Review Little Richard's Family Diner - North Pole

Stopped by for brunch today with family. I ordered the Traditional French Toast (topped with fresh fruit and a side of maple syrup) and an iced mocha. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

Great diner food! If you love coffee, they have the mug for you. Milk shakes too! Always a great atmosphere. Courteous and friendly staff.

Had a wonderful time there. Great food back to basics environment. A throw back of lost years. Food was spot on. Didn't have a long wait for our food. Actually we got our food before I finished my coffee. Will be returning.

This was our favorite place to eat on our trip to Alaska in January 2021. The portions were huge, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the club sandwich and buffalo chips! They whip up some great shakes as well. Had a great time chatting with the owner during our meal! I will definately be back the next time I visit the Alaskan interior!!

Can whip up a gigantic, delicious, and fluffy short stack o' pancakes real good with yo' hot up o' Hot Cocoa. One of my most favorite places to go to in Fairbanks! Would definitely recommend! (Warning: If you can't eat a lot don't get confused, Pancakes are huge so definitely get just the Pancake.)

One of the best breakfast places in the state. Large portions and great staff. Sitting at the counter and taking with the staff, will brighten anyone’s morning.

Best place to eat in the Fairbanks area. Staff sees me getting out of my truck and already have my food ready by the time I sit down. Very friendly family run Resturant. Food is great!! I recommend going there if you like friendly folks.

We’ve been wanting to stop by and finally got around to it. My breakfast was pretty good. My husband got the biscuits & gravy because a lot of people on Facebook said they were the best in Fairbanks/North Pole, but he said it was so-so. Biscuit was underdone. We’ll try again. We only live 10 minutes away & have been here almost 49 years, but it just wasn’t a place we often thought about. Another thing-I froze! Had to eat with my coat on. Service was very good-fast & friendly. Miss Harley Diner’s French fries!

Best place for breakfast! When family comes to visit, Little Richards is a must! We have never had a bad experience, prices are good and food is amazing.

You just can't go wrong here. (Unless its Tues or Weds and the place is deserted) I highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan on any other day. It comes loaded with lots of delicious, fat garlic bread and a pile o sketti. Don't worry if you can't eat it all, its one of the best re-heats I know) Tell em Angie told ya so.

Well the place just keeps getting better great place to grab some food everything has been great but favorite is Alaskan skillet Wife's Love's the cheese burger

We are new to area & live right down the road from this little diner! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hush puppies were the top 3 best I've ever had, and I'm from the Midwest. All the food we had was amazing and not greasy, which is extremely refreshing. Would recommend to anyone who loves good food!

Love the wonderful service first and foremost! Best and biggest banana split you'll ever see, the kid's meal selection is great and reasonably priced, and the pancakes are MASSIVE. Even when the place is packed, the food arrives quickly and is consistently terrific!

We used to go to this wonderful diner when we lived in Alaska. We have been gone awhile, but great people and great food you never forget!!

Just... WOW!<br/>Jumbo buffalo burger (to share) with curly fries. A side order of mozzarella sticks. And "dessert" was a side order of biscuits and gravy because the guy at the next table had it and it looked amazing...AND IT WAS! Big fluffy biscuit smothered in the best sausage gravy.<br/>Had to try this place out because of the great reviews and the fact they had buffalo burgers, which are one of our favorite treats we don't get very often.<br/>We love this place. It's got a great feel, the server was attentive but not annoying, and the food was out of this world!<br/>I wish we'd eaten here BEFORE the last couple days of our stay in Fairbanks. This will be a definite MUST for our next trip! YUMMMM!!!!<br/>Oh, and great coffee served in a HUGE mug so you never run out!

My favorite stop when up that way :-). Whenever I'm up in the Fairbanks area, Little Richards is where I like to go. Can always count on the food being very good as well as the service, not to mention the entertainment!

Santa told us it was a good place to eat. Well I asked Santa for a good mom and pop place in town to eat, He told us this was a good choice, and you can trust Santa. We had the Fried chicken, Philly, crispy chicken salad and pork chop dinner. Everyone was delighted with the food and service. Gals were scurrying everywhere to make sure customers were happy. Very busy even as late as we went and I can see why. Portions were huge, we could not eat all we were served.

Favorite Sunday Lunch spot. My first trip to Little Richards was with a car load full of starving teenage boys. The service was awesome, the food was plentiful, fast, hot and very well prepared. I like to go here on Sunday for a simple grilled cheese with fries. Every single time I go, I receive terrific service. Fast, friendly, reasonable priced and the sandwich is always perfect and best of all,.... the fries are HOT and perfectly cooked. 30 seconds from fryer to your plate sitting in front of you. Fantastic. Every time I take someone with me, they are favorably impressed and vow to come back again soon.

This is too good for Chuck Norris. Wow, the Buffalo Burger from Little Richy's is good. Amazing. very very good. Too good perhaps, for even Chuck. lol. Get it, their food is great, and not expensive as most places. 5 stars.

