was insanely cute and fascinating. Many of the buildings also h
Nice place to window shop and get a bit to eat. Check out the seal dock to see the sea lions sleeping and swimming around the docks. Good fresh sea food restaurants and candy/ice cream shops if you need something sweet! Beautiful view of the bay and the bridge from the docs.
This is not your average tourist destination. The The whole time I was fascinated with the the juxtaposition of industrial fishing businesses mixed right in with shops and restaurants. It was truly unique, endlessly interesting and a little weird in a surprising and good way. The area definitely has
The Newport Historic Bayfront is a great way to experience Newport and take in all the scenery. Multiple places to walk and explore. It seems to always be a busy place. Watching the Sea Lions never gets old. The water is always a peaceful place to be! Check out the pot shops first for the best expe
An amazing and historic place to visit in Newport and experience its beauty. Have a walk around the Bayfront and enjoy its beauty. One can shop also in different shops around and can see and hear Sea Lion.
Fun little area to walk around and see the fishing boats, shops, and sea lions galore!
Authentic Bayfront experience! The sights, sounds and smells of a working dock. Lots of fishermen, craftsmen, and artists in the area with many shops, restaurants, bars and the original Mo's. The sea lion docks are fun to stop at and watch them show off. Ripley's Bemieve it or Not is also down there
Great fun for a quick day trip from Willamette Valley...we luv the taffy and candy shops...fun gift shops and art. After leaving the candy store...my daughter commented that it reminds her of "what a candy store in heaven would be like!" But the sea lions were our favorite! Loud and stinky though!
You can access the dock area and watch the sea lions sunbathe
Fun area to walk around, seeing the sites. Lots of cute shops to browse through for all kinds of budgets and a number of great places to eat. Also fishing boats and seals! 🎣😊
Great selection of restaurants, but could a couple more non seafood oriented choices. Can be crowded but your right there by everything. If you haven't been I would recommend going for the day. Lighthouse near it very cool.
It was a nice walk. Learned a few new things
Beautiful and well maintained. Clean with lots of bench seating facing the docks if you want to get a great meal at one of the many surrounding restaurants to enjoy the view. A must see.
Had a great time walking along the Bayfront - Shops, Restaurants, Sea Lions!!
OMG, All I can say is, it is worth the drive. The ambience, food, the staff, I can't wait to go back to the Clearwater on the Newport bay front. The view was fantastic as well. Laura the waitress, "You Rock".
Great time with an amazing mix of seafood restaurants (where the catch of the day jumps from the fishing boat into your plate. You can't get more fresh than that.) to small art (especially glass) galleries. Ho first to see all the sea lions on the docks.
