My husband and I visited Amici’s on a Friday evening. We had to park next door because the parking lot was full. We arrived 20 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation and although it was very busy we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers arrived quickly and was delicious. The owner Jennifer came around to check on us while we were waiting for our main course. That’s something you don’t get at a chain restaurant. My husband got the lasagna that he almost couldn’t finish which is rare. I got the spaghetti pescatori. The mussels were fresh and the shrimp were huge. Even though my meal was seafood it did not smell or taste “seafoody”. Everything was very fresh and tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so are waitress gave us 2 lemon drop shots and a piece of carrot cake to share on the house! She also put a card with the bill wishing us a happy anniversary! Jennifer the owner came around for the second time to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and she also wished us a happy anniversary. This place is a hidden gem of North Charleston! My entire experience here was 5 stars! Thank you Amici’s for making our anniversary so special!
I've been so excited to try this place since we've moved to Charleston and it was worth it! This is the closest to true Italian food like "mama used to make," reminds me of the pizza/Italian restaurants of my childhood in NY.
I had the eggplant rollatini, which was awesome! My husband made his own pasta dish and was somewhat disappointed in the Bolognese sauce, no cream in the sauce and it was missing that "umami" flavor (ITKYK).
Nonetheless, we will make it a point to go back as it truly satisfies that real old school Italian that can't really be found elsewhere in Charleston.
I want to start off by saying, that the atmosphere by no means was bad, just don't expect the big chain restaurant ambiance. Both meals that we ordered. We're very tasty and we would get again. The restaurant wasn't extremely busy, only five other tables had guests at them, considering we got there not long after they opened. As we were leaving numerous other guests were entering so it was going to get busier. The service was very good! We plan to return.
Still our favorite Italian place! The owner, Jennifer, makes the most incredibly delicious soups!
My favorites on the menu:
APPETIZERS: Meatball Sliders (great flavor -- simple but so very tasty); Bruschetta; Caprese Salad; & Calamari Fritti (always perfectly cooked crispy on the outside & tender on the inside)
ENTRÉES: Sausage & Pepper Penne; Chicken Ciara; Lasagna
SOUPS: Doesn't matter what it is -- they're all excellent!
DESSERT: Nutella Ravioli
Great staff & ambience; reasonable prices, too. One last thing: the sign on the door says they're open until 9:00PM, but do get there by 8:00PM as we've watched them turn people away (a few times now) if they arrive after 8PM. So just get there by 8 -- totally worth it!
Service was great and the music was perfect for the holiday season. Met the owner and she was well liked by ALL the guests. Lexi was our server. Very sweet. Pasta is homemade and delicious Will be back again.
We ordered a pan of Tiramisu for Thanksgiving. This was the 2nd time we have ordered for a holiday and it was perfectly delicious again!! We have had dinner here on several occasions. Never disappointed! Staff is friendly and food is fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing as always! One of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. Lexi was superb! The live singing is a nice touch. We'll for sure continue coming back.

From the beautiful music 🎶 (Italian lyrics on many) to the couples from NY and NJ at the next table over (I love the accents) … you know you are getting the best of Italian food in Charleston. 🇮🇹 The wine was delicious, bread was fresh and hot with EVOO and balsamic on each table, and the wait staff were so attentive (no desire goes unfulfilled). Head here for pasta, fresh and homemade (or as close as a restaurant can get) soup, and ambience. Send up a toast 🍷 and prayer for safe travels ✈️ for me while you are at it!
This place is a real find if you like good Italian food, and a pleasant atmosphere.
We had alot of people in our party and all were given prompt service. The waitresses were really helpful and efficient.
The food was hot and very good!
Cute Italian restaurant. I had the build your own dinner with fettuccine in a red meat sauce and sausage. My wife's build your own dinner was pepperdeli pasta and meatballs in a vodka sauce. Both dinners were excellent as was the service.
Food was excellent. If you love good Italian food and atmosphere, you will love this place. The live music was excellent and made the experience so much better. Service was the best! We will definitely be back again and again.
Love this place. The food is really good and the service is good. One of the best manicotties I've ever had.
Wonderful atmosphere, our Host Mario was so full of life and nice. We met the Owner Jennifer who was so kind and genuine. We had a good dinner, portions a bit small. Highly recommend a lemoncello after dinner, simply amazing!!!
