Food is always wonderful and Bruce is a fine chef! Also, their specials are always Devine! This is my go to place for when I crave salads and pastas as well!
The food carries a lot. Went to Rococo last evening as it was on my friends “must go” places. As we entered we were a little disappointed by the ambience and the need for a remodel of the interior. That said I eat at McDonald’s so I can’t be too judgy.
The service was a tad...meh, and while that’s important to me, I’m there to eat man!
Ok let me first discuss the stuffed pork chop. This thing will take you to pork chop church and make you light a candle. The cut of the chop was perfect and it looked like they may have specially cut it there. There was no part about this pork chop I did not seriously consider attempting to eat (including the bone). As I delved ever deeper into the pork chop, each segment yielded yet another perfectly cooked experience. Someone back there knows what they’re doing. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and not TOO much leaving flavor and juice that I really loved. This on some of the grandest mashed potatoes I’ve ever had left me so grateful I ordered it.
Now let’s talk about the steak and risotto my hot girlfriend ordered. This woman knows what she likes in a steak and this scored a ten! Perfectly seared, wonderfully cooked with a perfect rendering of the fat throughout...perfect. The only thing that kept me from being envious of her plate was the above mentioned pork chop I was making slow romantic gestures toward. A top tier steak at its finest. My girlfriend hadn’t tried risotto before,....she now loves risotto. This was so expertly created that we were speaking about it when we awoke the next day. The risotto is something I could see myself ordering stand alone and devouring it in silence.
We have taken this of our “to try list” and places it solidly on our we “have to try everything on their menu” list.
Update 11/14/2018
Went back for another special date night. The New York strip is absolutely wonderful. The service this time was excellent!
Thank you Rococo!
This always feels like we're at a neighborhood restaurant in Chicago.we love sitting at the bar, served by a great bartender (who just had a baby girl) - the stir fry, salad and mushroom soup are some of our favorites. Great steaks.
Always fantastic service and food. I love the Penn location for its local flavor and atmosphere. If you have only had their crab cakes, you need to expand your tastes. One of OKC's best.
I enjoyed the restaurant and food when I visited for the first time. The server was kind and helpful also.
A little steep, but good.. I went with a friend for Sunday brunch. She had been raving about this place for months, and I did not know what to expect. Our waiter was very accommodating, and I thought the selections were very unique. There was a range of items including salad, fruit, breakfast meats, ham, turkey, omelets, waffles and more. Everything was great, but I'm not sure the food warrants a 25 dollar per person price.
Started with the Smoked Salmon Cookie, then the Ahi Poki. Both were wonderful. I had the Fish Stew for my entree and it was the best I've ever eaten! So many amazing flavors and complementing each other beautifully
Believe it: “a little island of fine dining". We've been here many times for lunch and dinner. Nice lunch options for either a business meeting or joining a friend. The location is especially convenient for a meet up with friends before going to downtown events.
The food is always great, and the staff will make sure of it. It's hard to start anywhere else but the Rococo Jumbo Lump Crab Cake! Clam chowder and salads are a respectable option if you don't want the crab cakes. My favorite dish is the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto. The steaks and pasta dishes are all enjoyable. Try the Shrimp “Fra Diavolo” if you like it spicy!
The atmosphere can be very warm and cozy. It's nice to relax by the fire on a cold day before moving to the dining table. The staff has always been knowledgeable and attentive. If you're in a hurry, let them know. Otherwise, they will let you have a nice, relaxing evening without being in your face constantly.
Rediscovering an OKC treasure. I love trying new restaurants. With all of the new eateries opening in OKC, I had not been to Rococo in some time. I was pleasantly surprised the other night when stopping by. The entire experience was wonderful. From the time we were greeted by the hostess, to the entire dining experience. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on the menu, specials for the evening and what wines to pair our selections with. The chef came from the kitchen and checked to make sure dinner was to our expectations then thanked us for coming in. After dinner, we moved to the bar for a nightcap. The bartender, Natasha, was so engaging and such a delight that we ended up missing the movie BUT it was well worth it.
I will not wait so long to revisit again. One of OKC's treasures!
A favorite!. Best crab cake in town. Owner (Bruce) and staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. This is a big league restaurant that has a nice family feel to it. Highly recommended.
Right on Target!. We were a party of 6 without a reservation. However, from the moment our first member arrived the service was impeccable! She was greeted by several of the staff and received royal treatment until the remaining members arrived. Once we were all seated we were told of the specials and were welcomed by Bruce who answered our questions about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. We enjoyed a variety of menu items, including the ‘Cookies’ ! Gotta’ love it when the French take a bit of a hit.
