The food was pretty good, and the serving sizes were huge! What really stood out was the service. Maddie was fantastic!
No problems. We tried to identify fish on their wall painting while we waited.
We got burgers and enjoyed them very much. I look forward to going to back to order a catch of the day from their specials.
It sounds like this place might struggle a little more than expected when they’re busy.
First Timer and was not disappointed at all. The waitress was very helpful and friendly too. I had the halibut with garlic and butter topping, date had the seared scallops both were excellent and would visit again. BRAVO
2nd time coming here now, and I have to say, it's pretty spot on. Service is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, down to earth and food is wonderful. Only thing would be that the serving size could be more. Other than that, great food both times going. Mahi Rueben 👌
We ate here on a whim and really enjoyed the experience. We did have to wait for about 30 minutes before being seated, but we loved the outdoor seating, the friendly service, and the food. My husband ordered a fried seafood sampler and the fried scallops were generously sized and delicious. I ordered the jumbo coconut shrimp and lobster bisque and the shrimp were indeed jumbo and the bisque was better than I had in Maine. Each dinner was a good portion and came with rolls and a salad, making the value for the money spot on. Our waitress was really hustling and was so friendly to our 3 year old. We will make Island Grill a staple going forward!
We all got the fresh catch of the day which was around $26-30. It came with a salad and side, so not a bad price especially with the quality of fish they gave us. The mini baked potato were excellent. I would not recommend the garlic mashed potatoes though unless you adore adore garlic. I love garlic and they were still to potent for me. Overall a great place to have a seafood dinner at the shore.
Always looking for new places to eat down the shore. 1st time eating here. From the moment we were greeted at the entrance, we knew we made a good choice! Everyone made us feel very welcome. Service was prompt, friendly and informative for first timers. All of our meals were great. Only regret is we didn't have time or room for any of their awesome sounding desserts. On leaving they told us to stop by again, and we hope to sometime soon!
We stay in Ocean City at least twice a year and always come here for a delicious dinner at least one night. My boyfriend and I had our first date here and June. We were just here last week and my boyfriend requested the same table as we sat in for our first date and they immediately accommodated us. Our waitress Pam was very kind and had a great sense of humor. The food was absolutely delicious as usual!

A great place for a family dinner. Parents can get something “fancier” than a burger and kids can still get chicken tenders and fries. Our waitress Addison was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Appetizers and food came out quickly even though it was a BUSY Monday. Very reasonably priced for our group of 6.
Captain’s platter was great, the scallops were surprisingly well-cooked and good quality. Fish tacos were a hit too.
As expected this place is great! Kyle our waiter was chill and handled our large group with ease , what a professional! Everything you want to experience when you go out to eat. Thank you Island Grill. We left happy.
A decent wait to be seated, but I can see why it's so popular. Well worth the wait! Food was expertly prepared and came out quickly. Huge shoutout to our server Madi for supremely friendly service. We are going back again very soon. Best steak ever!
Stayed in OCNJ for 5 nights August of 2022. Ate dinner here twice and loved it!! We eat early has we have littles ones (between 4-5PM) arrival each night and had no wait. Seated inside per our request and we’re pleased with the service and food each night. Would highly recommend for a nice meal outside of boardwalk fare.
Fantastic food and service. The cowboy ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever had and my husband's scallops and shrimp were wonderful as well. Maddie was our sever and she was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Although there was a bit of a wait to be seated it was more than worth it.
All 5 of us loved our dinners here. We ordered the fish and chips, the seafood sampler, lobster ravioli, pulled pork spaghetti and the vegetable pasta medley. And of course the cheese curd bites for an appetizer. We all agreed everything was cooked to perfection, portions not too big or small, the service was quick and friendly. Our waiter, Henry A. was very attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely be back!
This place is Ocean City good. Baked flounder with fresh stuffed crab and basic rice and veggies with it. After all the Ocean City carnival food this was an incredible meal. But then there’s things like the burger. A little more effort would be nice. If you can stuff flounder with crab, you can throw some sauce together for a burger. Overall I’d recommend.
