Consistent. Good quality and fair pricing. I don't like the whole 'pay at the cash register first' thing. Has a McDonald's feel to it and I feel cheapens the experience. Best tempura in town though.
You get fast casual Japanese food at this place with a great view of the St. Anthony's Hospital campus and the Midtown roundabout. We went here for lunch on Black Friday at noon and did not have to wait in line to order. My wife got a bento box with calamari, while I got the soba noodles with seafood. "Seafood" apparently only meant shrimp today. The vegetables were colorful and tasty, and so were the noodles. The shrimp were a little bit charred from the steel grill, adding some extra flavor. It was a satisfying hot meal on a cool day. The prices are reasonable, too. We both had lunch for under $20 total.
On an adrenaline crash from a super positive visit with a friend at OU Med, starving, weak, need of immediate sustenance, we found this little gem.
Cute inside. Modern and clean but a little bit of that "kawaii." Super awesome staff, patient as we gawked at the menu, and helpful and encouraging when asked for advice.
Miso was very good - best I've had since Singapore! Clean yet musky, sharp yet smooth. I could have gone for more nori pieces.
Ended up with the sashimi platter and tobiki, masago, and ikura. All super fresh. Excellent choices on the sashimi - oldies like salmon and tuna with a couple less often choices like the smoke salmon, escolar and mackerel. Mackerel was so rich and decadent. My favorite. Everything was truck-fresh (landlocked state, don't expect fresh caught anything), and perfect coolish temperature.
Definitely enjoyed ourselves and will return in the future!
We drove several miles to try out this restaurant on a Saturday--the hours on this site are wrong. They are closed Saturday & Sunday!
Rating this as what I expect it to be according to other comments.
Excellent express style Sushi and Grill.
Pay as you come in, take a number and a table. Was there in the early lunch rush and they were buzzing.
A little light on the vegetarian options for a big city but the grilled veggie hibachi was great!
Eat here!
City not by the sea. Being from Houston and so close to fresh fish markets, I never imagined I would have the best sushi ever in OKC.
The salmon nigiri was exceptionally fresh and moist, the spicy tuna roll was a tasty treat, but the Maddie roll knocked my socks off!
The rolls all had substance and they weren't just loaded with rice. To my surprise nothing was over sauced. I couldn't have asked for a better sushi experience.
EXCEPTIONAL. I have eaten here over a dozen times. The rolls are perfect. The Tuna Sashimi and Yellowtail Sashimi are melt in your mouth delectable. I am quite fond of the Chicken Terriyaki. Mo son is partial to the Filet. Food is exceptional. Wait staff is on the spot and very polite and efficient. I have spoken to the owners and they are some of the nicest folks I have ever met. I have eaten at Saii, Nhinja, Shiki, Tokyo, and virtually every other sushi restaurant in OKC and GOGO is MUCH BETTER!!!
Wonderful Food and Family!. We love GoGo Sushi: the food and the family! Try the Luck Charm roll and Salmon Skin Salad. Great place to dine outdoors!
Always delicious! And the staff is always so nice. Love this place!
Amazing!. I went there with a friend there today for the 3rd time, and every experience has been consistent. The food is so amazing, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and suggests items when I tell them what kind of flavor profiles I am looking for. We had the special, and a few other items that were suggested since I enjoy cream cheese, and she even added cream cheese to an item for me. We sat on the patio, enjoyed some saki and tea, and had a blast. So thanks again GOGO, Vivienne the host and Leslie our server made it extra fun.
Gogo!!. We eat here quite often, nearly every week. Sushi always on point, quick, friendly service, and I love the owner- she is so sweet. They even have a special roll on file for my fiance of his own design that they keep on their special orders list under his name: "The Milo Roll" (try it, it's fantastic). Would recommend to anyone looking for quality sushi at a good price with very minimal wait time and awesome, courteous staff. Also, their fruit infused water is totally refreshing and a really nice alternative to fountain water as someone who doesn't drink soda.