Excellent Food!!!. Found Little Richards late in my visit to the area. Wish I had found it sooner. The breakfast menu is awesome! Excellent diner fare. If you are hungry and seek good food, go to Little Richards Family Diner! Generous portions and pancakes as big as a frisbee! Fantastic service, staff that genuinely desires to make your visit memorable, and they did! My associates and I returned multiple times and we're very pleased every time

This place was great! My husband also loved it. The meal was huge and filled us up very quick. It looks a little sketchy but it's amazing! Great service and great food. Overall amazing experience.

Good Food. Was out riding my motorbike and decided to stop by and see if the food was good. Outstanding service, Fast, Friendly and relaxed wait staff. The Cook did an awesome job on the steak, and was very fast too. The price was OK, more than i expected at a Diner, but after having the steak i was more than happy with the price, after all a great steak is a great steak no matter if it is cooked at the silver Gulch or at a diner.

Stuffed with good food!. We wanted to have a nice dinner out tonight and remembered this little diner in North Pole! The food was great! I had the chicken strips with fries and the honey mustard sauce was the best!! My hubby had chicken fried steak and said it was superb!! Thanks for great food and great service!

Lots of great food-affordable. Do you like pancakes? Ever had a plate-sized one or a kids meal with normal sized pancakes? When I had breakfast at 9 I wasn't hungry again until 3. Soda floats can be any flavor. Fresh cheesecake, amazing shakes. Buffalo and reindeer sausage in a breakfast. Buffalo burgers went well with any of the fries-regular, curly, buffalo chips. The cottage cheese was also worth as a side. Service was superb and friendly. The wall signs are also amusing.

Great food and service!!. This restaurant has never failed to impress with both the quality of service and the food. They are very friendly, the food is great, and the portions are more than you will probably be able to eat in one sitting! Worth the drive if you are out in Fairbanks, and definitely need to check it out if you are going to visit North Pole!

Great food, Wonderful Family. I was part of an Incident Management Team assigned to a fire near North Pole. Arrangements were made with Little Richards Family Diner and several other restaurants in the area to feed members of the team. And am I glad I went to Little Richards. Breakfast was probably the best I've ever had. Large portions, great coffee and Ed and Ann Richards and their family were simply wonderful people. If you go, sit at the counter and enjoy some great conversation with Ed, Ann and the kids!

The food is absolutely worth the drive! The portions are large and always fresh. The staff is always motivated and cheerful. The lady (Terryn I do believe) was able to remember what pop me and my hubby order and that his appetizer is cheese sticks and mine is the buffalo chili even after the first visit and even after months of being away. We've only been there 4 maybe 5 times total so that really says something. We love going there and you won't be disappointed!

I lived in North Pole for about three years. This diner has become and will always be my home. Taylor, Terryn, Ann, Ed, and Dekon bring you back in time with the retro look, old jukebox, and great family TLC. I have had everything on the menu and it is worth every penny. Bring a huge belly, because even the kids meals are a lot of food. <br/><br/>You come to little Richards for a meal, but you get so much more. Thanks for everything! See you later fam!

Soo great! Travelled 4500 miles from PA to Alaska and met the owners who are folks from the same general area in PA! Great little metal diner with a rt 66 theme. The staff is friendly and the food is prime! You'll be hard pressed to finish your breakfast! Try the buffalo sausage it's great! Been here a week and eaten here three or four times! Thanks y'all!

Best place in Alaska for food ! Family owned restaurant , fast , amazing food. They remember who you are and what you like, if ur visiting or a local, u need to stop in and get some awesome service, my fav is the Reuben on sourdough wt the curly fries ! Open 8-8 closed Tuesdays , 2 great cooks and 3 amazing servers !

YUUUUUM!!!. I met the owners and they invited me down. They were not there when my girlfriend and I showed up. The lady that was our server was fast, friendly, and a pleasure to have wait on us. I had some amazing shrimp, very genorus portion, and these this sliced potato chips called "buffalo fries" they were spicy and amazing! <br/><br/>Now let me say Amanda and I go everywhere and when we see traditional "county fair" food on the menu we always have to try it. Its never as good as it is at the fair, i mean weve had some pretty good cheese curds at one place in fairbanks, but just not the same as in the fair ground. Well im very very very happy to say that Little Richards Family Diner has the best CORN FRITTERS we have ever had, the honey butter was outstanding, and the firtter itself even better! If you just go for that your trip will be more than worth it! Ive already told everyone I work with.....treat yourself, you wont regret it!

Great Food & best coffee ever. Visiting a friend in Fairbanks he took me to Little Richards. Ordered a cup of coffee and the meat lovers omelet. The food was great, but that coffee was the best I've ever had. The service was real good too.

Great food/Great beliefs. Great food!! I had a wonderful buffalo burger. The restaurant is owned and operated by Christians who are supporters of Israel. Look for the American and Israeli flags on the corner. The diner is well worth a visit.

