Just had lunch here and we absolutely loved it. My hubby and I both built our own burgers. He had the Elk burger (they have a different wild game choice everyday, including a day for a gator burger!) and I just had a regular Angus beef burger. They were both delicious and the tater tots were crispy and fresh! Hubby tried the roasted garlic mayo and I had the bacon mayo and both were great. We also got a side of onion rings which were more like necklaces than rings! Haha! They were also great! The honey-horseradish dipping sauce was fantastic, as was their house made 5 spice ketchup! Our two year old son had the mini cheeseburger sliders and tater tots and in his words, "This is delicious!" Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back sooner rather than later!

We had a great experience from walking in the door. They had a great bartender, Mary was very friendly, fast drink service, even had a great local craft beer. My burger was awesome!!! Manager checked on us and talked with us awhile. Phenomenal food and service, highly recommend!
The best service and even better food, if that's possible. I read other reviews from those that didn't like it or had poor service and I'm here to say that is not the norm. Billy's Burger Joint has a very attentive staff, they are very friendly and the cooks, great job guys!! Loved the food gator burger was amazing! Such a friendly staff and great atmosphere! Taylor was our waitress she was great! Scott made out milkshakes and they were to die for! Trey and also the manager Aarron checked on us multiple times! I'll be back again for sure!

The food was AMAZING! Our waitress Becca was awesome! My boyfriend is funny sarcastic and Becca gave as good as he did. All the staff was very friendly. Fast service. The almond Joy milkshake is to die for! My daughter loved the tater tots and the kids cheeseburger.

Stopped in for lunch. Had a very tasty turkey burger with a la carte toppings. Server Ashley was very friendly and attentive. Wanted to try a milkshake but was too full. Manager/owner also came by the table to check if everything was ok.

I love the burgers here. Many different kinds and always cooked perfectly. Salads are also fresh with many different options. However the last two visits I had the same waitress and she could use some additional training. She is very nice but either messed up the order or the check. She will not stop me from going because the food is great

Been many times for a burger, always very good to excellent. Tonight preferred something lighter and healthier so opted for Country Farmer salad with salmon. Loved the fruit and nut additions, bright summer flavors as in mango, mandarin oranges and strawberries on a bed of spinach. Christina was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. She managed to get our children's orders out quickly..

Got the wild boar build your own burger with sweet potato fries. Overall the food and service was good. Burger tasted great. Toppings were nice and fresh. Fries came out cold though. A lot of good burger places to compete with in the area, so this isn't in my top 5. Definitely worth a try though! Want to come back for the eating challenge!
Had a good time thanks to Shelvy!. The burgers at Big Billy's are very good. My wife and I decided to try something new a week or so ago and settled on Big Billy's Burger Joint. I had been there once before with a group of co-workers, but my wife had never tried it. We each had a burger and some fries, along with some drinks from the bar (try the Charleston Sipper if you want something a little different). The burgers were excellent and so were the drinks. The fries were so-so. It tasted like maybe they had been cooked in the same oil as onion rings? Not sure.
Our server was Shelvy. She provided prompt service with a smile and made our trip even more pleasant.
While we try not to eat a lot of burgers, I definitely think we'll be eating at Big Billy's again!
Great Burgers !. Shelvy waited on us and took great care of us. The burgers were ordered Medium and the other Medium Rare and came out perfect. Coachz says great burgers and server ! Next time I'll try the lime corn on the cob !
Chasity was our server. She was highly attentive. Drinks stayed full and food came out quick. We got the black and bleu burger and the 3 gates special. Both were delicious. Both were cooked perfectly. Thanks for a great lunch.

There are a zillion reviews on here, so normally I wouldn't bother even writing one. However, our server Matty was fabulous at the bar, and he asked that we call him out on social media because he was new, so I'm doing a review, hoping he gets the props he deserves. The burgers were really good, I still would like a little more "kick mixed in with the beef but it was still good. Loved the homemade chips -need to make sure there're all good and done though. Loved the beer selection and Matty was very informative and helpful on many matters. Good experience.