I love this place. I frequent this restaurant allot. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. The staff is really friendly and the female who wears fashionably funky head scarves makes great sushi. I love them.
GoGo is consistently great sushi - a real contender for best in OKC. My favorite sushi has always been Neko, but GoGo is giving them a serious run for their money. I love that GoGo's atmosphere is nice and modern, but not as dramatic and fancy. It creates a more laid-back vibe, great for lunch, or when you're just not in the mood for a big production. The sushi itself is fantastic - you can't go wrong with the crunchy salmon. I even like the water here - it's infused with fresh fruit. Would recommend to anyone!
GreatGreat. Very nice addition to the 10th and Walker area. Fresh crisp exterior with cool clean interior (talking about the restaurant here not the sushi rolls but the rolls are ALL good) serves up all sorts of tasty goodness at very reasonable prices. Friendliest sushi chef EVAR (Lisa?) carries on engaged conversation while preparing her GoGo Goodness. Bento's can't be beat. Ordering upon entering it helps to purview the extensive online menu before your visit. With more "straight forward" nigiri than other places, a selection (or three) from an almost overwhelming number of rolls highlights a visit to GoGo. The sushi bar display case should be neater and I guess what bugged me (nit-picking here) was what appears to be a considerable amount of pre-sliced sushi portions and while I can see the efficacy of prep sushi's better sliced to order. F'N nitpicker I am.
Good. Very affordable & I've never had anything bad here. That said, I've never really gotten anything worth writing home about. They take GOGO literally here - food always comes out quick, but the hurried atmosphere is a bit of a turn-off for me. I like a relaxed meal, not an eat & run.
Excellent! Should come here :). They clearly tell you at the beginning that there are no to go orders or take home boxes. The special is a great deal and they just don't want people to abuse it. I feel that the sushi is good quality and I've eaten sushi all around okc. I like that they have a happy hour and the deal is fantastic so people shouldn't be complaining.
Ive just recently been introduced to sushi & I was pretty skeptical but I tried it at an upscale restaurant & liked it. GoGo Sushi is very close to my house & my fiancee wanted to take me out for a date night & we decided to try GoGo Sushi. Am I glad we did! They have lots of rolls to choose from & most of them sound wonderful. The ones we tried were super delicious! We will definitely be back often! They have a happy hour from 3-5 pm where you can get most of their rolls for 1/2 price. I might just go back tomorrow! You have to try it! Yum!
Really Enjoyed It. Wife and I went in on New Year's Eve (mid-afternoon) and got the Rajin Cajun, Aloha, Bella, and Jungle rolls. They were on Happy Hour special (1/2 off). I really liked the food. It's really good for the money (even if you had to pay full price, it is reasonable), but there isn't the pretentiousness of some other sushi places. Highly recommend.
Only complaint: Should really be open on the weekends.
My boyfriend and I love this place! We especially love the specials. My only complaint is that they are not open on weekends.
GOGO to GoGo. This is good sushi and hibachi. Cheap also! If you like sushi and hibachi and like to get in and out quickly, this is the place for you. GoGo has a nice patio for beers and sushi happy hour after work. Check it out!
Awesome!. Fresh, delicious. PERFECT sushi rice - that's a claim only one or two other OKC places can make. Their nightly specials make it a great deal!
The hibachi meals are HUGE.
Our new favorite around downtown.!
Very good, friendly, family run. This small, hip, family run sushi and japenese place is a great addition to midtown. Very friendly and attentive service. My son and I both really enjoyed our Bento boxes. Two thumbs up for the food, service and value. We'll be back.
Pretty good... Pretty cheap... Very friendly and helpful staff
GOGO Sushi - The right choice!. I recently moved to the Midtown area from Seattle, Washington. In the Seattle area, there is an endless supply of fresh fish, and thus you can always find damned good sushi. Being in Oklahoma for the last few months has made me question the selection.. Until I found GOGO Sushi! It's high quality stuff for half the price you find elsewhere. During lunch hours, there is usually a special on select rolls and beer. My husband and I ordered two rolls (combo and dragon), two miso soup, one side of gyoza, and two drinks, and our bill just barely went over 20 bucks. They had AWESOME customer service, they were very quick, and the food was sooooo delicious... Not to mention it's a family run store! The inside of the place is very metro and modern, it gives it a very fun feel. Would dine again. And again. And again!
