I was going to give 5 stars but we waited a long time at our table to even get a drink order in and the restaurant was not overly busy... I'm not exactly sure why we were walked past multiple times before someone called our server to our table but we did finally get service and she was a very nice server I just wish she visited our table a little more frequently... The food is delicious we opted for the BBQ style and had a great time it was perfect for my birthday celebration! I highly recommend the scallops and the pork jowl make sure you cook the jowl till it's crispy it's like bacon without all the salt! All the sides were delicious! The pickled vegetables were by far my favorite! I wanted more veggies and onions to cook with but apparently you can't request specific vegetables and you just get a little bowl of a random mix... The shrimp was not a hit with us you have to peel it yourself and it's tedious and some of them are not completely deveined. The scallops were fantastic I would of loved more options for sauce but I'm happy they came with a little seasoning on them. I wish I asked for some kind of garlic butter it would of been very good that way. You don't get a straw with your drink and I wish I would of asked for one. Overall tho this was really a great experience we will definitely come back here again we love all you can eat restaurants and we stayed for almost the full 2 hours! The happy birthday balloons on the mirrors was an adorable touch we had to take some photos as we left! I definitely recommend this place!

love it! I am a regular here for happy hour. The service is always amazing . Each time I have come here over the years, everyone I come in contact with is friendly and helpful. The food is made to order and always hot and tasty. The bar menu changes often but I love it. You can get sushi made to order . I don’t eat sushi but my friends always order it. There are spaces here that are great for large groups - lots of space. They have all of the traditional menu items you would expect in a Korean restaurant with authentic Korean flavors. P My favorite is beef Bulgogi on rice . A new dish is the beef Bulgogi on French fries. I had that for the first time last week and I loved it! Most entrées come with a variety of small dishes of kimchi, and other shareable tasters. Everything has been good. On one side of the restaurant, there are plenty of booths and tables to accommodate large crowds. On the opposite side, there is an area where you can cook your own meat. If I remember correctly, it is all you can eat at one setting. I have not been back there in a while. They have three karaoke rooms in the back. My friends and I have come here multiple times, and spent hours singing, drinking and having fun at our own little party they make it fun to spend time here. It is very kid friendly. I have seen plenty of families here. There’s an outdoor covered seating area. Bathrooms are clean . Dining areas are cleaned frequently. Restaurant is right off the main road or rivers and close to highways

This is the only Korean BBQ place in greater Charleston, to the best of my knowledge, and it's serviceable. We got the premium AYCE. The meats are good quality, and the sides are alright, but lacking in options. Our server was very friendly and funny. There are three things that would immediately improve the experience enough that it would make me significantly more eager to return. -Don't charge extra for rice and banchan. For $45 a person, these things should be included. -Come up with your own house sauce and have it in a squeeze bottle on the tables. The supermarket sweet chili sauce just isn't doing it for me. -More sides/apps. Maybe like some Korean fried chicken bites. Salad and dessert too, even if it's just a couple little ice cream mochis.

Great food. Our waiter was fantastic. Update I believe we got the same waiter. Just as awesome as before. We really enjoy this restaurant but like to save it for special occasions. It's.y wife's birthday today. Fantastic job everyone.

For a town with a lack of Korean BBQ options, this will fill that need without being anything extraordinary. The premium AYCE is worth it for the sides and additional meats you get, but the lack of typical banchan and rice is odd and unappreciated. There were three dishes at the table when we sat down: an asparagus kimchi, a jalapeño and garlic radish mixture, and pickled radish. They were yummy and refillable. Once we ordered the premium AYCE, our waiter automatically brought out one of each side so we could try everything, which we appreciated. The corn cheese was well-executed and exactly what you would expect. The japchae and gyoza were good. I didn't enjoy the spicy rice cake personally, but my husband did. For meats, I would highly recommend the NY strip steak. It was my favorite of the entire meal. The LA galbi, beef bulgogi, and ribeye were good. The scallops were fine - it was more of a user error, as I had never cooked a scallop before. However, our waiter was very helpful in giving me tips when I asked, and even offered to help cook it for me (I should have taken him up on that)! The veggies were good - of course, it's tough to mess up a raw vegetable when the diners are cooking it to their own liking! The veggie bowl came with three pieces of asparagus, to large pieces of sweet potato, a mushroom cap, and a piece of pineapple. I wish the pineapple were available on its own as a dessert - that would have been the perfect ending! I'm sure they would have been able to accommodate that, but I forgot to ask. I really wish there had been more options sauce-wise. There were only two offered at the table - a generic and mediocre sweet chili sauce, and sesame oil with salt and pepper. And again, it was very strange that there was not a larger selection of traditional sides, such as rice, kimchi, rice paper, etc. adding these few things to the table would have made a huge difference in our experience. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience, but not the best Korean BBQ I've had - however, given the location, it held its own.

Found us some good Korean food! Service was good but seemed short staffed for a Friday. However, worth any wait and time spent! I love Korean so maybe this is bias, but it was damn good and I’ll be back sooner than later.

Angela at 843 to the RESCUE!! We already loved this place and visited several times a month. The food is consistently high quality and authentic, but last week, they literally saved my friend's life!! The family (15 of us) had just finished another fantastic meal when my friend, who didn't realize she had a severe allergy, had an allergic reaction. We happened to have an epipen, but there was a malfunction. Thank heavens the restaurant manager had a spare on stock!!!! It kept my friend alive until the paramedics arrived... We normally bring a large group and everyone is pleased with the food. It's rare that a restaurant can please everyone in a large party, but 843 does it every time. Thank you so much 💓

Pictures were agter eating. Sorry! First of all, I'm Korean, so I'll give you the true scoop. The food here is pretty authentic, and we got the all-you-can-eat beef and everything included. The chef made me a dish that's not on the menu, which is really cool. For Charleston, it's a good place to go if you like all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ

The service was wonderful and the waitress could definitely handle a large amount of people. I order chicken because I am not into sushi. Please tell me if I am the only one who will go to a specialty restaurant and order a salad or chicken? My friends tried some of delicacies and where please. I do have a few pictures of the food plus my chicken. After we ate we rented a karaoke room. I must say it was definitely a small room for 9 people. The sound was not good and we kept having problems with the equipment.

Really good, not the best but really good. Not too much extra options for the BBQ and in my opinion over price compared with other better Korean BBQ I visited before.

We LOVED our experience! We had Dylan as our server! My biggest peeve about going to korean bbq/hotpot is having overbearing servers. Our server was so kind and walked us through what we needed but actually let us enjoy our time there without rush or feeling like im being babysat. It was delicious and she kept our glasses full the entire time. It was really slow when we went and she was so friendly amd kept a smile on her face Even with it being so painfully empty. We were never empty on meat either and she gave us plenty of time with each platter.

843 Korean provides excellent service! I called them for a catering request last minute for my work anniversary dinner. Not only were they able to provide my request they went totally above and beyond for my team! The food was excellent and the comments from my team were "this is the best anniversary dinner that I've ever had." I highly recommend 843 Korean for any of your catering/food needs!

The food was excellent! Served on a hot plate... BE CAREFUL!! The staff was very, very accommodating! They open at 4 pm, so we didn't have to wait for a table! Plenty of seating! The staff wore 😷 per Covid restrictions. I would definitely eat here again!
