Love this place! There is a great beer selection here, and they also always have a cider or kombucha on tap too, for your non-beer-drinking friends (in my group, that's me!)
The food here is also excellent. The MexiCaliburger is a fantastic, the fried chicken sandwich is fab, the chicken schwarma wrap is also far far better than it sounds. The winner though, by far, is the grilled chicken wings. These may take longer to cook - but they are worth the wait. They will come drizzled in three different kinds of amazing sauces, so each wing has a flavor all it's own (There are some standard wing sauces provided too - but trust me - you won't need them!) Have some veggie or vegan friends? No problem, this place has them covered too! All my vegan buddies were surprised at the quality of the vegan offerings from a burger place, all said they'd come back here again. Pro tip: Ask for diablo sauce on the fried chicken sandwich!
The staff here is very friendly, but the service hit or miss. Our orders are often mixed up, plages forgotten, or delivered without diablo sauce (when you specifically asked for it) but usually problems are corrected quickly, and without too much fuss (and often with a free order of fries! mmm)
The owners are fantastic. They're locals who have created a fantastic community gem - a place for kids, dogs, and the whole neighborhood to gather. The laughter and sounds of people having a good time have transformed the feel of this neighborhood.

The trays are bomb! We got the korean chicken one that came with rice and beans and collards with side of elote...the seasoning was on point and super satiating for the appetite and taste buds! Chill spot to hang with friends and play games :-)
Sideshow is a hidden Little Gem of South Berkeley Oakland border the food the service the people the games amazing! The staff really puts a whole new spin on customer service!! Great Job!!
The burgers were so good! We were pleasantly surprised. I love that they have games to play, and the patio is very cool. They also have my favorite drink, sangria. You don't see that at a lot of places. All in all it was a great experience. I will definitely be going there again, and it is only a couple blocks from my house. Lucky me! :-) Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
Great staff, great service, and food is bomb! The vegan shawarma is hella good! Must try the soprano burger and wings!

Loved my West Bank Chicken Shawarma.
The collard greens are on point, the corn is yummy and the red beans and rice are fantastic.
Oh and the hibiscus water is so refreshing and free!

When MIke asked Studio MSI to help with his brand for SIdeshow Kitchen. We had no idea the food would be as tasty as the logo we created for him. There menu is strictly fire.
Sideshow was pretty phenomenal! I had the grilled chicken salad and friends all had the burgers. The garlic fries are pretty damn good. Looking forward to going back to try the tacos and burgers

Just ate at #sideshowoakland. Best wings I've had to date. They need to bottle up this sauce and sell it. Burgers are great too. Very chill environment.

Got the Mexicali burgers and kids burgers and it was GOOD! Kids burger was really big, my son was upset that we were getting kids burger, but when he saw the size, he was really happy! The Mexicali burger was very tasty and the fries had some salty seasoning which made them so much better than just salt. And the staff was really friendly. Will definitely come back because of the outdoor seating and dog friendly place.
The Mexi-Cali burger was great, flavorful and fresh with a bit of a spicy kick. Also got the lemon pepper wings which were simple but still delicious. Plenty of outdoor seating with TVs and cool decor. Overall a great, chill lunch experience!
Like the man said, “damn good chicken sandwich” — one of the best. Go for the classic chicken sammie, great combination of flavors with super crispy chicken. Tasty fries, all kinds of beers. Props!
This is what a cheeseburger should be!🤤 everything was so good! The staff was super awesome as well. The elote is amazing. The beer on tap is delicious.

I've been coming here for a while and can't believe I haven't reviewed. The food is amazing and the atmospheres great. It's all outdoor so you don't feel cramped. Burgers are amazing and the workers/owner are very cool and down to earth people. Overall have always had a great time hanging out here with a drink and a burger!
Ryan and Carter approves the kids burger. It's a winner when they finish the whole thing. Great space to hang. Came around 2pm on Saturday, right before the rush. Krinkle fries had nice seasoning. Buffalo wings were very good. Original Pattern Hazy on tap. One TV showing ESPN and Jay Z playlist in the background. Chill crowd. A little pricey but satisfied with the experience.
Best burger in the east bay. Great food and good vibes, what more do you need from a burger joint. Churros are good too