My New Favorite?. Don't let the word "Express" in the name fool you into thinking this is fast food. The sushi here is fresh and high quality for certain. When you arrive, you'll find that you order at the counter and then take a number to your table. This arrangement works fine and I'm sure it helps keep things moving during the lunch rush. We tried several sushi rolls and our usual selection of nigiri sushi. Everything we had was excellent and I'd be glad to have it all again tomorrow. On my next visit I think I'll try something from the Hibachi grill or perhaps some of the noodle dishes however. With the great selection and daily specials this could turn out to be my new favorite Mid-Town restaurant.
This place is really good! The hibachi meals are so tasty! The sushi is very fresh and awesome! Nice size rolls too! Highly recommend! This is my new favorite sushi house.
Great food. Wonderfully fresh fish. Really nice atmosphere. We will be back.
Will Definitely Return. I love the atmosphere of this place. It’s fun and upbeat. I enjoy the fact that it has outdoor eating and of course enjoy sushi!!! Okay now onto the food. One word=delicious!!! The fried dumplings are the best I have ever had. The spicy super white tuna roll was awesome. The spicy calamari roll has the right amount of heat and the calamari remained crunchy and not (for a lack of better words) “mushy” inside which is delightful. The service was great, most of the places I have visited you had to wait 15-20 minutes for a refill but not at this restaurant the staff really stayed on top of their game. I will definitely re-visit this location very soon!!!
Sushi was excellent! The veggies on my kid's wok dishes were a little undercooked, but that is pretty minor and it was pretty busy after all. Definitely could have someone pull down the window shades in the early evening because that sun shining in the West facing windows was blinding and hot.
ABSOLUTELY amazing! Must come and try this place.
Been searching for affordable and amazing food like this for years and have finally found it. The service is incredible, staff is very kind and helpful. The quantity of the food is valid for the price you’re paying!
So excited to come again!
Hands down the best orange chicken with lo mein noodles that I have ever had. Seriously, you have got to try them. They had a happy hour Monday through Friday and, though I don't eat sushi, my friend says that it's delicious as well. They have a few unique pieces including one that has no fish but tempura chicken. That was actually really good. I haven't tried the pad thai that I've taken home yet but I can't imagine that it would be anything less than really really good. It's counter-service and then they clear your dishes for you. Everybody was really nice.
Good food. Friendly staff. No beer yet, but they are working on that last one.
A girlfriend and I tried this for a girls night out and it was good. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman that was very helpful. He said we could sit down then come up and order when we were ready. We went in early on a Friday evening and they were not tremendously busy. We figured out what we wanted and went back up to order. We both got two rolls of sushi that we were going to share and when the order came out it came out a roll at a time with one roll that was about 5 minutes or so later than the rest, which I thought was weird. The rolls were flavorful and we enjoyed our choices. You get your own drinks and any tableware that you might want. We were able to eat and visit without any issues. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is how the food came out and the one that took the longest was not cooked or more labor intensive, so not sure why they could not come out at the same time.
Not what I was expecting but pleasantly surprised. Service at counter was friendly and fun. Sushi Rolls were really good, ordered a seared spicy tuna roll and the big bird. Excellent! The tuna poke bowl was also great, and the ahi tuna nachos to start were awesome. The food came out fast and was much better than I expected walking in the door. I'd come here again for sure!
I've been to Sushi Moto one time prior to this visit and meant to give them 5 stars but upon my second visit it only solidified I owe them 10!
Upon entry the team is there to welcome you in and avoids that awkward letting you think and judgmental what you ordered but instead recommends rolls, asks if you prefer raw or cooked, and even helps guide you if your on the fence of some choices. Their recommendations have always been on point both times and I'm impressed with them not trying to rush you or make you feel like you should have been ready.
