I had a cup of very very good , French onion soup! Yummie 😋
Also, we had fried onion pedals with spicy ranch dressing for dipping. Very good.
We both had 5 wings a piece, hers with Buffalo sauce , Blue cheese dressing for dipping
I had mine with Teriyaki sauce, with Ranch dressing for dipping. Extra crispy. Oh and a side of sweet potato fries...
Very good. This was my first time eating at Gators Dockside restaurant. Very good. Great place to go watch sports. To bring young children. Very good food. Very good service!
Michelle H was quick to come outside and take our order, and didn’t bat an eye when we decided it was too cold to stay outside and came in! She was friendly, knowledgeable, quick to respond and friendly! What a great person to make us feel we were the best customers there!
Great salads. No issue w orders, and our (weird) drink order came out great!

Loved it!!! 1st time having Gator bites and I highly recommend the "4th & 40" Smash Burger. 4 layers of meat, 4 layers of cheese & 4 layers of bacon...

We have always loved Gators...haven't been for quite a while as we just came back to FL, been away for 5 yrs....no matter, I was quite taken with the price of my Grouper Sandwich! $17, which I would gladly pay, yet, when it arrived, I actually could not see the grouper!! It was a quarter thickness and maybe 5 inches long by 2 1/2!!! I was simply shocked! The waitress was wonderful and even the manager came over...none of it is their fault...it is the company! Sad to say, prices go up, and the food becomes less. What a sad country we are living in at this time! LOL I bet it will take you a min to find the grouper!!!
My husband ordered the nachos and was quite pleased! So, not all a loss and the manager was so kind as to decrease the price of my sandwich... Thank you very much. We will return.
Not much to say but good experience all things considered. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was good but fries and wrap came out cold the first time. I sent it back and they brought fresh cooked food back out and it was good when it was at temp. They were really good about redoing the food. They also had 2 for ones on some drinks so I had to the two for one long Island for $9.99, hard to beat a $5 long Island. My friends habanero chili chicken was also really good. I'd still recommend it, probably went on an off day.
Decided on Gator’s today and had the bacon jam cheeseburger. It was very good. Service was good. We always enjoy the atmosphere at Gator’s!
Amanda was amazing! She consistently made sure that our needs were met while providing excellent customer service. She took the time to answer the many menu questions we had and because she actively listened, she found that we are new to the area and gave us some great recommendations for fun things to do in the area.
As a hospitality manager, I recognized her
ability to drive sales while staying engaged with the guest and I was very impressed.
We look forward to our next visit!
So I come to Gator's Dockside almost every weekend. I like the laid back vibe, the great food, and the great service. One server in particular has stood out above the rest, and that is Ken. He is friendly, and attentive. He works very hard to make sure his customers have everything they need and if there is ever any issue, he is "johnny on the spot" to fix the problem. He is very knowledgable about the menu items as well. Would recommend Gator's Dockside and Ken for anyone looking for great food and great service under one roof!
Food was perfectly done. The wings had taste and heat. The sweet potato fries are cooked just right and happy hour drinks are not watered down.
The waitress was Super observant and could answer any question we had.
I observed a lot of wiping down and sanitizing of tables before they would place a customer.
Great atmosphere
The location is amazing. Right off the interstate. The food is always good, and they have the best wings ever... grilled, 22 minutes...crispy and delicious. Drinks are true 2 for 1. Amanda and Jess are great at the bar.
We had a great meal and even better service! Chardae was our waitress and she was exceptional! I have not received such great service in a very long time. She was sweet, kind, attentive, funny and a great worker!! 10 out of 10 experience with her!!!! If you’re grabbing a bite to eat be sure to ask for her. You won’t be disappointed!!!!

I ordered boneless wings with flavors but the kitchen was stingy with it but Michelle brought me out a container quickly and made it all better! Dry rub ribs were also light on the seasoning tonight. The Ranch dressing could be thicker - I feel like I wore more than I ate.
This place is always clean and service on point. There is enough background noise from TV or music to drowned out the people talking.
Our family was in Ocala for a wedding. Gators was near our hotel. We stopped in on Monday afternoon of 11/13 and was seated quickly. The hostess said they were short staffed because Mondays are usually slow and they had a couple of larger groups come in. I appreciated her honesty. I don’t remember the name of our server but she was awesome. I would have never known they were short staffed by her outstanding service. Five stars for service, food and prices. We will definitely stop in when visiting Ocala again.
First time guests eating here with a large family! We were seated fairly quickly. We
went on a Tuesday and it just so happened to be kid night. The kids received a free meal with each paying adult. While we were waiting for our food a magician came to the table and entertained the kids. He was funny and the kids really enjoyed it! The food was pretty good and a reasonable price. I did not get pictures of all the meals. Some of the adult meals purchased were the gyro, boneless barbecue wings with fries and some type of barbeque footlong hotdog with fries.
When on a recent trip I went to Gators Dockside for lunch. The wings were top notch as were the drinks. We had great service and an incredible server. Jessica P. was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and remained attentive to us, even when the restaurant became extremely busy with lunch crowds. On our next trip we will definitely be back to Gators Dockside. Thanks Jessica!
had a work Christmas party. Michelle and Amanda were our servers and did a fantastic job taking care of everyone. They hear kind and helpful (and patient!) while we all settled in and figured out what we wanted.
Michelle H. is an amazing server! Stopped in for dinner, drinks and football- you made our night! Your service is outstanding.