AWESOME SERVICE!. The wife and I decided to stop in for a late lunch and met one of the nicest servers we have ever had the pleasure to meet. Corey was on his game for sure! He was knowledgeable of the Big Billy's menu and encouraged us to try new things we haven't had there before. Their garlic mayo is delicious to dip your fries in or on your burger. He kept our glasses full and even recommended we try one of the spiked shakes and was that a great choice. We left smiling, a full belly and appreciative of our server Coreys service.
Keep up the great job Corey, we will be back again sometime soon!

Great Burger Joint!!!. Stopped in today for lunch and to my surprise, it was outstanding!! The decor was basic beach town atmosphere...but the service was awesome!! My waitress was Shana.......and if you like 'eye candy' with fantastic 'ink' then run, don't walk to this joint!! My lunch almost ended up being dinner........if you catch my drift!!

However, I can put away their Smash Burger rather nicely. I love chili and cheese on a burger. And there's something about their chili that I love and can't quite put my finger on, it's making my mouth water just typing about it. The potato chips are what give it it's signature name. And the deep fried dill pickle chips are great. I've been to this place three times now. The food is excellent and so is the service.

Suprisingly good!. With so many lame places downtown that have the "best" burger...I was suprised to have a good meal w/ good service at the Tanger Outlet entrance.
First visit, so I just had a basic Bacon Cheeseburger w/ side of 'hand-cut' fries. It was good. It was cooked correctly. And the meal was of decent size....but would have liked more fries.
Dig the menu...especially the different game meat for burger choices. Lots to choose from. My son had a hot dog. And the wife had a grilled chicken wrap. No complaints and everyone liked their meals.
Our server was attentive, helpful, and personable... Professional all around. In addition to the large menu for a burger joint...They have a decent beer selection, booze drinks, and milkshakes.

I recently came to big billys after hearing a lot of good things about the food and I had a great experience. I am addicted to chicken wings and they had one of the best BBQ chicken wings that I've had. I had a great experience, my servers name was Keith and was great. Very polite and very outgoing. I definitely plan on visiting again real soon!!

Vegetarian and Shakes. I love the black bean burger...it is really spicy and worth the wait and I can get anything I want on it! My husband always opts for some really meaty burger with an egg or some other crap on it, but he really enjoys it. The shakes are creative and always amazing...plus you can add a bit of alcohol to any shake! PLUS-I am SO tired of reading about reviews on service or servers---you idiots---servers change day to day so why not talk about the food instead of piddling crap like how the staff didn't refill your drinks!!!
New Favorite in North Charleston. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! My husband and I have been looking for a new place in North Charleston to relax and have some great food before concert or "Low Country Jazz Festival" and we did. Yumm! I had a turkey Reuben with Fries. My husband had "A Salmon, Bacon, Fried Green Tomatoe sandwich with sweet Potatoe fries" Delish! What exceeded our expectations was RYAN! our server, He met us at the door with a big smile. RYAN knew the menu, excellent suggestions, and always one step of our needs. Our meal was only 2 days ago but I am already ready to head back to try something else on their wide variety on the menu. Hmmm and without doubt RYAN to be our server again. Thanks to Big Billy's Burger Joint for taking us to the island of great food and excellent, attentive service.

Just ate here with my dad. The food was amazing, the service great, and the decor created a lovely atmosphere. My dad got just a plain burger with bacon (no sauce, no veggies) and I created a salad. Both orders came out without a problem, which is surprisingly rare for my dads order. The waiter was super attentive and refilled the drinks without being asked. The decor created an atmosphere of a burger shack on a beach. I will certainly be back.
STUFFED & SMILIN!'. We ate at Billy's Burger Joint for the first time tonight and it was absolutely delicious! The burgers were HUGE, far more than you'd ever be able to eat and I had a hard time gettin' my mouth around mine. My Husband, children (4 & 6) and myself LOVED it! It's a little busy, but the staff is great, especially our server tonight, MALLORY! :) :) :)

