The food was awesome, the service was quick. I was very pleased and will definately be back. I will recommend this place to all my friends.
Without question the best Mexican food in South County. Service is great. Food is great. The overwhelmingly positive reviews here should speak for themselves period.
So far I've gone twice with my wife. Food and service have been great. My wife likes margaritas and says this place has had the best she's had in the area.

Food as good as any other, but worth the trip just to hear lovely Mexican music in the background.
Had a great experience tonight. Went for my 21st birthday. Really enjoyed the chips and salsa, had delicious chicken fajitas, and a strawberry daiquiri! Drink was strong, but good. I told the waiter that it was my birthday and he brought me over fried ice cream free of charge! Definitely will be returning.
Excellent food, friendly staff, family place, even sang happy birthday to my daughter!!!!
We loved El Tapatio! Wonderful food, service and Cadillac Margaritas! Planning on many visits to come.

My mother and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food and this was authentic and delicious! Chips were warm and the food came out fast and piping hot. I didn’t take a photo of my burrito and cheese enchilada because I dove right in. We saved room for flan and churros. Will definitely be back!

Simple menu with just the right number of options. Great margarita and tequila selection (Try the Mezcalita). Complimentary chips and salsa for the table.
Service was friendly and super quick. Food was awesome. Prices reasonable. Everyone in our party enjoyed it and will return when in the area.

The service was fast. The staff was on point. The food was great. And the prices where outstanding.
Great little Mexican spot, especially because it's the only of its kind in the area. The service was great last night. Immediately greeted and sat and had chips and salsa on the table within a minute. That's tough to beat. The food was good, but I do recall it being better last time I was there. Overall, if you're craving Mexican food, give this spot a chance. Very unlikely you'll be disappointed.
The only downside was that the shrimp still had their tails on. It would've been much easier and neater if they were removed prior to the meal being delivered.
Authentic, family owned Mexican restaurant, in a family friendly environment. Separate bar with booth seating apart from the rest of the restaurant making it the best of both worlds if you're flying solo, couples, or with a big group, there's room for you. Food is good, drinks and service are excellent, and ambiance is nice. Outdoor seating available when it's warm.

I usually have a late lunch or early dinner here about once a week or so.
The food is top quality and prepared with attention to detail. Always made and prepared with fresh quality ingredients and served piping hot (and I do mean hotspot, so don’t touch the plate for at least a couple of minutes);
The business is wheelchair accessible, there are two handicap spots, one of which is van /wheelchair accessible depending on which side the extra space is on.
As long as I have been coming here, they have the same wait staff - always a good sign and if your a regular, they’ll usually have your drink ready for you before you can even get to your table.
Highly recommend this restaurant, excellent quality and warm, friendly and sincerely welcoming staff.
The Building Gorgeous upon entering the decorations are fascinating you feel like your in a tiny villa. First they bring you the tortillas with salsa then the drinks you order waiter was very polite and attentive to our needs. Me and my sis ordered the plate that has sample of everything it was delicious and enough for 2 look at the pics how scrumptious it all looks. 5 stars from. Me they deserve every star*****
Went to Rhode Island for a couple of days and a friend recommended this place... I was so glad I went,, the food was awesome, felt like homemade Mexican food, great margaritas & our waiter was great too. The place looks very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend!!!
The portion sizes are huge and definitely deserve to be shared. All of the flavors were spot on and the service was quick and responsive. This is definitely a keeper on the rotation of good Tex-Mex food for the future.
Fabulous atmosphere and wonderful staff. This was our first time coming here and truly impressed. The food was so fresh and very tasty. We can't wait to go back and the next time bring some friends to enjoy this wonderful restaurant.
We eat at El Tapatio in Wickford frequently, and the whole experience has always been great. Great food, drinks, and service. Recently I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which I had not ordered previously, and was amazed at how great it was. Not since eating conch salad in the Bahamas have I tasted anything that deliciius.
Love that this restaurant is in this location and provides a bit of variety..the food and drinks are expensively priced but do taste good. My go to are the fajitas and portion of meat is good on them.
I frequent this establishment a lot and I am honestly surprised I haven't left a review yet. The consistency and taste of their food is unmatched. You will never find refried beans that taste this unbelievable anywhere else. I absolutely love it here.
Food was great, service was fabulous! It took us longer to decide what to eat than it took to come out of the kitchen!! We had chips and salsa as soon as we were seated, and the food was so good!! It reminded us of a Mexican restaurant that we used to go to when we were dating in CT, the food brought back great memories! We were so filled with the portion sizes. Highly recommend!!