Thank you to all the staff who made our evening sensually satisfying in every way.
Crabcakes!. The crabcakes at Rococo are out of this world good. A lot of restaurants serve crabcakes that look more like a hockey puck or something frozen. The crabcakes at Rococo are chock full of meaty crab and other goodies. I never order them elsewhere unless I am on the coast anymore.
I also appreciate how involved in the community Bruce the owner is. The first time I met him was at a give back night at the restaurant. He loves opening the restaurant for a good cause!
Very good. Had dinner for the second time, once again another fine experience. Had the Duck and it was delightful, the server paired it with an amazing wine I've never had before but now will be on my personal list for the house. My wife had the Ivory Salmon and let me tell you, these guys know seafood! Cooked perfectly, very moist and flavorful. We started with the crab cakes of course and got the recommended Clam fritter special.. Both excellent. Thanks for the wonderful experience we shall see you again soon
“Neighborhood Gem. Often called that by critics and friends of Rococo! I can’t believe the Penn location is almost 10 years old! Famous for our Crab Cake, Seafood and more- our approach has always been “one guest at a time” and that “every guest means the world to us”! I’ve been here a lot over the past few months working with our great new chef Matt Meimerstorf, our new manger Christian and of course the lovely Tasha behind the bar for all these years! We just finished our “Remodel” getting ready for the next 10 years! All new heat & air, new paint throughout, new light fixtures throughout, new furniture, new carpet, new art work and more! Wait till you see the beautiful fish tank! Place looks and feels great! New wine list by the awesome Jackie Klein, new Bistro menu and our re-designed lunch and dinner menu on the way! I would like to thank all of those folks who have supported and shown us such love! It means the world to the entire Rococo Family! Thank you and come see us soon!
Good lunch menu. One of the few places where you can actually get a good hamburger but like many places with chefs, when you want something cooked well done they either ignore you or think you're nuts for wanting your beef with no pink inside.
Brunch is GREAT. I can only speak from experience for their brunch, but it is GREAT. I've eaten there about 5 times and always had a good visit. They have daily specials, and some of them are quite impressive.
If you're looking to try something upscale, but on a budget, try the brunch. You can try some of their swankier fare at a cheaper brunch price.
Also, don't forget to ask for their $2 brunch mimosas (they're not on the menu!!)
Best crabcake in the region by far!
Fanciest restaurant I've dined at.. I had wanted to try Rococo out for a while now, and last week my Fiance's boss gave him a gift card to the place so we finally went last night. It was so romantic. The lights were dimmed and each table was lit by candle light. There was live music too! Which I love. The overall atmosphere was amazing. The food was fantastic. We shared a crab cake for an appetiser. Best crab cake we've EVER had. The entrees were just as amazing. My spicy penne with jumbo shrimp (can't remember it's fancy name) was perfect. The shrimp was medium, which is just the way I like it. They put a decent amount of shrimp in the dish unlike some greedier places. My fiance's dish was great too. He had the chicken fettuccine carbonera. The grilled chicken in it was the best part. Very moist and flavorful. Our waiter was fantastic. Very polite and informative. It was pretty expensive, but all and all, you get what you pay for.
Good food, expensive. Expensive but mostly good. The food had a rich flavor, the drink selection is nice, but the pasta needed more spice, especially at the high prices paid. They give out prizes to ladies on lady's night, which is kind of neat I guess but I'd rather them slash prices on food.
My first dine-in at Rococo. This place has a good 'word of mouth' reputation so I was excited to eat here. Upon entering, however, I found the decor to be quite cheap in comparison to the food prices. I wonder where all of the profits are going. I can tell you that the profits are NOT going towards making the place look nicer OR towards serving more creative and unique dishes. Anyways, here is a review of what I ate there last night:
Blue Cheese Cookies - DELICIOUS!! I didn't expect them to be good, due to simply being what they were. However, they caught everyone at the table off guard. Perfect texture and flavor.
Caesar salad - I was quite bored with this. I felt like I was eating the caesar salad I would expect from a Pizza Hut, but I've had a caesar salad at PH and it was more enjoyable. The salad was $5.25.. for cheap lettuce and bland dressing, and no extra vegetables.. though it did come topped with 2 tiny slices of anchovy.
Clams - No complaints here! The broth they were served with was delicious as well.
