Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere and Super friendly staff. The bread knots were soft and tasty. The pizza pie was amazingly delicious and I even found the crust to be quite delightful. I would definitely recommend coming here and giving them a try. 🐺🍕
Food - Ordered 2 pizzas and two pepperoni pizzas. The taste was outstanding! =D
Service - The servers were very kind, although the food DOES take a while to arrive... -_-
Atmosphere - The style of the restaurant just has a vibe of it that makes it very comfortable =D
(Note-You need to have a reservation in order to dine in. You CAN order take out, although I haven't ordered through it.)
Lets start with WOW!!!! I have eaten
.. Alot of pizza... chicago, st louis, east coast styles west coast styles anf by far this sauce is one of the tastiest, got the naploetana pizza with a ceaser salad. The salad was nearly a full salad not some side salad that you would get at a typical chain. The ceaser was creamy and just the perfect amount croutons and of course tons of shredded Parm! The complimentary rolls reminded me of my grand mothers dinner rolls except they "crank'em up a notch" as Lagasse would say. The parm and italian dressing on the rolls is just delightful! The "pizza de resistance" (pun intended) was the napoletana pizza! The pepperoni was wafer thin! The sauce was incredible, no chain marinara here! The familiar tomato taste took me home to my grandmothers fresh spaghetti sauce 10/10 would recommend and will be back!!!
Driving home from Tampa, we wanted good pizza and based on google reviews; we stopped at Piesanos for takeout. No disappointment here. The pizzas were fabulous. They took our order over the phone and it was ready when we arrived. Very friendly service. Not inexpensive at all, but worth every bit of what I paid. Quality and service overshadowed price. Thank you Piesanos!!
I sat back on this review longer than I should've, so I'm truly sorry about that.
Last Summer of 2022, my eldest brother and I were in town for Spookala Ocala. Our hotel was the Equus Inn, but I needed to stop by a Chase location to withdraw money. We weren't sure what we were eating that night, but after stopping by the Publix and Chase, our eye saw Piesanos right there in the corner of the plaza.
When I saw "Stone fired" I was immediately sold, because there's no better or authentic way to have a pizza than stone, coal, or wood-fired. My girlfriend lives in Washington State outside Seattle, and all the local pizza places baked their pies this exact way. The results and flavor are unmatched.
This particular day it was especially hot, but as soon as I opened the entrance door, we were hit with a blast of welcoming cold air. Inside was very busy (in a good way), so they had seating on their outside shaded patio. It actually worked out well because there was a nice cross breeze. My only suggestion, because Ocala is equestrian country, there's so many horseflies. The outdoor patio area would be a bit better if it were screened in to prevent the flies from landing on the food.
That aside I was happy they had fresh brewed iced tea, and my brother got a Peroni Italian beer I believe. The decision was mine on the pizza, and I wanted something on the healthier side. I saw the Mediterranean pie and immediately knew that was the one. It came out perfectly baked, generous vegetable toppings, and the dough was stretched out thin and definitely not stuffy like you'd get with conventional doughy pizza's.
If you're a local up there you already know this place is a gem, but if you're in town visiting I insist stopping by and trying out their numerous fine pies 🍕
On a personal note, please open a franchise in the Carrollwood or Citrus Park area of Tampa. Because we're longing for a place like this 😕
Best wishes 😎✌🏼
Really damn good. The bread rolls alone will make me come back for more and more and more. Lasagna bolognese is fantastic!
We really enjoyed this place. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the pizza was amazing, especially the little charred pepperonis, yum! The only thing I wish we knew before hand was that they give you complimentary garlicky butter rolls (or whatever they are called). We didn't know so we ordered breadsticks then ended up with both plus pizza (carb overload!) But everything was so good, I eould def recommend!
Wow! We went Saturday night and it is Tuesday and I am still thinking about the dinner we had! Had a great Italian salad to start and some garlic knot/bread that had a bit of the same dressing the salad had, in the bottom of the serving bowl. Wonderful to dip in, like the bread and oil at Carrabbas if you like that. Totally different “dip/oil”, but just as tasty. The Pizza Antico was to die for! Absolutely amazing!! We can’t wait to go back!
The food was amazing. The service was excellent. My calzone was cooked to perfection.
So to put you in perspective, I’m from Italy and I’m very picky with Italian food, over all pizza, the mozzarella sticks, full of cheese, salty, crunchy, the salsa was very similar to a Sicilian salsa. 10/10
The garlic bread was soggy, doughy, underwhelming, but had some flavor. Not recommend.
But the pizza, is like to have my nona, (grandma) do it.
Was delicious, the cheese melted like good mozzarella should’ the pepperoni was salty and crunchy, amazing. 10/10
Over all a great experience.
We were in town for a kids football game and just happen to decide to try this place out. For starters the smell in the air from the pies cooking was absolutely irresistible! Then the pizza itself was the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them all. So to say this was the best is saying a lot. I have only two regrets, I didn’t buy an extra pizza to take back home with us, and two we don’t live near by. It was so good I could see myself making the 2 hour trip out to Ocala just for this place!! Food is love and this was definitely love! Oh & don’t let me forget to mention the awesome staff, they were fantastic too.
We’ve come here a couple of times with our family of 5 and food is always great but today we went with a group of almost 20 and it seems the staff here doesn’t really know how to handle big groups. Unfortunately, we waited for almost an hour to be seated, then once we were seated, we had to wait even more for our waiter to attend us. But once our waiter, Alex, finally got to us, everything was a bit better. I ended up ordering the Margerhita pizza and it was so flavorful. Would definitely order it again, but I don’t think I’ll go with a big group again. I’ll just stick going with my small family.
The pizza was some of the best I've ever had. The staff got us a table quickly, took our order and had the food out to us in about 20min. She was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back.
Great pizza with great crust, tasty sauce, & garlic rolls !
We've had an excellent experience each and every time - always consistent ! Good size portions and we take home any leftovers to enjoy the next day !
Best Italian food in Marion County hands down. Aside from the mouth watering authentic fresh dishes the service is unmatched. I always ask for Ashlyn because she is the kindest, most informative server I've had. She's on top of drinks, food comes out timely and I never have to wait on boxes or checks.
