Food was amazing and fresh. Took a while for the food to come out but that was expected as they were busy. Drinks we refilled promptly while we waited! Definitely worth the wait for some amazing food and the best bloody mary! Large portions with lots to bring home. Will definitely be back again
Will definitely be back! The Reuben was to die for my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The wings could have been crispier but still yummy!
Best mushroom ravioli I've ever had. Also, I highly recommend the baked haddock!
The BEST BLOODY MARY EVER!!! Loved it beyond words <3 <3 <3 Want to know what brand of hot cherry peppers you use since they are perfect!! And the kids' meals were great and really reasonably priced <3 Staff was wonderful and just love the place <3 We will be back... probably regularly <3 :D I took pics of my Bloody Mary since it was such a masterpiece I had to capture it. People are going nuts over my post and well I think you will be seeing a bunch of people stopping in for the Mega Mary LOL My husband absolutely loved his too as did my mother <3 Highly recommend this place and highly recommend the Mega Mary to everyone :D

They restaurant itself was very eclectic and welcoming. Love the idea of the ceiling bucks for a great cause and fun to try. The food was incredible tasty with a large varying menu and daily specials. I have medical issues so my choice in food is very limited and they had no problem accommodating me and went out of there way to make sure I only received what was safe for me to eat. The help was friendly and attentive. I even got to meet the new owner. Such a cute couple and really on top of there game. It was such a pleasure. I will surely go back. Thank you
This is the coolest bar right on the rail trail! Food is great! Can't ask for a better location or cooler staff. I will be visiting again for sure.
I always enjoy it here great food great bartenders an awesome atmosphere
New owner is doing a great job! Gotta get the giant Bloody Mary with all the fixings!
creative and fun bloody mary was all i have had so far, but it was a meal in itself!!!
Good friends good food and best good entertainment
Always a fun time there, Great pub food and an incredible Bloody Mary on Sundays.
We went here on a suggestion by a friend. Our server,Hayden, was absolutely amazing. The food was great - fast, prompt, hot, good. We like the atmosphere- felt comfortable and welcoming. Lots of TVs as well with many different sports on.
We read some of the other reviews…and our thoughts are - this is a PUB..with pub drinks and food, not 5 star menus.
I asked for a white sangria and the bar made it..and it was perfect..the pub food was a 5 out of 5. Oh and the prices? Amazing.
I wish I had asked about the dollar bills on the ceiling…
We will definitely return for a bite to eat and some drinks.
Burgers are champ. My father in law and I went hiking for the day and we were looking for a good and chunky burger. Took a gamble on this place, looks sketchy outside but you know that sketchy places make the best food. The interior was very homely and classical bar environment. I had a classic burger with cheese and no condiments were needed. I gobbled it faster than a turkey would their feed. I can confidently say you will enjoy it here if you’re a burger enthusiast. Great beer as well.
Nice little spot. Good food. Large portions.. could charge more or give less food and still be happy.
Went to dinner with out of state family few nights ago, food was great our server I believe his name was Aiden was awesome! There were eight of us,our food didn't take long was nice and hot,my sister's were full of their appetizers couldn't even finish their dinner,we all took home leftovers, prices were pretty good, everybody was pleased, family said next time they visit we have to go here! They heard they make a great bloody Mary.🙂
It's a great place. We topped off a fun day in Adams with a late lunch there. Chris, our server was friendly and great. The food and portions were amazing. The kitchen staff prepared everything perfectly - great flavors and portions. My wife's fish sandwich was huge. And we had the best mozzarella sticks we have ever enjoyed.
Sadly due to supply issues, not all the menu is available at the time of writing this. My only complaint, which is minor, is that the building is not well marked. We were not sure we arrived at the right place.
Do be sure to ask about the dollars on the ceiling and don't mind the stormtrooper in the corner.
I grew up in Adams and I've seen this historic train station be several bars and restaurants. This is the absolute best it's ever been! Homemade food is amazing and comes out steaming! We haven't even left the restaurant and are already talking about coming back. So very happy Adams has AJ's!
Great place we discovered by accident!! Blown away and surprised by the quality of the food! Never would have guessed. It's about an hr and 20 min from our place, and we now just drive down for the food!
Great food, especially after an all day hike up mount Greylock. A little off the beaten path and not sp great signage. Inside has a really nice rustic feel. The wait staff were really nice.
By far the thickest and cheesiest burger I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The cheese bomb lives up to its name!