Linguine with spinach, basil, and wild mushrooms - This was exactly what you would expect if I made this at my house, being a beginner cook. This dish was very bland.
Rigatoni Pomadoro - Yet another boring pasta dish, the only thing that jazzed it up a little would be the extra spice my friend requested. It was like a cheap spicy spaghetti with well cooked rigatoni.
Pan Roasted Filet Mignon - Ordered medium rare, this filet was cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavors and texture. The sauce was quite enjoyable as well.
Mashed potatoes - unique texture but quite bland, I enjoyed them a lot more when combined in a bite with sauce that had been drizzled over my steak
Lobster & Shrimp Risotto - I can't really give a fair review of this because I don't like lobster and I've never had risotto elsewhere. My boyfriend thought it was 'okay," however, and my coworkers SWEAR by the stuff.
NY Cheesecake - Best cheesecake I've had at a restaurant - period! Everyone at my table agreed..
White Chocolate Bread Pudding - wonderful dish! Great texture and flavoring, not the dessert you want to order if you're craving something sweet, however
Eclectic atmosphere. Visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve with friends. We had reservations and as we arrived we were quickly seated. Food was delicious, especially the crabcakes. Better than advertised! Our waiter was very attentive and made several nice suggestions as this was our first visit. Everyone tried a different dish, I had the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto. Each dish was well prepared and presented. Finished with the S'mores dessert - very tasty! Only negative was being seated just in front of the live entertainment for the night. Although the guitarists were very good, it was difficult to carry on a conversation with speakers so close. We would recommend this establishment, remembering to request seating away from the band.
The crab cake app is amazing, as well as the crab cookies. Loved the garlic bread, and the scallop and mushroom risotto was cooked perfectly. The service was mediocre for the price, and there were too many items on the menu that were "market price". I never known a restaurant to have a filet at market price. :/ otherwise, try this place. The food is amazing.
East coast oklahoma. Go for the seafood! Great drink menu to go along with all the wonderfully prepared seafood you order. Crab cake is a must. They are also known for their 'cookies.' Now do yourself a favor and take your significant other there and enjoy a romantic evening with Bruce and his staff. Hey, they've got the best piece of tail in the city!
LOVE IT!. I have been going to Rococo for a couple years now and I love every part of it! The food and service is awesome. I have never had a bad experience and will continue coming here to enjoy myself for years to come!!
Nanana. This restaurant is raising the bar for casual fine dining in oklahoma city, nothing compares with the quality of food, paired up with the amazing, non-pretentious service
Good food. I've never been so impressed with a veggie lasagna!
it also didn't hurt that the owner came out to personally ask our group how the food was.
Dinner Date. Great Service, Good food. Large menu, I guess that could be a plus and a negative. Dessert was the best part of the evening. Decor and atmosphere, to each their own. I didn't really care for it or hate it. All in all would visit again!
Good not great. We felt the food was a bit overpriced, it was good food, but not excellent. Our waiter was very friendly.
Relilable. Have been to the original at least 6-7 times. Service is reasonable good, occasionally a little on the slow side. Has large menu with most everything tried so far very good, especially the petrale sole, veal chop and always the crab cakes. Deserts could be a little more exotic but generally good. Plan on returning again soon.
I came here after reading everyone's review and I have to say that they were spot on. My wife and I love this place and will be back again, the mood and setting was very nice and romantic. When we got here the place was empty and we wee the only two inside with soft jazz in the background and top notch service to boot. A must do if you haven't been here before, this place definitely get 5 stars.
WONDERFUL. Went here on a whim with the hubby for date night. We pulled up and the location was rather shady. We got inside and were pleasantly suprised! We had the crab dip cookies as an appetizer-delicous! It was real crab meat, spicy horseradish, and served quickly. We both ordered the specials, one seafood one beef. They were both terrific. Chef Don came to our table and discussed our wine, meal, and dessert choices. Wonderful service, great atmosphere! We will be back!
Great wine and awesome seafood. My husband and I visited Rococo for the first time last weekend. What a great experience! The atmosphere was great; the wine was delicious; their seafood and pasta was great; and their brownie dessert was to die for. Our bill was $100, and it was worth every penny!
