Lovely. Although their decor is on the odd side, Sahn Maru has a charm that is rare. The food is Awesome! I would go with the dol sot bi bim bob.

The food was actually only slightly above average, although the Korean specialty dish, goat stew, really impressed us. Prices are higher than most places

My family's go to place for Korean food in the East Bay. Love their seafood pancake, dolsot bibimbop, tofu soup, and array of banchan. I also come back for the friendly service.

I want a down to earth home cooking and I got a down to earth home cooking. Family owned and friendly. Really down to earth set-up. Great spot for a good meal.

We went there for my birthday dinner. Such good food! We got their speciality (the black goat soup dish). So good! When you're done with it (or whenever you've had enough), tell the main guy and he'll come by, and make a fried rice with the left over soup in front of you. That was so yum too! The seafood pancake was one of the best seafood pancakes I've had. Definitely a must try place. The owner/chef guy is very friendly also.

Don't let the empty chairs fool you, this is a fantastic Korean place! Personally reminds me of a place called Seoul House on Telegraph that my family used to frequent. Food is very traditional, with excellent kimchi (I literally come here for this) and side dishes. They also have the upside of serving the mixed grain (purple) rice if you're looking to be a bit healthy. Would highly recommend!

Took a friend here for her first Korean BBQ experience. Out of nowhere, the owner/chef came over, introduced himself, mixed our food, told us about the special sauce, and was just a total champion. Will definitely come back.

I have been their normal for 10+ years. Still can't find any better Korean food anywhere around the Bay Area. My favorites : seafood pancake, Bulgogi, Galbi, Soft Tofu soup.

Excellent Korean food. The tofu soup was fantastic, as was the kalbi and bbq chicken. The dinner special for two was delicious, expensive, and excessive (in the best way possible).