The food is delicious, I've had the Shrimp Shumai which was pretty good and their Octopus Salad is always refreshing
I cannot recall the rolls I had last time but pictures are as follows:
Far Left (Black Roll): Lady Love 💕 - The Lemon really delivers with that nice tangy flavor and the whole roll is definitely one of their top 5.
Center: Salmon Deluxe 🐟 - This one carried a ton of items but nothing necessarily took the show as they battled out for dominance. The eel sauce and mango sauce is what really carried it.
Right: Mango Magic 🥭- My personal favorite and I got on my first visit, delicious tempura shrimp, mango, avocado, jalapeno topped with Salmon sweet mango sauce and togerashi pepper. I'll always pick this one up when I visit.
The other photo is from my previous visit but I don't recall the rolls
The service then remains top notch, it's a take your number and they'll bring the food to you kind of place but the team will come and bus your tables and check on you to ensure everything is just right. The environment is welcoming and the food delicious, with a top notch team ensuring you have a delicious meal whats not to enjoy about Sushi Moto?
Highly recommend it and thanks for the wonderful experience!
Clean and nicely decorated. Family friendly, ADA compliant. Friendly staff and great food.
Omg this place is awesome. The customer service is excellent. I had the avocado bomb roll and it was amazing I highly recommend it.The mandarin orange chicken is the best I've ever had. We are obsessed with this place we love it.
Had takeout. Got sashimi and a roll. The roll was actually spicy( as advertised) so that made me super happy. The sashimi was not cut the way it should be, but it was flavourful. Would be 5 stars minus that detail. Miso was very delishious but had no nori so that was a little disappointing
Great visit! Quick service as well. We had the miso soup, coconut shrimp, spicy cowboy roll, and cray-z cajun (pictured). Everything was really good, definitely give it a shot.
Sushi is delish, to die for even…. Friendly service and specials. But check out the girls restroom. Why is there clear glass and a random hook on the ceiling. 😳😳😳😳😳
This place is great! I work nearby at the hospital so it’s close to grab some lunch. They have a great lunch sushi special that’s 2 rolls for $13. Never had a bad experience. Staff is always super friendly. Atmosphere is nice, relaxed and clean.
Sushi Moto is my best kept secret. It is so amazing. The food is so good, I love the great gatsby roll, fried rice, gyoza, etc. Also, the people there are always so kind. I just got my wisdom teeth removed and I had mentioned it to the girl taking my order up front, she wrote this kind message on my box and it made my whole day. My sister and I are Sushi Moto’s #1 fans!! They excede our expectations every single time.
Great "fast food" Sushi place. The service was great and friendly, our food was FAST and fresh! Decent prices too..
After losing Gogo sushi, Moto has done a great job of picking up and creating a solid location. The only downside, not everything on the menu was available yet. My first choice wasn’t available so I went with a fried rice bowl with mandarin orange chicken. A large helping of steamed broccoli and sliced carrots shine with sticky fried rice and deliciously tender chicken. I could have ordered this bowl with out the meat and still be satisfied. The fried rice was a little bland for me, but the veggies and chicken made up for it. Everything was fresh and it came out fairly fast. This is still a great work week lunch spot or a great spot to get some take out on your way home.
Best sushi around! I've been to many of okc's sushi joints, and this is hands down the best. Some restaurants are outrageously priced, with mediocre sushi, others are to cheap, with sad sushi. Gogo meets all expectations, moderately priced with outstanding sushi, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Go-Go's sushi was very delicious. something I learned is that the $12 rolls that cost much more are actually much bigger too so you do get more food when you pay more. As far as sushi goes its pretty mid-range pricing. The bathroom here was not super clean.
Gogo Sushi has become my favorite place to get sushi from. I have tried multiple rolls, the harumaki (eggrolls) and bento boxes from this place and I love everything! They are very generous with the servings and the food is delicious! Since corona, I’ve been ordering my food to go and it’s always hot and fresh whenever I receive it.
The presentation is always nice and neat, despite the fact that it’s in a to go box.
