The Spanish Mussels are to die for. Grab some bread, soak up that spicy sauce, dear lord. They seasoned this aggressively, making it perfect! Ordered Aglio e Olio the second time and was sad to discover that it was plain-tasting. Imagine a huge plate of just pasta... (5-year-olds in the area are squealing) it came close to this. Granted the dish itself is very simple, but that shouldn’t mean it should be kick-less. Will come back though!

Great meal. My daughter and I found this place via Urbanspoon. It has a very unassuming exterior and kind of a pub interior, but the food was outstanding. I had the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever eaten (thin crust, heavy on the pineapple and plenty of Canadian bacon). My daughter had the meatless lasagna, which I also tried. We both thought the lasagna was excellent. The service was very competent, wait times for the food very reasonable, and the meal was a good value for the price. When we left the restaurant about 8:30 pm on Saturday, there were quite a few people lined up in the pub area waiting to be seated. For a college town, it appeared that mainly the local adults were eating there, even though it's pretty close to the Smith College campus.

This place rocks. If you come to Northampton, you must visit Joe's cafe. It truly has the best pizza outside of New York (with possible exception to the original Pizzeria Regina in the North End of Boston.) The owners of this place are down to earth and are always on hand to ensure that the food is perfect. The original decor adds to the authentic feeling of the place. The spaghetti and clams and mussels are top notch, and Joe's house special pizza will cause you to eat until you are sick because it is so delicious. Sometimes the waitstaff is surly, (OK, in fairness, it is more accurate to say the waitstaff is often surly) but the food is so outstanding, it is worth overlooking.

Best pizza in the area. If you like thin crust, this is the best in Northampton. The place is always packed. The local's best kept secret.

This is the best place ever. Been coming my whole life for gluten free pizza and they never disappoint. Something about their crust is perfectly thin and sweet. Love the small cozy vibe of this joint . My grandma used to go on dates here so I always feel like a part of history eating there. Go see for yourself, and get the cheesy garlic bread!!!!

Fantastic food and service! It’s just a little cramped when a lot of people come in to wait, and it’s pretty warm in there. But I’m definitely coming back - I highly recommend the White Spinach Pizza, and next time I’ll try the Margherita!

I got spaghetti ( was technically angel hair) w meat sauce it was sooo good I wouldn't of had it any other way, a little spicy but very very good I think I loved it so much because of the spice has red pepper in the pasta or something but it's very very good. Also got clams de zuppe in red sauce very good as well but one menu says 10.75 another menu says 16.75 and I was charged 18 so not sure how priced changed 3 times 18$ for 7-8 little necks seemed a tad steep

Very good! I ordered take out. It was bustling in there! Not very clear on where to go to get sat or pick up. I ordered chicken picata, Joe's special pizza, antipasta salad, & cheese garlic bread. It was all delicious. The pizza is fantastically thin. Picata is lemony & well flavored. No complaints here. Solid meal.

Joe's #10 pizza is the best on the planet! Their signature thin, crunchy crust with veggies, pepperoni, and hamburg is second to none. Chris, behind the bar, was friendly, helpful, and always kept checking in with us to make sure our service needs were met. Very popular "local" hangout. Best advice: get there before 5:00 or you are going to have to wait.

We found this place while visiting the local colleges. The food was fantastic. The meatballs were definitely a favorite. It looks unassuming from outside, but there's quite a bit of dining space inside. There is plenty of parking right across the street.

We live in Florida now. This is one of our go to places when we go back to visit. Small restaurant with history great food, prices and atmosphere. Love the old neighborhood charm of this place and menu items.

The ambience in this place was very cozy and small. I enjoyed my chicken piccata dish but my friend’s chicken pasta dish was very dry and bland. They did serve us some white bread with our meal as well which was fine. I would like to go back and try the pizza as this is what this little joint is known for.
