We were from out of town and I saw all the positive reviews for this restaurant. Our meals were excellent and were a great price as well. The portions were very generous and my picky eater son polished off his taco and chicken quesadilla quickly and declared it the best he ever ate. The service was friendly and they brought our food quickly. We will be back!

Best restaurant in Newport. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. The food service delicious, and the service is great. The servers will joke with you and are friendly. The salsa is spot on, they just recently updated their menus and added some new items. All around great place to eat. Probably the restaurant I eat at the most.
Awesome place to eat and great, great service! Rose Torres was our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous! Great food, cold drinks, and a great smile and very friendly staff...what more could you ask for at any restaurant?!!! One of the best in Newport!! Thank you Rose for your service and your kind attitude..š Also, if you get the chance get the Newport Special entree as we loved it and it was amazing!!!!
Great little Mexican restaurant with large portions and fresh ingredients. Free chips and salsa as soon as we were seated; you should go.

I was a little concerned at first because the waiter was very bland, he had no personality. The food was good, the salsa was good, the guacamole was tasty, the chips were a little over done, but were good. The food was also reasonably priced which was a plus.
They had a limited variety of soft drinks and they had no homemade hot sauce. This is the first time in years of traveling and eating at a different Mexican restaurant at least once a week where they didnāt have their own homemade hot sauce. They were also limited to two varieties of store bought sauce, at least thatās what I understood. All in all the place was clean and the food was good and reasonably priced so I would definitely recommend.
Definitely worth the visit. Great food at a decent price. Best of all was the excellent customer service which lately has been on the decline at most restaurants. You'll be impressed at Monterreys!

I basically live on the road and in hotels. Mexican food is my favorite so I eat at a lot of different restaurants and I'm generally disappointed because I can usually cook it better myself, but I ordered the tacos de carnitas and it was really good. based on the dish that I ordered, I would give more than 5 stars. service wasn't terrible and my waitress was really friendly, but I'm pretty sure the guy that brought me my food was drunk so I dropped a star.
We were seated quickly. Friendly, attentive staff. They were open late which was a plus. Large portion sizes and the prices were reasonable. Large menu.
