This is a great place for families. They recently changed the decor since I last visited...about a year ago. It's less colorful and more fitting for a college town. The kids miss those colors. The food is still good, though, and the chalkboard as a menu behind the counter is more functional for situations when they run out of certain tea flavors.

We came in with two kids less than ten minutes before closing, the staff were totally friendly, still offered us samples and were very helpful and didn’t rush us or anything. Store was clean and all the toppings were so neat and tidy. Couldn’t offer any suggestion to improve it!

I love Sugar Berry, a cool, sweet treat that one can feel good about eating because it has beneficial ingredients rather than empty calories. They normally have several flavor choices. I don’t visit often because it is on the pricey side, but great for a now & then treat.

This is my favorite frozen yogurt place in the area. The topping variety is varied and always has some fresh fruit and popping bubbles along with the more usual candies and nuts. there is usually something like taro or green tea that I particularly enjoy.

So we're writing negative reviews Neil just based off of the actual "topic" of frozen yogurt and not the business? Makes total sense. Dear Neil, you are the celery of reviews. Either post something helpful or stop trying to be witty with zero feedback.
As for my review. Comparing it to other places in other cities. I will commend this place on actually making their own Frozen Yogurt (which tastes great most of the time, depends on the flavor. Never was a fan of eggnog or brownie fudge whenever they serve it), because the places out in Grand Rapids, or other places I shall not name around the EL/Lansing area don't make their own yogurt. It just comes shipped to them. Plus, if price is an issue....it actually costs more out here in Grand Rapids. Food for thought. Its not perfect, but there's more effort put in the product here, the toppings, and keeping the place clean, than other places I've been too have tried.

Sugar Berry is very bright and clean inside. It is a self-serve, so you get your own frozen yogurt (there are about ten flavors), and your toppings, of which there are several dozen. That was the hard part, deciding what to cover the yogurt with. Coconut, Froot Loops, chocolate chips, hot fudge... on and on.
It tasted good. I'd still prefer a cone at the Tasty Twist, but Sugar Berry was good enough for a future return visit. It is a little pricey for essentially soft-serve ice cream (over $12 for three people). Part of the price is by weight, so you have some control by all the goodies you pile on top. It's hard to resist trying all the different things they offer, though.

The butter pecan was delicious! There was tons of toppings to pick, could use a couple more flavors of frozen yogurt to pick from but maybe it's just cause it was a Monday, I'll be back soon to find out though!

The frozen yogurt is great, and the service is friendly. Definitely the best shop in the area. However, this is definitely the stingiest of Sugarberries. The selection of flavors and ingredients is limited, and they don't let you sample yourself.
