Stopped in today after shopping at Newport base commissary as we do every month. I ordered the hot buttered lobster roll.
When I was served by someone other than our waiter...the lobster roll was soft, spongy and soggy...just looking at the roll on the plate you could tell it was it not the toasted
Nice cosy bar and restaurant. The staff were cheery and friendly despite the number of guests. Food was OK though MY portion was kind of small(meaning that I could have done with more of the food). Understand this place has been around for a while.
The best meal they have is the country fried chicken take out

Clean and a great set up for current safety standards. Our waitress was attentive without being pushy or making us feel rushed. She made great suggestions and didn't force anything. Great experience.
