Review A&w Restaurant - Oakridge

Overcharged me and wouldn't make it right, forgot about us and took forever, and the place is dirty! I don't want to give a bad review because I love A&W and want it to stay in business, but the owner really needs to step in and do some quality assurance... So sad, 1 star.

Always a fun spot to stop and enjoy a corn dog and a root beer float in a nostalgic drive-up environment. Recently under construction, so I included a "before" photo to compare after the remodel.

Always the best part of traveling over the pass... stopping for a cold, frosty mug of Root Beer Float! Wonderfulness!

Always love our Oakridge store. The old car-hop style is fun, and the burgers are always nummy, the fries crispy, and the root beer is cold and refreshing.

If I could rate this with no stars I would! After a long drive, my daughter and I stopped in yesterday to grab a quick bite to eat. When we walked in to order, we were greeted at the register with the overwhelming smell of pot coming from the kitchen area! The restaurant was empty with the exception of, from what I could see, 2 female workers in the back. The cashier taking our order barely spoke to us and did not make eye contact at all. After ordering, my daughter and I each took turns using the 1 stall restroom. It was very dirty and looked as if it had been several days since it had been last clean. There was no soap for washing your hands. While waiting for my daughter, one of the employees headed to the restroom but saw I was waiting so she walked away which led me to believe that was the only restroom for both employees and customers. THERE WAS NO SOAP! We made the decision right then and there that we would not be eating our food. We dumped it in the trash and left. We will never go back.

Papa burger wasn't terrible, though the onion was sliced a bit thick. Tenders had good texture and we're not dried out but also the saltiest I have ever had. Fries were greasy and soggy, seemed like they must be using a separate lower temperature fryer for those. Chocolate shake appeared to be vanilla with a ton of chocolate syrup added. Overall edible but I can't say it was particularly good for the price point. It had been quite a few years, I remember A&W being a bit better.

I really do enjoy going to A&W. The food is really good and in my opinion it's the best place to get a good burger reasonably inexpensive. Their root beer is the absolute best and the atmosphere is quite nice. At the moment there's construction going on to repair the car hop area. It was damaged during last winter's storm that hit the area pretty hard.

I lived here in the 70/s and it was top notch place to eat!

Long wait for simple order to go, not busy. Food was cold (burger/fries) vegetables weren't good, bad onion, soggy lettuce... Will never go there again. Real disappointment after thinking about it while driving over icy roads on the way there.

It's not the same as it was in the 70s and80s😩I tried to order cheese curds and he told he didn't think they had any. Then I sat down waiting for my order and I watched him bring out cheese curds to a costumer😡 And the place is very filthy!!! I will never go back!

Amazing food, amazing service, excellent prices, I make it a point to stop as often as possible whenever I'm passing through town!

About as close as you can get to a classic A&W. The have inside & car hops. It was hot that day, so most people came in and used the AC. Lot had room for a truck and camper.

Absolutely filthy! I can't believe the health department doesn't shut them down. We'll never go there again.

Nice people and great food that didn't cost too much! Try to stop here everytime we go through Oakridge. Love A&W
