Review Fisher's Cafe - North Arlington

5 stars for sure! First time trying this Fisher’s Café and I absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. The ladies are very friendly & professional. In fact, I felt uncomfortable when 4 ladies treated the ladies very poorly, they argued that the services wasn’t great and did not wait for the order to arrive (rush hour), when in fact, I witnessed that the services was excellent.

The attention was the only thing I can say that I liked about this place..... to start I travel a lot and I eat in a lot of different places, this place was recommended by a family member that lives around the block. I went and as soon as I got through the door, an old musky smell of wet carpet and dirty seats hit me. I sat down to eat because I got gotten out of the hospital that same day, and the food was old and horribly cooked, I ordered an omelet, which is very easy to make. Then I ordered French toast with “berries” the French toast was at least 1 week old as well as the fruits..... I will never go back to that place.

0 STARS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID THIS PLACE AND DO NOT SUPPORT THE OWNER WHO IS DISHONEST AND LACKS ETHICS. Let's start... (HH location) We read really great reviews of this place close to where we were staying as guests from out of town, so we thought, let's go check it out! Can't go wrong for breakfast! We got really excited when we sat down at our table because the menu offered tons of options! We thought, if it's great, let's definitely come back tomorrow to try something different! Our waitress was a young server. In a short time, we saw that all the employees there are family and they were all sitting down to eat when we were the last customers before they closed for the day. We thought, wow that's nice to see! I explained to our waitress that my digestive system is intolerant to most types of dairy, provided examples of this, including butter, and asked her politely if she could check with the cooking staff if a couple options I was interested in to order, contain dairy, so she did. I ordered the Sombrero omelette. When it was brought to me, there was butter on the toast, melting onto other items on my plate. Of course I cannot eat butter, as I had explained to her before ordering. On top of the omelette, the "salsa" was pure fresh chopped tomato and onion. I explained to her politely without touching my meal that I'm intolerant to fresh onion. Also, there was no chilli on the omelette as was listed on the menu as the first topping. Having not touched the meal, I returned it to the waitress politely and ordered another item I could digest. The second item came with a black hair on it, that to note, I never complained about while I was there. Before leaving, the owner, a middle aged Latino man charged my partner's credit card prior to showing us the bill, which is unethical to begin with. We then noticed that we were charged for the first meal that I returned due to my food intolerances. I asked him about it and he told us that since we ordered it, we are charged for it. I explained to him the situation, since he was not present when I returned the meal to our waitress. He shrugged his shoulders and didn't seem to care. He told me that I should have "known" the salsa has onion in it. I explained to him once again that I cannot tolerate fresh onion, and onion was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. I also informed the owner that the toast was brought to me with butter on it, melting onto other items on my plate. Lastly, I informed him that there was no chilli brought to me with the omelette. He then asked the boyfriend of his young daughter working there about the chilli and he said to everyone with a straight face that he put chilli on the omelette. The owner then called me a liar. I was extremely upset at this point. I advised him that I've travelled to more than 35 countries and have never been treated this way at a restaurant. I walked out of the restaurant in tears. A great restaurant owner will never argue with a customer, but ensure that they leave satisfied with the food and customer service, let alone be extremely rude, negligent and label the customer as a liar. The owner is a complete a-hole. His interest is on behaving unethically to get the most money out of his customers. He was the worst role model to his family, as the oldest person in the restaurant, especially with 5 very young family members present, who he is financially supporting, something that is very apparent if you sit in his restaurant. The extra charge of $8.95 doesn't bother me because I see it as charity to someone who he is clearly so desperate for money and will do whatever he wants to get it. Good luck to you, the owner, because how you treat others will come right back to you. You are unsuccessful in your life and a terrible role model to your family. When you treat other human beings, especially your own customers in unethical ways, you should be stripped of your privilege to live in a country of opportunity. Don't forget, that you are an immigrant and it's a privilege to live here.

Everything me and my family have gotten here has been great. My daughter is super picky and she gobbles up the eggs, pancakes, chicken fingers, you name it. Friendly staff and a good amount of parking.
