My family has been coming here for years since I was a kid. Food is always great with beautiful ambiance and wonderful staff.
We were accommodated late in the evening and had a wonderful waitress. The clam chowder here is a more soupy/less creamy flavour than the classic, delicious in its own way! The broiled Haddock with crust was incredible. So soft and tasteful. And the lobster stuffing was delicious in the baked lobster.
Their Smashed Strawberry Lemonade and Rum Punch are both a must-have. Rum punch also comes in little bottles to take home!
Very relaxed restaurant with a view of the water. You can sit outside on the deck or inside. The Lobster roll is amazing and I highly recommend. You walk in and are given a menu then you walk down some stairs to the main dining area. There you sit and can order drinks from the employees. You have to walk back up to the kitchen counter place your order and then wait for your number. You then go pick your food up and enjoy. Simple concept and your food comes out quickly.

Best and sweetest steamers I’ve ever eaten! Cooked to order and no sand at all. Chowder was good too. Lobster roll was fresh as fresh can be and the sweetest meat with just the right amount of mayo and on a perfectly grilled roll. Lobster was cooked perfectly and partially cracked to easily get the meat out and not make a mess.
10/10 - Will be back this summer
Ps get a rum runner or two
Barnacle Billy's is a staple of every trip to Maine. Having their famous rum punch and blueberry pie a la mode for lunch is a tradition in my family.

Barnacle Billy's Original's staff was very helpful and friendly. Clearly they love working there. I had their Lobster, Clam Chowder, and grilled garlic bread. All were very tasty. We also had their "Rum Punch", which was delicious, but dangerous. I would have enjoyed some French fries, but they do not serve deep fried foods. Still I will give them 5 stars because everything they did, they did very well. This restaurant is a must if you find yourself in Ogunquit, ME.
