Was visiting Ocala for the weekend and was late Sunday evening when I stop to Sonny's for a quick bite to eat. The have the best BBQ pull pork sandwich with Garlic Bread. The place had a few customers so the service was good in a quiet atmosphere. Great place for a quick meal.
We had a great dinner! The sliced pork was excellent.
I love the beans at Sonny’s! They are soooo good!
The jalapeño cheese sausage was really good too!
Overall everything was great. Friendly service from the minute you walk in the door. Big drinks. Big portions. Always good food. My only complaint would be the dining room lights were too bright.
My wife loves it, and every time we come to Florida, we have to stop here and eat. I don't get it, there's much better barbecue elsewhere, but it reminds her of her childhood so we do it.
Food is pretty good though, I won't lie. And for a chain, the barbecue is pretty damn good all things considered
The GM Jim was very welcoming and friendly with all his guests. The atmosphere was indeed calm and warm. As per usual the food, specifically the pulled pork was delicious. I highly recommend the egg rolls to anyone who comes to eat here on 200. I was very pleased with my overall experience here. Good job to the establishment and their team.
Just got out. Heather was so nice and found us a good deal ;)👍 The food was awesome. Love those fried eggrolls and the big deal. Always good. I expected things to be alright since is was 8:15 at night when we came in, but they were still top notch. Thanks Heather—appreciate you! . 8 months on the job and still gave us exceptional service. The Three of us will be back. :D
The food was absolutely delicious, and the girl Mariana working the window in drive thru was an absolute delight! She was so kind and friendly. Had a very inviting personality and made sure I got everything I asked for and made sure to offer me salt, pepper, asked for my type in BBQ sauce etc. What a pleasant experience.
We placed our order from the phone while we were enroute to Sonny's on Hwy 200 Ocala. As soon as we got there we dialed the number to confirm they knew we were there for car pick up. The lady answered and was so pleasant...she brought out our order almost immediately. Since I asked about tge possibility of buying a couple more wings, the lady kinda knew we were going to share and 3 wings is not an option, but she gave us a small extra yummy potato salad. It was a great experience from ease of ordering, amazingly friendly customer service, quickness of getting order carried out to us, great price and the BBQ Tour Plate was delish. Thank you Sonny's! We will definitely be back often.
Went there today for dinner Dee was our server, she was quick and funny! Our food came out FAST! The corn nuggets where delicious as was everything else we got! My kid ate two servings of the Mac and cheese and asked for more. The garlic toast was perfect and the sweet tea was on point. We came here because of all the reviews and they where right! Must go! We will be back!
Sonny's is always a great local spot for quick meet ups lunch or dinner. This Sonny's is always a favorite of mine and colleges to meet at. Even with a constant lunch crowd the kitchen and servers are attentive and quick with getting food to the table, as needed.
I’ve went to many Sonny’s over the year’s and 90% of them good but this one was the best, the food was hot and very good.

Back in Ohio where I'm from, we don't have Sonny's unfortunately. This was my first time visiting and man they did a wonderful job. Cassie was our server, she was quick, very personable, and funny as well. I've been in customer service and was an assistant manager at a restaurant, she is probably the best server I've ever had.
We got the loaded tots as an appetizer, absolutely worth it. We both also got meals; I had the grilled cheese brisket and it was everything I hoped for. I got the mac n cheese as the side and decided to really load it up- put my mac n cheese on my sandwich, drizzle a little ranch and some extra sweet BBQ and smoked BBQ on it. It was comparable to the Pig Rig from the Florida State Fair I had a year ago honestly. Delicious. Sorry my sandwich is like half-eaten btw, it was so good I nearly forgot to grab a picture of it lol.
Our total all in all was only about $30, which I think is very fair for the quality and amount of food we got. She even topped our drinks off, which came in a large styrofoam cup, for us to take home.

This Sonny’s location has it figured out! The food here is just so much better compared to other Sonny’s I have been to. My to go meal and service was so good I had to call to tell them.
Dee our waitress was very attentive and service was spot on. Jim the restaurant manager came out to greet customers and Tiffanie in drive thru is extremely sweet and polite. The food taste great as always!!!!!
First time here at Sonny's and it was great. I had the while hog signature sandwich and it was great. Will definitely eat here again. To big thumbs up.
