We had a good experience. The food was good and they offer a pretty good selection on the menu. They have a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking and a nice atmosphere. We made a reservation but depending on the day/time you can probably walk in. We’ll eat here again when back in the area.
Food honestly was delicious (save for a weird garnish on my short rib that was terrible tasting, inedible).
Pasta with Asaparagus, fresh Peas and tomatoes was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Probably the best calamari I've ever had. Short ribs and polenta was delicious (aside from aforementioned above).
The overall vibe of the restaurant was very nice, if a little odd. A/C seemed not to work as it was stuffy and warm inside while hot outside.
Our server was okay, if not super personable. He left halfway through serving us too. Empty restaurant when we got there early and hostess tried to put us in direct sun without asking us if we had a preference despite every table being open. She wasn't super friendly, either.
It was a very good experience overall if not outstanding. But worth a try for the food alone.
Lovely space - very warm and welcoming vibe. We went for a typical date night on a Saturday around 8:30pm. Wasn’t crowded but had good energy.
We ordered the charred octopus and the burrata for appetizers. The octopus was really yummy and came with very tasty bits of chorizo, potato, and fennel. The burrata was good but came with only three of the tiniest crostini! We could have used 2-3 more pieces.
I got the salmon with farro which was very good. The fish had very, very crispy skin which was delicious. My fiancé got one of the specials - rack of lamb. This was the star dish of the night. Tender, juicy, and the sides it came with were so good.
We were too full for dessert but the options sounded really delicious. The server said they’re all completely homemade. Next time we’ll try to save room. They had a lemon ricotta cheesecake with blueberry compote that sounded amazing.
Our server and the bussers were attentive, quick, and professional.
Overall great experience and we’ll be back with friends and family in tow.
The food was absolutely delicious, as we're the bottomless mimosas. We went for Mother's Day, and the atmosphere was lovely. If it was warmer, we would have sat outside. It's a bit pricey, but worth it!
There is outdoor patio seating, as well as indoor and bar seating. The signature drink is beautifully made and delicious. The bread at the table is so good, you may want to ask for more before you order. The menu is simple and the dishes use fresh and local ingredients. There are always a few specials that you should also consider, the wait staff can recite them from memory.
The food portions are perfect, not too much, not too little. Everyone in my party felt their dinner was excellent, and we had room for dessert.
Update: I went here again on October 3rd. I proposed to my now fiance there. They accommodated me and my 20 guest. No issues. Food and service was great once again.. Thank you so much for making our special day that much special. Thank you management and staff...
Took my girlfriend here for Brunch on September 4th for her birthday after weeks of research of places to go for Brunch and Mimosas. Glad I ended up choosing this place. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was amazing. Bottomless Mimosas were a hit. There was 9 of us in our party. No one complained about their food. No one's order was messed up. Wait staff were very attentive and just on point with everything. Highly recommended. I will DEFINITELY be back.
Oak & Almond is a great restaurant. The setting is nice, warm and welcoming, the food is very good and the service willing - all the ingredients for a great dinner, which we had. I wish I could give 5 stars, but there are three things we experienced that force me to rate the restaurant with 4 stars. 1 - The host was as cold as the evening was. Not a kind word, an eye smile (masked) and we felt we were bothering him when he walked us to the table (other reviews have a similar experience). If you're in the hosting business, you need to treat guests like a caring host. 2 - The busboys pour water from a bottle as if they are trying to douse a fire. The bottle is held upside down and the water pours out, creating wetness on the table and just making one feel you're at a diner. 3 - The specials...I ordered the Cioppino (seafood in a tomato sauce). Although nicely presented, at $48, there just was not enough value in the dish. No fish, only 6-7 very small mussels, 2 scallops and 3 large shrimp. The sauce itself was fair. At that price point, the dish should be brimming with more fish, shellfish and flavor. Bottom line, we will likely be back, and just hope that the items we experience are addressed.
What a beautiful restaurant. The food and service are excellent. You must try the grilled octopus.