The nacho portion was enormous and had both the Velveeta type nacho cheese as well as shredded cheddar cheese. It included both sour cream and salsa in side cups and had salad greens sprinkled on top.
The onion rings were thickly battered and very hot and delicious.
The bar atmosphere is very friendly and has a welcoming and local vibe.
Definitely worth the stop.
The good food, cheap prices, and quick service were not the highlight of the evening at AJ’s Pub.
There was a creepy, middle-aged man, slightly overweight, wearing a black tee shirt a ball cap in the parking lot who got out of a black Infiniti sedan as we left, and for some unexplained reason, took video of us with his cell phone and wouldn’t stop. I pulled out of my parking spot to let my friend in the car And this man just kept filming us as though he is either not well or was trying to start a problem.
We jokingly asked him if he wanted our phone number as we drove away, and he kept just filming us.
It might be a benefit for the owner to address this problem if this person is a regular. He is not good for business.
The food was great. The ultimate bloody Mary was a meal in itself. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
Went in about 8:00 on a Monday night for dinner. It's not a huge place and I'd say it was about 37% filled. You know a good business but plenty of room to move about.
Really loved the atmosphere of the place from when I first walked in. Looks really nice and well done. Assign greeted me that said please wait to be seated so I did.
And waited and waited. There was a girl working the bar who saw me and just ignored me. Not a smile not I will be right with you not a nothing. In fact I don't think I saw her smile once the whole night but it's not like I was watching just observing the place.
I'm sure it wasn't that long but it was certainly long enough to where you stand around and start to question yourself what the heck.
Eventually a guy came out of the back with some food and looked over and said be right there. That's cool I certainly don't mind waiting after I've been acknowledged. If I had been worthly of an acknowledgment from lady I probably wouldn't have even mentioned the wait but she made it stick out in my mind.
He seeded me politely and asked for my drink order. Took off to get it giving me a chance to look over the menu.
There were quite a few things on this menu I really would have loved to try. However only in town for one meal so I had to choose and I had to choose wisely. I chose the Philly cheesesteak. I also wanted some clam chowder. My server asked me if I wanted a cup or a bowl I kind of waffled and went with a cup he looked at me shook his head and said no you want a bowl. I was convinced I got a bowl.
So I get my water and order. The wait wasn't terribly long and while waiting observed the restaurant a bit. The place definitely seems to have his regulars as a lot of people greeted to each other by name. Really nice friendly patrons all having a nice relaxed good evening. Great vibes in this place to me.
My soup came out fairly quickly and I am so glad I was steered to the bowl instead of a cup. Their clam chowder was some of the best I've ever had. Chocked full of big clams with an excellent chew.
Not long after I finished my soup my sandwich came out. I knew just from the look I had made the right call. Although I do prefer provolone over cheese whiz this was an amazing sandwich. The meat was cooked perfectly as were the onions and peppers. Just a slight tad of gristle but that's to be expected. The fries were good but just through my own personal fry preference they weren't a winner for me.
As I finished up my server came over with the check. He came back shortly with the box I asked for and my card and that.
I left a few minutes later to the same fanfare that had greeted me. I don't know maybe I'm just used to Southern restaurants where usually somebody always hollers at you.
I do know next time I have to drop off or pick up a load in Adams Mass that AJ's will be on my itinerary.
Cozy and friendly places, love it !!
Better than we expected (we're from our of town, so not really knowing what to expect). The best burgers we've had in a long time - tasted homemade.
A nice sports pub with some decent food and great waiters. I recommend the fish and chips and the seafood chowder!
First thing to mention is their phenomenal Bloody Mary's -A MUST AT LEAST ONCE! The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with upbeat staff. Food portions are unique and massive at beer wages! If you decide to tackle the Bloody Mary's, do yourself the favor and split one meal between 2 guests, unless you're a lover of leftovers by all means get your own plates. I'm so glad to have finally found my way to AJ's, yet slightly disappointed I've been missing out for this long! This is a perfect spot for all genres of going out; first date, 20th wedding anniversary, hanging with friends, going solo, date night with the kiddos. It pleases all!
*pictured below is the Bloody Mary and The "Homewrecker"*
Good old school American bar, friendly staff and owner. Bar flies a little odd but hey ho they have Sam on tap so I ain't complaining.
Very nice local place with good food and very pleasant personnel. Wings with garlic sauce were absolutely delicious, and our table enjoyed the baked haddock and steak tips, but worth a try! - everything at a more than affordable price. Totally recommend after a good hike in the mountains!
A great meal at the end of our bike ride. Food was generous and tasty. Will definitely be back.
