First time was in February 2007 for a cousin’s wedding reception. We returned once again on March 31st, 2018 for a 80th and 70th combined Birthday party for my Dad and Aunt. Fabulous service and wait staff. Would highly recommend anyone to check this place out.
The service was great! The view was beautiful! The food was amazing!! We had breakfast/ brunch and everyone enjoyed their food. The crab bendict was the best!
A local client recommended The Jolly Roger last week as a comfortable place to have a dinner meeting. It was perfect. So much so, that since I was traveling back to Carlsbad the next week, I quickly organized an impromptu #GuruuHangout and brought several Entrepreneurs together to network in a comfortable and inviting space. Daniel was behind the bar and made sure we all were taken care of. We will be back.
Good food and the Happy Hours is excellent. The upstairs bar staff is the best.
Best clam chowder ever. Even the bisque was great. I sampled it and really had a hard time deciding. My husband had the burger which he loved cooked perfectly to his specifications. We will definitely hit this place again!
A hidden jewel of Oceanside. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service, great view of the harbor.
Had the fish and chips. Delicious!!!! Portion was just right, not too much or too little. Would definitely recommend it.
We went there twice to eat since the majority of us liked the place.
I would recommend going here for breakfast more than dinner even though the view is lovely at sunset .
If you walk around the building to the back it's a nice way of waiting for your food by getting pictures on the dock.
Love the Jolly Roger! Sits right on the water at the harbor. Great views of waterway. Great Happy Hour Prices. Good, good food. Fish is awesome. One of my favorite places to come. Enjoy!
This is a quiet out of the way place. We went on a week night and it was pretty empty. The food was prepared quickly and served attractively. Fair portion sizes. Fair prices. Obviously the menu is themed about seafood. Worth checking out, even if you're not staying close by.
The oysters were fresh and artichoke dip was very delicious. The calamari had a great light fry and the scallops are very tender. Jolly Rodger has a great view, but seems to be very slow on business... not a lot of people. On the good side, it makes for Quick Service.

Loved this place. Found it out last night in the area. Food was great. Had the shrimp scallops and cod. Deep fried. The scallops were a bit tough but the rest was great. They have peanut coleslaw. I love Cole slaw but worried when I saw they had peanuts in it. It was so good. Nice flavor
Food was very fresh and great! Was impressed by artichoke dip and chicken Alfredo. Little pricy but worth it.