My girl and I recently moved to the north Charleston area and this was our second time eating here...overall I was satisfied with our meal but when spending sit down restaurant money the service needs to be better than fast food service.... Now , my lady ordered the rueben with tots...I ordered the basic billy mid rare with tots and we shared the fried green tomato appetizer...one draft porter and some sort of island drink.
15 minute wait on the appetizer. Could use a little work..no big deal..her island drink had a shards of glass stuck to the side... Our entrees came out in decent time...but one of our plates came out with fries instead of tots..when my lady mentioned the error to the server he nonchalantly switched our two baskets...I tell him, I ordered tots also...he had a head scratch moment...I'm starving and tell him just leave it...
All in all the food is ok.. but dinner at a burger joint for two @ $45 bucks should come with better service

Great Burger Place!. Great burgers, an attentive staff, and a welcoming atmosphere make this one of my favorite spots in North Charleston!
Went there on 01/04/13 for dinner with 3 friends. Ordered two appetizers (baked pimento cheese dip and honey Bleu cheese sweet potato fries) both tasted good but the sweet potato fries were a very small portion. Everyone ordered burgers and they were excellent. Our server Ryan was very attentive. Only real complaint was the draft prices. Being in North Charleston you don't expect to pay $3.50 for a 16oz Bud Light draft that is missing 2 oz of beer.
Linda. AMAZING onion rings. The old fashioned , hand dipped, in buttermilk batter , thick crust kind. I go there for the onion rings, but love the variety of the sandwiches/burgers too. Best onion rings in Charleston area !

If you haven't eaten here, STOP everything and go immediately! Jalapeno pimento cheese appetizer, breakfast burger, daily burger specials, and my personal favorite the mahi tacos are INCREDIBLE!! You will thank me later, this place is a can't miss in north charleston

Lunch review. Hubby and I visited Billy's for lunch last week. ( March.16TH) We really enjoy the food there. Anyway, our waitress, Cici was very personable and attentive. We have had her and Tyler and Billy's is lucky to have them both. Always a pleasure.
We got the special which was a salmon wrap and it was wonderful and tasty.We were told that they are trying to include more seafood dishes as customers are asking for it. Kudos to Billy's for lisitening to their cliental. Great atmosphere inside, food is excellent and service is over and above. Love this place! Best fried pickles we've had anywhere!

Great Food and Service. Went to Big Billy's for the first time for Happy Hour. Thursdays are 1/2 price build your own burgers and my husband thought it was one of the best he's had. Their hot buffalo wings are just about perfect, fried nice and crisp and very tangy. My husband finished his meal with the Almond Joy milk shakes and he was a very happy camper! Our waitress was very attentive and we never lacked for anything. We will most definitly go back again.
Excellent! The burgers are the BEST I have eaten, and I am a serious burger snob! :) My husband also commented several times before his burger was gone, how great it was. This place apparently is the ONLY place with real organic beef. The menu has a lot to offer too. I will have to try the fish tacos next, that's the other thing I am a snob about. :) We will be back again and again. It's worth a visit for sure.
Burger Lover. I have dined at Big Billy's since they opened. I have never had a bad meal to date. I love the lunch specials for $8, which it appears to be a favorite for Boeing emp. I think they have the greatest milkshakes in the world! What a selection! Since they grined their meat fresh daily makes all the difference in the world, like a homemade patty, not frozen soybean. I love the atmosphere. Feel like I am in the islands. I also loved the way they welcomed Jimmy Buffet! What a great job! I cannot give any bad reviews on this place. I usually go before it gets too busy, around 11:00-11:30. Servers are "johnny on the spot", the GMS are constantly checking on customers to be sure food is right and are having an enjoyable meal.

Was trying to find a local place for a burger, and this is it. Everyone was great from the time I walked in until I left. Sat at the bar, and the bartender was great. The hamburger was about the best I've had in Charleston. Thank you for the great service. I will be back!

