Best lunch spot in the area. Cash only, just be prepared and that's easy. Burritos are HUGE for $10, tacos are $2 a piece. Everything has a fresh taste. They have updated A LOT of the place. Yesterday they have new menus. The girl at the front is always nice to us. This isn't taco boy or taco bell. Do not expect ground beef hard tacos, try some stuff you have never had! Just point at something!
Overall it was a good experience. The guy at the front counter taking the money needs to learn how to deal with customers. The server was great taking my order quick and bringing drinks and food out to me. The place is a little hidden it says really small place with the little bit of sitting area. The food was delicious no complaints there. I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the guy at the front counter

Very authentic Mexican food. Small but cozy dining room with 5? Booths big enough for 4 people each. For me, when I see Mexican people eating there and very little English then that's the place for me.
I have tried 3 other mexican themed restaurants here in Charleston and those didn't impress me. Las Lupitas does impress me. The only thing that keeps me from eating here everyday is not wanting to get a Troll status.

Authentic and delicious, not much parking or seating but would be worth the wait. Horchata was the best I’ve ever had, and cabeza tacos were perfect.

But the food was phenomenal! My tacos came with this spicy yellow sauce that was absolutely amazing. Restaurant has huge menu of items that I really want to try but so far these three were good. They also gave me like half a gallon of Horchata.
Now go do yourself a favor. Go to an ATM. Pull out some cash. IT IS WORTH IT.

Outstanding place. I absolutely love the burritos here. For eight dollars the burrito honestly weighs about a pound. This place does awesome Mexican food. This place is cash only . Always friendly and quick service. Definitely recommend this spot.
Location is small but the food is amazing. I recommend for anyone that loves Mexican food.

Truly authentic tasting Mexican food. Not Tex-mex, not Americanized style with fake cheese and fake ingredients. It is very helpful if you speak spanish, they don't seem to speak a lot of english, but they are very friendly and the food is fantastic. The Tres Leches dessert is now one of my favorites. I think this is the best Mexican food I have had, outside of Mexico. More of a central Mexico flavor. I highly recommend it.
