A favorite place in OK. Excellent steaks for the money, a great ribeye that is superior to what you'd get at places like Outback for less money. Ribs are fine, nice salads. Great burgers. The pulled pork enchiladas are bland; if they would add their barbecue sauce to the pork the dish would soar.
Tuesdays!. Service depends on who you get. Sometimes I have to flag someone down for a refill and other times every thing I want is anticipated. Burger night is Tuesday - 5 dollars, making Tuesday my favourite day out of the week. The burgers are delicious, and why I keep coming back.
Great burger. I've been there twice recently, about a month apart. Got truly horrible service the first time. I went late in the afternoon, very few tables were occupied, The waitress was clearly interested only in talking to a couple guys at the bar. We could see each other very clearly, yet it took her forever to take my order, and to do anything else for that matter. I've had poor service in several establishments before, but this was a new low. I mentioned it to the greeter on the way out.
Went back a few weeks later and it was a totally different story. Service was impeccable. And the honey pepper bacon burger was fantastic both times by the way.
If you had bad service there before you should give them another chance. The only complaint I have now is that they are no longer a brew pub and their wonderful Honey Blonde beer from their previous incarnation is just a pleasant memory now.
Just Good Overall. I've been to this place many times in the past few months. While I can't really complain about the quality of the food, there really isn't anything that wowed me here. I initially played it safe and kept ordering their Dixieland Bowtie Pasta. I've had a bite of their Heather's Macaroni and Cheese several times and can safely say that although it tasted great, it didn't stand out from other places that serves mac and cheese. There is more variety when it comes to their burgers. They are perfectly cooked with the right amount of spice and flavor for the most part. I've had their Cheese and Mushroom burger and others I've dined with always go back to the Theta burger. For sandwiches, you can't go wrong with the Okie Pig. The flavor with a hint of sweetness is simply delicious. The burgers and sandwiches are served with your choice of a side of french fries, potato chips, pasta salad, borracho beans, fried okra or cole slaw. You can also opt to upgrade the side to sweet potato fries, onion rings, mac and cheese or burgundy mushrooms for an extra charge.
The one thing I would avoid is their Best Mex section. I tried 2 things from the menu 3 times and didn't really enjoy the experiences at all. I would rank the entrees I've tried in this section as slightly below average. I've had their Steak Fajitas and IU Beef Enchiladas. Both were on the salty side and really didn't rate high enough to compete with what other Mex or Tex Mex restaurants serve. I overlook this part a bit just because Interurban isn't strictly a Mex or Tex Mex restaurant. There's always something else one can enjoy from the menu.
Their tastiest entree that I've tried to date has to be their Teriyaki Chicken. It's simple, cooked right and served with a beer muffin and honey butter. I have never had a bad experience with this dish to date. Not bad overall, but not great either. One thing's for sure, they're consistent in my book.
Great deals on Tuesday and Thursday. We have never had a bad thing from this location. The Tuesday $5 Burgers are some of the best in town. Just wish they gave all you can eat fries or chips with it. We always order our burgers medium rare and only the last time we went did they not cook them correctly. Otherwise they are some of the best we've ever had. Thursday is 6.99 enchiladas and free chips and queso and salsa. If you are hungry then this is the night to go. We usually end up filling up on chips and when our entrees arrive we're stuffed. The enchiladas are good for a place that makes a variety of stuff. Definitely recommend the bread pudding without the tequila sauce. Just ask for a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of the sauce.
They have a few servers who are lacking but most of them are professional and very attentive. Our cups are rarely empty.
The blue cheese bacon burger and Cajun queso is out of this world amazing!! Love $5 burger night! Service is always great. Love this place!
Liked It Better The Second Time. I used to work in downtown Oklahoma City, and ate at the Interurban there. It was alright, but nothing that just jumped out and grabbed me. I recently tried the Norman location and it was very good! The burgers are great, and the chips and queso were awesome. I'll go back. It's not the cheapest place around, but the quality is very good.
Awesome Grub! (Interurban in Norman, OK). I've had a few different items on the menu and each time I've eaten there it has been nothing but excellent. I've enjoyed:
Honey Bacon Burger: Frickin' amazing! The bacon is out of this world, there's a ton of it on there, they made the patty perfectly and all of the vegetables were as fresh as I've had.
El Pollo Guapo: I don't even know what to say about this sandwich aside from "unbelievable". The chicken was juicy and perfectly blackened and the combination of the blackened chicked with the avacado....wow. Good stuff.
IU Blue Cheese Burger: Once again an epic burger. Mushrooms, carmelized onions, blue cheese crumbles, honey pepper bacon, jalepenos...this is the stuff dreams are made of.
The bread is delicious, the onion rings are some of the best I've EVER had and they've also got some spinach/artichoke dip that is flawless. Everything right down to the fresh chips they serve is top notch. The service is way more than polite and professional and I'd recommend this place to anyone. If you haven't tried it, TRY IT.
Sunday brunch buffet has greatly improved!
Yummy. I went with a friend on the enchilada night. I was surprised that you could actually pick any of their enchiladas for the special that night. I got the fajita chicken with the salsa verde. Excellent. The sides were beans and rice, the rice was what seemed like an actual portion (which was great) and the beans weren't refried but what I would call ham beans. On echilada night you also get chips, queso and salsa as soon as you sit down. The queso was so good. The prices were right and the service was great.
If you want an overpriced burger that's not high quality meat, "shabby mama," then you should go to Red Robin. I go to Interurban once a week, and the food and service is always been great! If you are going to order a burger from a restaurant that cooks them to temperature, don't get it to-go OR go to McDonalds. I love Interurban, a local Norman staple that takes pride in quality food and friendly service. "Shabby mama" obviously prefers the corporate crap that you can find in any city across the country.

Love Sunday brunch buffet!
Great looking building. I really like it but their French fries could be better.
My friend and I went in for lunch yesterday we sat at a booth at the bar. Our Bartender James was amazing! I am very picky with my Bloody Mary's and he hooked me up!! They were awesome!! He has a great personality and kept us laughing! Definitely a great Bartender!! Try the Flamethrower burger and a spicy Bloody Mary made by James!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great food! Try the "street bowl". The pulled pork was really good. It's not spicy at all, so I recommend asking for a chopped jalapeno. Will definitely visit again.
They really fill up that fish taco. Recommend eating it with a fork until manageable. Avocados very slippery and tend to not stay put, but excellent fish tacos. May consider a bib. Margarita were sweeter than my preference, but a hit with everyone else. Clean and appealing restaurant. The server was friendly and engaging.
Had the flame thrower burger. Great burger with a good portion of bacon. Added onion and this was a great combination. I got there towards the end of the lunch rush, service was quick and friendly servers. I would recommend it, next time you are on I35, on the south side of Norman.
It was pretty good today. Although the wait was to long even tho not to many people was there at 2:30 in the afternoon. The okra was delicious. Chelsea chicken is my favorite yum yum. The service was ok. Our glasses were never empty 👍
Unbelievable bbq burger. Would definitely recommend to a friend for food quality alone. We went on a slow night and our server was polite, but we waited for quite a while to get our food. Overall, not enough of an issue to detract a star.