Little Richards is the Best Hidden Secret that everyone should know about. <br/><br/>The food is exceptional. You will not leave hungary from any meal whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. <br/><br/>The owner and staff are the friendliest you will ever have serving you. They make any out of towner comfortable and welcome. <br/><br/>The Diner has welcoming atmosphere and great signs. I recommend you stop by for breakfast or even a chocolate shake. <br/><br/>I have eaten at many great little restaurants in the lower 48 while riding my motorcycle. The North Pole's Secret Hot Spot. Little Richard's is a great place to eat and get to know the locals in the area. The atmosphere almost gives the food a run for its' money. I have been there more times than I wish to share, but everytime the food and conversation has been great. <br/><br/>For an out of towner, the staff makes me feel right at home in the North Pole. They go out their way to make your experience a memorable one. <br/><br/>Stop in, get a cup of coffee and let them serve you a meal you will not forget. I recommend the breakfast, but be hungry! <br/><br/>If you don't make it for breakfast, stop in during the day and get a Patty Melt! Great place.. We stopped there on our visit to Alaska. What a nice surprise! The employees were so nice, the food was very good ,and we had to take some with us because they gave us so much we couldn!t eat it all. I love starting my day here, the breakfest are very good, the cooks are very nice even though they are always busy they never ignore you if you try to talk to them. the servers are wonderful and are very good at making sure your happy with what you are getting. this is a must go to place all around!!

Best breakfast in town. I love the breakfast here I get the meat lovers omlette. The staff is fast and friendly kinda like family. They are professional but if you joke with them they will joke right back. it is one of the best breakfast places i have found in the fairbanks area

Awesome!!. We normally go for a late lunch/early dinner and we love it! We tried breakfast one day and we weren't very impressed with it. My husband LOVES the buffalo burger and my favorite is the BLT. We have a 17 month old son who often tries to make a mess and they are so understanding and friendly! Highly recommend it!

I eat out frequently at many places in Fairbanks and North Pole, Anchorage also. Remote locations, the Slope, etc. Compared to those places, the meals and portions at Little Richards are fantastic. They aren't cheap, but not expensive either. If you want cheap go you know where, and suffer the consequences. The owners and staff put a lot of hard work into making their customers happy. They are friendly, courteous, fast, and can carry a good conversation with interesting opinions.<br/>I've eaten there many times in the last 2 years, was always pleased, and it is my favorite place to eat in all of Alaska. When I have visitors, I always take them Little Richards Diner and invariably they rave about it later.<br/>Great burgers including buffalo, 3 kinds of fries, malts and shakes, chicken fried steak, all the great salads and sandwiches, and the best gravy by far.<br/>I love going there. My highest recommendation.

Totsie Pursey. Best place ever! Ann and Ed used to live in Delta - and we miss them and their great food. So, we travel to North Pole to enjoy their company. They are so friendly and welcoming. Best breakfast anywhere in Alaska - and beyond! God Bless them and the work they do for Him.

My mom came for the first time yesterday and went on and on about how awesome it was, so I figured I'd drop in and check it out - and it is AMAZING! All of it was great, but the corn fritters were out of this world and u can feed four people on one, yes I said ONE, banana split! You should definitely come check it out, I gaurantee you'll come back for more :)

We just moved to Fairbanks and were out exploring.... the outside of the restaurant was really cute; like a fifties diner, so we decided to give it a try. The people were extremely friendly and the service was great. I had chili made with black beans and buffalo meat. They sprinkled cheese and fresh diced onions on top. It was delicious! They also have corn fritters that are to die for! My husband had the Philly beefsteak sandwich and apple pie with ice cream for dessert. He was very well pleased!

Support your local Businsses!. We just moved back to North Pole and I took our kids to breakfast. I t was great food and plenty of it AND the music was fantastic! We had a great time just taking it all in. Then later ordered my husband a Philly cheesesteak. he really liked it. Help keep them busy and often. Really fast and tasty and FUN! <br/><br/>A NEW FAN,

Nice people/decent food. VERY friendly people who run this place. My food was so-so but I prefer restaurants to fast food joints so I'll give it another shot when we are staying over in North Pole next time.

Worth the 10 minute drive from Fairbanks. Our menu favorites are the Patty Melt, Rueben, and Philly Cheesesteak. Seating at the tables can be claustorphobic when it's busy, so we stick to the barstools. However, we suspect this area might be cold in the winter 'cause it's by the door. Great service and the owner is nice. Again worth the trip.

Ummmm.... Horrible dinner. Green beans were not edible. Steak was edible but very poor quality. Service good but when we alerted staff the we were unhappy with the meal mgt argued with me in front of customers. Bad business practice people!. Breakfast and burgers are the only thing good there. Everything else is like back in the day school lunch cafeteria style! YUK Won't be going back.

If you like breakfast this is your place. The food is great, the service very prompt and friendly, and the portions are huge (pancakes the size of frisbees)! I can honestly say I've never had diner food that was served this piping hot. Omelets, French toast, hashbrowns... All generous and delicious. The coffee - served in the biggest diner mug I've seen - is also superb. Highly recommended.

Perfect for North Pole. My two sister-in-laws came for a brief visit last week. Before they left I wanted to send them off with a big "last-all-day" breakfast. This is the place to go!<br/><br/>Just off the Rich, past the Badger turnoff...look for the Big Shiny Diner!!