We went on a Friday afternoon between lunch and dinner so it wasn't too busy. Our food arrived quickly and hot. Too much to eat in one sitting so half of it came home for brunch the next day... Reheated well! Milkshakes were good. We will be going back!!

The food was really good here! It was our first time in town, and this place stood out as I wanted a sandwich. I ordered the salmon sandwich with fried pickles. It was sooo good! My son got the classic cheeseburger but with their meat of the day, so it had a wild boar patty. It was very flavorful and juicy he loved it! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something different yet delicious!
Every burger is so good. You can also build your own or add just about anything to any burger on the menu. Waiters and waitresses are always excellent. They provide great service and seem to enjoy their job which is a good thing. The setting is nice and there are plenty of TV if you are trying to watch something. Went on my birthday, they don't sing, that's a great thing but they do provide a birthday shake!!! Also a great thing. If you haven't been I strongly recommend you do
I was greeted warmly. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Staff checked on my table often which was nice. Food was delicious..had the salmon burger with extra tomatoes instead of bacon. Overall very happy with the food. Tasted great, good portions, and reasonable for what you get. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we got our drinks quickly and was attentive to us. Only negative was that the wait for the food was a bit long and there was a mistake with our order that took a long time to resolve. Highly recommend this place just maybe when they are better staffed
Great little burger joint. They have a good selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, sides and other items. They also have a good selection of kids menu items. Make sure to try their house ketchup (that’s what I’m calling it). The food was fresh and service was great!
Stopped in for overnight in Charleston and wanted a burger and fries so I walked over here from my hotel and boy was I impressed when I got back to my room. I built my own burger with smoked Gouda and caramelized onions and I loved it. The patty was seasoned well and so were the fries. I also ordered a beef hotdog and tater tots which I enjoyed both. I can't wait until my next trip so I can try the other meats they have to offer. I would recommend you give Big Billy's a try.
From the moment you're greeted until you walk out the door you feel like they are truly happy you are there. The burgers are not overboard but made well of fresh, yummy ingredients and dressed well. Sweet potato fries are great, the hamburger was cooked to perfection and the cheese melted beautiful so it had a beautiful pull. Brandy was a great server and kept the drinks filled, even brought some in to-go cups when I was ready to leave without having to ask. I will definitely be back when I'm looking for a great burger that doesn't leave me feeling weighed down! They even have wild game options if you want something a little different. I will be back again!

We went Nov 2021. Really cool vibes of a place, love the decor everywhere, always something interesting to look at. Our group of 5 all really enjoyed their meals and drinks. The waitress was super personable and funny, gave great advice of which items to order and her favorites. Fries were super good as was the fried pickles. Devoured them! They even had a neat little “take a book, leave a book” corner. Great burgers and sandwiches!

Nice relaxed casual local. The prices can't be beat. We were starving after an afternoon checking out the Tanger Outlets and husband had been wanting to try this spot. Our order: fried pickles, standard cheeseburger with fries, Hawaiian cheese burger with coleslaw and fries, kids cheeseburger sliders with chips. I ordered my burger medium-well - having been burned by sloppy burgers too many times, I erred on the side of caution. I should not have been afraid - a medium burger, ordered by my husband had a perfect pink center. The sauce that came with the fried pickles was amazing, and I also enjoyed the roasted garlic mayo. We really loved the reading nook set up for children - this is a great touch and something that would definitely make us choose Big Billy's over other restaurants when we are in the area.
Overall great experience. The ONLY minus was that they were unable to make milkshakes, but that happens and it didn't detract from the excelled food and service we received. We will definitely be back!
I can't say enough good things about this place. From the beginning to end, it was great. The hostess was super friendly. Service was fast and good! And oh my gosh this might be the best burger in Charleston. The biggest thing was how hot and fresh it was!! I love how you can get different types of meat. I'll have to try that next time. I wanted to share Big Billy's hand because it was so good!!
