This place is on point on every level. Food a 10/10 but what makes this place special is the people who work here. Always nice and go out of there way to come to your table like 20 times. Definitely one of my top 3 spots for Oceanside breakfast time.
WOW! What a great breakfast! Worth a drive to Oceanside for southern-style biscuits and gravy and a huge rib eye steak with eggs (New York steak also available) Sit inside or out, comfy and kid-friendly with $2.95 mimosas made with cranberry, grapefruit or OJ (or a flight of 4 for $7.95) Great staff and huge portions.
Incredible dining experience all around! Service was absolutely top-notch, the waitress was so friendly and attentive. What really sold me, though, was the amazing experience we had while waiting! Ample seating outside in both the shade and sun AND FREE COFFEE. This place knows its stuff, lol.
And the food was amazing. We'd never tasted such well-seasoned gravy or such soft sweet biscuits. The country fried steak and eggs were was perfectly cooked, no burnt edges at all. And the blueberry pancake was to die for... soooo many blueberries.

Just what we were looking for on our way to San Diego. A diner with great food, friendly people, outdoor seating, dog friendly. I will never be able to drive by without stopping again. Stuffed hash browns is new addiction. Stuffed with bacon and avocado with 2 eggs and hollandaise over the top. I can't believe I ate the whole thing.
9 times out of 10, that's my breakfast place. I get to poke fun at Henry Gale. Biscuits and Gravy.... no wonder my cholesterol is high! Worth every point.
No matter how busy they are the staff is always nice. Service is fast and great. If the kitchen gets backed up by a couple of minutes it is worth it for the results
Cutest place in town the food was amazing I had the stuffed hash browns� and the pancakes OMG everything was perfect.
The staff was so friendly and polite.

The food is amazing and our waitress was really nice. We had The ribeye 🥩 special for breakfast 🍳 and it was great and big....
I had Don's Stuffed Hashbrowns and a Beermosa for brunch and it was delicious. Free coffee while you wait, and it is some of the best drip coffee I've had recently. Super service and one of the "hostesses" was making sure kids were entertained while waiting to sit down. Looking forward to going back.

It's always great when there is a long line of people waiting to get in the place. Turkey sausage and mushroom scramble was cooked perfectly and biscuits and gravy very tasty.
Been driving by this place for years and I've been in Oceanside since '79 and always talked a out going here and we finally did. The food was great and filling the cinnamon roll was awesomely delicious! Parking is scarce and you may have park away and hike back but the food and cinnamon rolls are worth it! The service and people working there were awesome also!
Love love love this place! The servers here are amazing and very fast service. I’ve never had to wait for a table or even for water to be topped off. And as a bonus the food is delicious! This will always be one of my favorite breakfast spots. We tried the eggs Benedict and the biscuits and gravy very yummy. Must try.
The Oklahoma breakfast is covered in country gravy. You don't have to order extra... for all the gravy lovers out there! I will return many times, I'm sure. I added chorizo only because the chorizo breakfast looked irresistible also. Due to customization options I enjoyed all on one plate.
I absolutely love this place. I forgot to take pictures of our breakfast,thats how good the food was. I ordered a very simple pancake combo. My nephew got a corned beed hash and it is a must when you come over to this place. I also enjoyed their home made fresh salsa. They have fish and chips but only on Fridays. Parking can be difficult but its worth it. The servers are very very nice as well. When it comes to pricing, I think it is pretty cheap for a nice diner. The raspberry lemonade is pretty good too.
This place is SO GOOD! I highly recommend you check it out.

Parking is a bit difficult but I'm always able to find street parking.
Service is awesome and the prices are reasonable.
Don's was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, fair prices, great service. There are only a few parking spaces in the lot so be prepared to park on the street and walk (we found parking a block away, so no problem).
This is my favorite breakfast spot in Oceanside, they're so dang good. This is definitely the place to bring a friend or family for an awesome brunch. HIGHLY recommend!
First time going to this place and it did not disappoint. Ordered the two egg breakfast with sausage patties and biscuits and gravy. The hash browns are very good and cooked perfectly brown on the outside. The biscuits and gravy was delicious. No skimping here, You get plenty of food and won't go away hungry. If you eat breakfast here, there will be no need to eat lunch because you'll be full til dinner.
