I left California a few years ago and one of the biggest drag is there is no Mi Pueblo (Novato or Petaluma) super great food, prices and people. We miss it so much!

Some of the best Mexican restaurants in Marin, wish they would carry organic ingredients though.

f you've never been there, you need to fix that! This is a great family owned chain of restaurants and the downtown location is great as it has a nice outdoor seating area. Interesting fact, it used to be a Taco Bell back in the day. Anyhoo, back to the food. DELICIOUS! The rice and beans actually have flavor (which is a great barometer of how good a mexican place is) and not bland or too watery on the beans. My family loves the lengua and chimichanga's. I'm more of a taco person myself but also love their burrito size/proportion. It's not too much, not too little. I LOVE their Al Pastor and Carne Asada. Both are flavorful and cooked well. Its easy to burn the Pastor as it often has a sweetness to it. Never happens here. In closing, go check it out. The weather usually always cooperates here in the Northbay and you can get a slice of the Downtown Novato Vibe. If you have kids, take them to the bookstore next door afterwards and get them a book. It's a great spot, it'll benefit the kids as well as the local economy ;-P

Traveling with our doggo on 101 and needed a pit stop that we could bring our pup. Food was great, service attentive. Overall excellent experience. Vegie burrito was great using like a frozen broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, zucchini mix, but they grilled them first which really brought out more flavor, not watery at all. Really enjoyed it. Hubby loved the carnitas in the Tostada Mas, very filling. My sister had the cheese enchilada plate, good but would have been even better if the tortillas were grilled or enchiladas were baked to get that desirable crispy edge.

One of my favorite Mexican food spots here in Novato. The indoor seating is definitely limited but they’ve got plenty of outdoor seating. The food is always delicious no matter what I’ve had.

Very good authentic food. The taco shell was great, though thin enough to crack and drop stuff after biting it. The carnitas in the enchilada were not dry and had lots of flavor. Prices were on the low side of average for a restaurant of this type, and service was good even though they were busy.

The best authentic Mexican in town. Delicious. Friendly staff. Unlike the Taco Bell's and Chipotles, Mi Pueblo is like going south of the border, it's the real thing, the portions are bigger, they are happier to see you, you get lots in the the bag if you take out (chips, salsa) and not have to pay extra. And unlike going south of the border, you won't get sick. I love this place!

All the times I’ve gotten mojarra it has been very dry and barely any meat. But overall the food is good and they have lots of options.

Their California burrito is awesome! I recommend it without the rice or beans and extra green salsa. Sooo delicious! Everything else I’ve had is great too.

Mi Pueblo has amazing Mexican food and is one of my favorites. Their meat options are plentiful, when I visit my parents I go here and get chorizo, lengua, and cabeza. The chorizo is some of the best I've ever had (sadly a lot of chorizo in Texas is bad). The cabeza is tender and great in a super burrito. The tacos are good too. The salsa bar has pickled jalapenos that tick the spicy acidic box. Don't miss out on Mi Pueblo.

Came here for lunch after a hike. Loved the salsa; it has a nice kick! I regret not asking for some to go. Loved that they have a variety of tortilla options for burritos. I got the sundried tomato for a super carne asada burrito. It was massive, definitely enough for 2 meals and extremely tasty. All the ingredients meshed well together, even on the next day. The house margarita also did not disappoint 😋

Big plates of Mexican fare, served in a funky (in a good way) setting. I had the shrimp & vege burrito which tasted great even without sour cream and cheese. Wife had the chicken quesadilla which had the chicken grilled perfectly. Food is a good value, but drink prices are high.

Lovely downtown atmosphere with delicious Mexican food. The carnitas burrito and chimichanga with all the trimmings were excellent.
