Amazing. After 8 years of working in Oak Ridge I finally decided to try The Soup Kitchen and all I can say is wow. I got in just before the lunch rush and got the tomato soup and 3 cheese grilled sandwich. Firstly, that tomato soup is more of a stew it is so thick and simply amazing but that grilled
For it to be called a soup kitchen. I ended up not getting the soup because it was hot that day but I got a sandwich and I must say it tasted great. The place was like a mom and pop style restaurant. The people there were really friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I will have to come back
Faster than fast food, and better. Very cozy atmosphere inside, tons of OR and Manhattan Project memorabilia on the walls. Hadn't been to a Soup Kitchen since there was one in downtown Knoxville and was pleased to see that things hadn't changed at all.
I've been going to this restaurant since high school. All of their soups are great I generally get the chili. Love the bread too.
