I think the simplest thing to say is that people ACTUALLY ATE our wedding cake. The cake was delicious, it wasn't dry or overly heavy, the frosting was amazing and it was exactly how we ordered it. At the tasting they had a ton of choices, lots of great pictures for us to choose designs from and were able to help us pick out a cake that fit our needs. I highly recommend them not just because it was easy to do business with them, but because the quality of their cake and the presentation were delicious and beautiful!!
We recently opened a second location in New Branford, and frequently drive by. We’ve become big fans of the cupcakes, so I ordered a dozen for the holidays. They were a big hit! All the flavors are delicious, freshly made, with top quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

Finding the perfect baker for your wedding day can be overwhelming and nerve wracking. J Cakes blew my expectations of a wedding cake out of the water! These were some of the best cupcakes I have ever tried, let alone at a wedding! My guests kept asking “who made these cupcakes?” and “This is your wedding cake? It tastes amazing!” My (now) husband and I really enjoyed the cake tasting process. We felt like we got to design our own flavors with so many combinations to give our big day even more personalized touches. J Cakes is now my go-to bakery for future special occasions and the every so often “you deserve a cupcake” moments.
Had a cake made for a surprise 30th birthday and wow did JCakes knock it out of the park!! The cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious and probably one of the best cakes many of our guests had ever had! We did 1 tier chocolate mouse and 1 tier bride cake, and both were fantastic!! Absolutely worth the 40 minute drive for us!
We booked JCakes for our wedding and we were so happy with our experience! We did the cake shooters for our guests, a small cutting cake and they even made a dairy free cupcake for my wife. All of it was so delicious and we have already gone back for other occasions. They were very responsive and accommodating, and we’d highly recommend them!

I tried a small piece of each before I froze the remaining....very moist, great flavor and not too sweet.
I would hope that the woman who helped me maybe had a smile for the next person who came in.
JCakes is amazing!! The staff is very responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. From our cake tasting to our wedding day, JCakes did not disappoint! Their cakes are beautiful, creative, and cannot forget delicious. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!!!
JCakes did a breathtaking job with our wedding cake! Hands down the best looking and TASTING cake we have ever had. Seriously, anyone who is doing their tasting wedding cake does NOT have to be dry let them show you!! Our guests still rave about it!!!
