I love the store inside the restaurant! The Cinnamon crunch latte was really good, I do recommend trying it! I always love getting the chicken and dumplings. I never get anything else, but I didn’t like how this time they put my side of hashbrown casserole in the bowl with the dumplings. They’ve never done that before. I don’t like them together, maybe that’s just a me thing but I don’t want parts of casserole in my bowl. I scooped it off best I could and put it on a napkin. The fried pickles were good, but closer to the end there’s too much grease in the basket to enjoy the rest of the pickles.
Really tasty food. The macaroni and cheese is my favorite. The country fried chicken tasted good even without the gravy. Legit soul food.
Also a neat little store with adorable decorations for the holiday.
I ordered the chicken and dumplings with carrots and mac and cheese. I did curbside service it wad super easy and I didn't wait long t I receive my food. Food was hot and very good. Excellent service!
This is my 2nd time eating here. Overall it was a decent experience. I'm sure each location has a similar and particular vibe. This location hosted great, family friendly vibes but the service was not the best. The server took our orders then forgot or returned with incorrect items, twice. I never received my requested water, alcohol beverage, or correct appetizer. But they were correct on my bill. That took several requests to correct as well. I chatted the server up to see if they were new and/or okay, because who hasn't had a bad day? They were seasoned & experiencing a decent day.
I LOVE the oversized fireplace!!! If you mess up pancakes, I can't trust anything on your menu. Well, this is a trustworthy menu! Drop into a CB if you get the chance. It's a whole experience...food, fun & shopping.

Food, as usual, was very good. Service was fine once it started... Was seated, asked what I wanted to drink, then 5 minutes later a server stopped by and asked if I needed anything... I was about to get up and leave. Server kept my glass full and was attentive.
Elizabeth, our waiter, is THE best waiter in OKC! The place was crazy with pre-holiday patrons, and she made us feel like we were the only people here! 10 stars. Thanks for ALL of the biscuits 😂❤️
Went on Memorial Day. Loved the "Missing Man" table set up. Much respect! Even though this place was packed and busy, we were seated in about 15 minutes (we were told 30). The waitress was attentive and the food was delicious! It did not lack just because they were busy. I was thankful for that! Kudos to all the employees for running things smoothly on a busy day!
Who doesn't like to shop the store here? Good for browsing while you wait for the table if they are busy or after you have eaten and need to walk a bit to settle your food. Store usually has some pretty unique items. It can be pricey, so I have to reign in the spending in the store.
Staff and service at this location are always great. I have been to Cracker Barrel locations in Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. All have had that consistent service and good fresh hot food. This location I have visited quite a few times and it's always been great food and pretty good prices. Portions are good. The hashbrown casserole is truly stick to your ribs good food. Everything breakfast is delicious and dinner time/lunch I recommend the fried chicken. Food here is just really good southern home cooking.

We had breakfast. It was about a 15 minute wait. The table was clean and the waitress was very nice. The food came hot and as we ordered. We were offered complimentary drinks to go. It was not too crowded with a family atmosphere. The food was delicious.
The food, service and atmosphere are consistently amazing!
Service was above average and the wait stop were very attentive. Food was brought in a timely manner and was prepared as ordered. Their menu has been completely redone.
The retail area was completely stocked with seasonal items. Check out was done from the table.

Cracker Barrel does really well on food for taste and served hot. This location was no exception as we expected. However, the only reason for four stars is that the service needed some attention. Which Briana the manager addressed.
We came in right after lunch and before dinner at the slow time of the day. The host was quick to address us and seat us. This cracker barrel has two sections with one divider. We were sitting in the last table of the row prior to the window seat and next to the divider. As we sat and looked over the menu, I noticed three waitresses, one working the row we were sat in, she had five or six tables she was serving. Another waitress working the window section and the outside wall, she had five to six tables. The third waitress working the far corner from us and seemed to have her share of tables. After watching several tables get their drinks, food and even being asked if they would need a to go box, meanwhile our drink order, or even a hello has not happened. We are patient, but there are some limits. We grabbed our menus and went to the host stand. While heading there Briana walking in the other direction on the other side of the room sees guest heading to the door with menus in hand, she immediately turned to meet us at the host station. Very attentive manager (Thanks, appreciated this). After explaining our situation, she had us seated in the other section, which we were pleased with. Our server Sid was attentive to our order and took very good care of us. If you are in Effingham and want a great meal with an awesome waitress, ask for Sid!
Now this points out there could be three different issues:
1- Host sat us at a non-service table - it had no server assigned to it.
2- The servers of the section were not working as a team to correspond with each other if they noticed someone (us) not getting attention like they should be.
3- Management (sorry Briana) not seeing the servers being sat too many tables
I would figure that Cracker Barrels like other business has more than one manager on duty at any given time.
On # 3 I pointed out "sorry Briana" however after we were sat, and our food came out we noticed Briana was at a table in the area eating. So, our hats off to a manager that stops what she is doing even if it was her break to take care of a customer. Great work Briana and Sid (our waitress). The two people that kept this from being a one-star review.
