This was a friendly little restaurant. It was unassuming on the outside but crowded on the inside. The staff was super nice and the food was great. We tried the Lakis platter and the eggplant rollatini. The food is fresh and delicious! As a side note almost all entrees come with a small Greek salad. The only thing we didn't care for was the pastisio in the Lakis platter. The dolmades were scrumptious, but the flavor is distinct and may not be for everyone. The eggplant in the rollatini was cooked perfectly! Overall I would recommend this restaurant and will be coming back
Stopped by while in Ocala for the World Equestrian Center. I wanted to have Greek food as I haven’t had it in years. Ordered the Lakis sampler platter. Everything was good except we didn’t care for the item wrapped in grape leaves. It had a very strong flavor but that may be normal for grape leaves?
Ordered the classic Gyro and found it to be quite good. We both got a small Greek salad and it was tasty with the bits of ham in it. I would have like the platter to be hotter as the inside of the items were kind of cold. Our server was very helpful and very friendly so it made up for anything else!
Nice cozy restaurant with great comfort food. Delicious and authentic Greek cuisine. The Greek potatoes are worth coming back again and again. Nice friendly atmosphere!

Really enjoyed the food and experience! I got the Taste of Greece exchanging the moussaka for the pastisio, which wasn't quite what I expected but it was very good. Spanakopita was amazing! Husband had the gyro platter and it was a good size serving and you got the spinach with feta cheese as his side. The garlic bread was delicious as well! Excellent experience!

Found this place on Maps on our way driving through headed to Longboat. My wife wanted some great Greek food, and this place delivered!
First of all, our waitress Martha was so warm and hospitable to my wife and I. She made us feel like we were right at home!
We ordered the Tzatziki sauce that came with fresh, warm toasted pita bread, for an appetizer.
Both our meals came with salads, and the dressing was so refreshing.
My wife ordered Roasted Leg of Lamb with potatoes. This tasted like somebody's Grandma was in the back and had prepared her speciality with all her TLC! It was presented so beautifully and was so flavorful, perfectly seasoned and extremely tender and moist! The portion was generous and we left with half to go!
I ordered the Shrimp and Clam Linguine. Again, the presentation was beautiful, and the taste even better! The pasta and seafood were cooked exactly perfect, and seasoned so as well. The most amazing balance of fresh garlic, herbs and olive oil! Such comfort food!!
Both of our meals came with the best garlic loaf, to soak up all the goodness on our plates and bowls. We could taste the butter and garlic, unlike some other places.
We ended our meals with baklava cheesecake and chocolate mousse.
Both were wonderful, as well!
We'd definitely return if we're coming through this area! Such a treat all the way around.
Thank you for a special experience. We didn't even mention that we were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary, but I don't think the service could have been any better, had they known.
Oh my!! Here on business…long day. Food was all so good! Had the Avgolemono soup, Mama’s Lasagna and limoncello cake and baklava. All was excellent and homemade. The wait staff was attentive, super friendly! A place that makes you want to come back and try everything on the menu! Lakis is a great find, ya got to try it!!
The ladies that work in this place are very nice and polite. Professional.
The music and the paintings especially the paintings remind me of back home.
The food was way better than expected. I have been to Mediterranean restaurants and a lot of them were disappointing.
This one is not. The food here is made with care. They want you to enjoy it and give you a good amount.

Small... very small Greek salad with dinner. Use to be a nice hearty salad above the rim, full of lettuce and fetta... now... not so. Got chintzy 😞. It's the little things, guys... the little things. Maybe we will try it again. Been going to this place for some time. I'd personally be embarrassed (as an owner) to skimp. 🤷♂️🫡
Managing our carbs better. Had the Gyro Plate no pita with a Broccoli & cheese side. My Gyro Plate came with a side salad. Also pictured is the Gyro Salad
We stopped here on our way to Jacksonville, FL. Fantastic food, if we are stopping for dinner while driving I would highly recommend.
We had the village salad with gyro and the Lakis platter. I think that’s the best moussaka I’ve ever had.

I’ve been to a lot of Greek restaurants across the country and hands-down. This place is one of the best.
This restaurant has the best hummus I've ever had. The pita was lightly toasted and the perfect vessel to transport that fabulous hummus to my mouth.
I had the chicken kabob meal and it was so much food! I almost never end up taking food home from a Greek restaurant, but I certainly had more than I could eat here and had to ask for a box. The only downside is that I don't live in Ocala and won't be able to eat here more often.
We always have a great experience here. We love the family atmosphere. The food is plentiful and flavorful. They have a variety so it’s also kid friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
We stopped.into Lakis on a Saturday night an hour before closing. Our server, Martha, was very accommodating and welcoming. She.helped us with many suggestions from appetizers to wine to dessert. Our food came out in a timely manner which wasn’t rushed despite the time. Everything was hot, delicious and authentic.We would highly recommend Lakis!! Opa!
We had a nice lunch at Lakis Greek Restaurant. The Original Gyros were very tasty. We will be back. Their prices are reasonable and staff friendly and helpful.
Feels like a casual cafe. Reasonable prices. Excellent service and the food was delightful. My kids took me there on Mother's Day. We really enjoyed it. They insisted on going back to celebrate their high school graduation. Same lovely server, Storrm. Even though it meant going to the same place back to back (I like variety) it didn't disappoint.
