The place was great and so was the food and service. When we went to leave, our battery was dead from the lights being left on and when my husband went in to ask if anyone in this full place could jump us off (we had our 2 year old grand daughter with us) and you could hear crickets. This is a small intimate place, they saw us and heard us. Finally, the young girl who served us, Kinley, came out and jumped us off. Everything was great except the patrons!
Pretty good food and the waitress was very friendly, worth a trip to.
If you want delicious southern comfort you don’t have to cook, you can find it here. We stick to our usuals which do not disappoint; fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, apple cobbler, green beans, coleslaw, and Turkey dinner. Everything else is okay in my opinion, i.e, mac n cheese should only be a 5 cheese baked master piece and a peach cobbler should only have fresh peaches- unfortunately it’s not that here. Staff is always friendly and restaurant is always clean, def recommend.

The food is always amazing. The server was very good. We were able to order off the kids menu for my 78yr old client. I recommend this place for great southern cooking. The chicken livers are delicious.
For the money and the hospitality this restaurant is just a feel good comfortable place where smiles and service are included with every meal. The Fried Green Tomatoes are the most unpretentious with just the perfect amount of wonderfully seasoned breading that are among the best I've ever tasted! The dipping sauce is a perfect complement to these incredible little circles of wonder! Full stop! The myriad of dishes are just what you would expect in comfort food. The blackened fish with a baked potato wasn't doused in salt to give it taste like so many lower priced restaurants do. Pass on the desserts, they are fine for there low price, but obviously canned fruits and this the four stars for an otherwise 5 star for the value of the meals.
I absolutely loved this place. Everyone was so nice. Food was great. Great prices. Great service. Amber sat us and Kristina was our server. They were both so kind to my husband and I. Even if the food wasn’t good, I would go back for Amber and Kristina. They were so nice!!! 🤩
My sister was in town and wanted to stop and eat here. Ordered the "2 meat* lunch. Chicken and chicken livers, pretty good and a lot of food. Didn't finish it all, paid a dollar more for a breast. Good customer service is always a plus. Wouldn't of normally eaten here but good price and portions for lunch.
Country, stick to your ribs, meals. Chicken fried steak was very good, chicken and dumplings I will not partake of again, dumplings are not homemade, more of a frozen noodle thing. Very friendly staff. Came for the okra!!
Had an absolutely awesome experience. Food was delicious. Hot and fresh. Atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. And our server, Anna was Top Notch. She was very nice, quick to meet our needs, very sweet and attentive.
Our waiter was stellar! The hush puppies were delish! The blacken shrimp was full of flavor. We will definitely be back❣️

Have not been to Po Folks in years, but still as good as I remember. Tony was my server, very courteous, polite and efficient.
Edit.....went today and was very disappointed. I felt like I was being rushed to finish my meal and leave. I went when they first opened today, not many people. Had a side salad and before I was done with it, my server came and wanted to take my dish away, had to tell him I was still eating. Not once did I get or offered a refill on my tea. The biscuit that came out with my meal was cold and hard, mashed potatoes were nothing but soup with the gravy.
Edit....... after a very disappointing 2nd meal here, I decided to try again. There was 5 of us dining. It was a wonderful experience again. Tony was are server, very attentive and efficient. I had the seafood plate, had fried fish, shrimp and clam strips, boy do they pile on the clam strips! Cole slaw and tater salad with hushpuppies Enough for me to take home for dinner. In fact all 5 of us ended up taking containers of food home. I changed my 2 star to 5.
I want to say I had their 4 pc chicken dinner with 2 sides and a breadstick. There is no place on earth that has a better deal or chicken cooked as well as this dinner. Kinlyn was a fantastic waitress and was so friendly and helpful. I am from Ct. on vacation and the experience was a memorable one. Thank you Niceville PoFolks.
Excellent food and service. I ordered the lunch shrimp (6 vs 12 for dinner) grilled over a bed of rice, with sides of fries and corn on the cob and hushpuppies. Everything was excellent. The shrimp were grilled tender and moist, not salty. Corn was plump and steak fries were perfectly cooked crispy outside and fluffy inside. Nothing was over seasoned. I will certainly be back to try other entrees.
Anthony O was a great server very friendly and offered great advice on food to choose never had to ask for more drink or anything he was on top his job will definitely visit again
First timer here. We ordered the chicken and dumplings with grits and hush puppies side of baked apples. Yum!
Also ordered fish which was a little raw inside.

Finally came to try this out after living here a few years. I've been missing out. You get plenty of food for your buck. The service was great and Amber helped answer all of our questions.
Turns out Weds also has kids eat free (with purchase of an adult meal). There's also an all you can eat option too (which I just wasn't prepared for that lol).
Picked up some delicious items and everything was great; shrimp poboy, blackened chicken tenders, fried chicken tenders, chicken and dumplings, fried okra, red beans n rice, etc etc bunch of sides to try.
