The food has been great; hot and fresh.
I highly recommend their pork egg rolls, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, general TSO and chicken and broccoli.
I wish they’d allow the front door to open vs having to squeeze through to pick up an order.
The food is incredible. When they say spicy, they aren't joking. The spicy tofu was hotter than any other Thai or Chinese dish I have experienced. Loved the peanut dumplings, the sauce was good and there was a big drizzle of actual peanut butter. The dumplings were a really good size and we actually saved some for leftovers.
There are many good items on the menu, but I really love the Sichuan Style Braised Sliced Beef/ Fish the most; the garlic and spice smells so good and the beef/ fish is very tasty. In regards to other items… some are just OK, and if you like you dishes done other ways you should ask them to do so; they are open for a bit of customization free of charge.
When I stumbled upon this restaurant I wasn't aware that it was carry out only but the staff was friendly and let me in. The food was made quickly which made me think it had been there awhile but it was delicious. Big chunks of juicy chicken breast and spicy sauce and the crab rangoon was tasty too. I will go back again.
What an amazing place! We are privileged to have such an authentic Sichuan style Chinese restaurant in town. Immediately after walking in, the smell (and after we got our food, the taste) was so similar to the food I ate while in China a few years ago.
The staff was wonderfully helpful guiding my wife and I to a couple of good selections and our server was very attentive.
One note: the dinner entrees are sized for two people (it one really really hungry person ha!)
Fantastic spicy beef noodle soup. Fast, attentive service. Great place for lunch and dinner. We also come here for the $6 lunch special and with friends for hot pot dinner. My go to for real Chinese dinner.
We ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the Sichuan Tofu Hot Pot. Our dishes were amazing. Flavored throughout with that unique spicy-pungent Sichuan chili pepper and an abundance of garlic and magic, I highly recommend awakening your tastebuds at the Sichuan Chinese Restaurant in Uptown Normal. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!

Very tasty and economical food. Service was amazing. Tried hot and sour soup and the portion was huge. Chicken Sichuan dry is amazing, one of the best
Updated: They no longer have dine-in. This is still my favorite Asian place in town. My go to is the Pad Thai, but I've loved their food overall. It's definitely the most authentic in the area. I love he spiciness and flavor.
Everything we get here is great. They use fresh vegetables which really makes a difference. Best Chinese food in town.
So delicious! Our first time visiting a hot pot restaurant and we were more than impressed! The meat, mushrooms and vegetables were all excellent quality and very tasty.
Very authentic food and delicious!! Loved the Spicy beef and the dumplings in peanut sauce
First time I'd had hot pot since I lived in Shenyang nine years ago, and everything was spot-on authentic. Left with a full heart and belly.
As of April 2022, they do NOT offer dine in, which means no hot pot....and that is really the best thing on their menu, in my opinion.
I do really like the spicy string beans and the dumplings.
4 stars because the website and online presence is never updated to show real hours/open for dine in. And the fact they have lost my online order a couple of times.....not a big deal unless you're really hungry, and I was. A phone call to confirm they got your online delivery order is the ding of 1 star.
