The food was great. The service was great. Our waitress continuously came around to refill coffee and was very nice. I got the French toast, eggs, and bacon.

Evening Rose Cafe is a quaint little restaurant tucked off of the highway in Nice, CA. They serve delicious breakfast with good-sized portions. They also have sandwiches and entrees and if you're hungry for a little something more they accommodate that too. The only downside is that they're only open till 2 p.m. but I think that's also part of what makes them special. It's never super crowded. They always have a good amount of customers, most of whom are regulars, but it's not so noisy and overcrowded that it's uncomfortable. The food is really really good and they can accommodate special orders. Not organic foods but if you want something left out that you don't like or if you want a special omelette they will make it for you if they can. The decor is nothing special it's just very small and very quaint and very comfortable. it's never too cold in there. It's never too warm in there. It's just a comfortable tiny little place that I've referred to as a hole in the wall, even though it's too quaint to be called a hole in the wall, that has really good food and I suggest giving it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. One more thing you can call or walk in for to-go order requests.
The Evening Rose is a wonderful little cafe with friendly staff that make you feel at home. The restaurant is located in the original Nice post office and has a rustic kitchen dinner vibe. I particularly enjoy their omelets, though they have great omelets also. It is great place to meet up at after church. Only downsides for me: they are only open until 2 pm and serve soda by the can. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for them.
Great ole country kitchen with tons of seating, great service, and a hefty menu of everything you'd expect from a cafe and grill.
Located 100-yards off the highway, make it just enough to feel peaceful and somber beyond the large sunrise facing glass.

I join friends from Sacramento just to enjoy the drive, the food and and great company at The Evening Rose Cafe! Each time the food and service is excellent! Highly recommend many things on the menu!! Everything is Fresh! Especially love The Home made Chili Omelet or or BLT or Jalapeno Burger & Crispy fries! #EveningRoseCafeYesAnytime
A great place for a simple, deliciously cooked meal! My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a quick bite to eat while visiting Clear Lake. We tried the Chicken Strips with Fries and the Buffalo Chicken Ranch Sandwich and would seriously recommend!
I love this place. It is off the main hwy so if you don't know of it unfortunately most don't see or know about it. The food is good, it's quaint and quiet and the service is always friendly. Best place on the north side of the lake for a decent priced meal.

Very good food and they give plenty of food for your dollar you won't go away hungry and it is a family run restaurant so you get that down home cooking the food is always good with plenty of portions
BEST Homemade Biscuits and Gravy EVER!! Had 5 in our party and everyone's breakfast was SO good. Only downside... It's not closer to home π

Great hole in the wall business! The waitresses can be very rude BUT the food is always spot on so it makes up for the rude lady's.