Had dinner for the first time there last Friday. It was nothing short of great. We had a dozen oysters and the crabcake for starters. Both were delish, although I like my horseradish a bit more spicy. We split a decent Argentenian red wine and for dinner We had pasta with spinach an the stuffed pork chop and a side dish of the Asian green mix...way too salty but the executive chef apologized and immediately changed the way he would prepare it next time. He was great and even bought us dessert...which was also tasty. I wish I could remember the dish names... sorry about that. I'd recommend it to anyone. Customer service was good and they had the Thunder game on andfew ppl at the bar which shows how diverse they can be without being to dressy and flashy. Our kinda place and easy to find, it wasn't busy at 830 on a Friday when we arrived. They had a small band going too, lite jazz.
We had an early Valentine's day dinner last night at Rococo. I have to say, I have no idea what the claims of poor service are about - all staff we encountered were more than friendly, and our waitress was fantastic. The food was ok to good. I wouldn't waste my money on the Caesar salad again, but the NY strip was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were to die for, and the s'more trifle was super fun and tasty. So, certainly not our favorite place (I'd take Metro any day) but it was not bad.
I LOVE ROCOCO. I have been here several times, crab cake is to die for, although it is more like a crab mound. The blue cheese cookies are delish, love the entrees, specialty drinks are great. Our family has eaten here twice while visiting & insist on going back when they return.
Delicious. Hadn't been to Rococo for several years. Went to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. Food was ridiculously good. Had fried mushroom and calamari for an appetizer and the portions were large. I orded the risoto (sp?) and it was fantastic. We ordered a "s'more inspired" desert and it was decadent. Only complaint was that the prices are a little high but I guess you get what you pay for and although they are high, I can't say that its not worth it. Good atmosphere, good service, great food! I'll be back.
One of the best in OKC!. I've eaten now at both locations. The new one is in Northpark Mall where Tommy's and Poblano's formerly were. However, the decor is Rococo's red and black and a fireplace with couches for that wine sipping time.
Both locations are great. Owner Bruce Rinehart makes sure of that. And Northpark chef, Jason Bustanmonte is fabulous with the menu.
In the past few years OKC has been adding to the number of fine restaurants in our city. I'm glad Rococo's has expanded to two locations now. This one is closer to my home.
I would highly recommend this for any occasion, including Sunday brunch which includes a "cruise type buffet."
Great food. Easily the best crab cakes in Oklahoma City. Also found some super soups that make great lunchs.
Yummy steaks. We tried Rococo's for the first time last night. Made reservations, although there was no need to since we were one of maybe 4 tables on a Wednesday night. I wonder if their new Northpark location is getting more business on week nights.
Anyhow, I ordered a caesar salad before my meal and it was good, the dressing very rich and creamy. Both my husband and ordered the same main dish, a grilled ribeye steak, cooked medium. We were amazed at how the steak almost melted in our mouths! In fact my husband declared it the best ribeye he'd ever had.
We also tried the garlic mashed potatoes for our side. Wow they were filling, extremely creamy. I personally prefer plainer mashed potatoes with butter but these were a nice treat.
Overall, it was a nice, quiet dinner. If we go back again, I'll have to try the crab cakes that everyone raves about.
Mmmm. One word for you: crabcakes.
I miss this place.... The food here is delicious and well thought out in its preparation. The chef is flexible when it comes to your order, don't be shy to change a menu item a tad. As soon as I return from my deployment this will be one of the first places I eat. Part of the great experience stems from the personable owner. He often takes the time to personally check on you, your food, and your evening.
Try the crab cakes- they really are awesome- and so is the duckling- and everything else there
Great Sunday Night. We ate at Rococo for our date night. We ordered the crab cake as our appetizer and it was the best we've had since moving to OKC. LOVED IT! Even better, my husband ordered the special for the evening, a filet with stuffed shrimp, and the shrimp was "stuffed" into the middle of another crab cake!! It was fantastic. I had the lobster and shrimp risotto. It was presented very nicely, had a lobster tail on one side, three shrimp on the other. Next time we go I think I'll go for a steak. For dessert we had the Godiva chocolate cheesecake with raspberry sauce. It was a perfect finish to our meal.
Jackie was our server for the evening, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. We used a restaurant.com gift certificate and it had no issues using it.
I like that they use locally grown produce. Everything tasted very fresh. We will recommend this to our friends, and we will definitely go back!
WONDERFUL!!. My husband and I went to Rococo last night for the first time. It was nothing short of wonderful! The service was amazing - not only did our server make us feel welcome and pampered, but the owner/chef also made multiple rounds throughout the restaurant checking on all of the guests. The atmosphere is fantastic, dimly lit and romantic while still being family-friendly. And the FOOD was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Reasonably priced and delicious. We have already made a reservation to go back next weekend!! I recommend this to anyone who wants a nice dinner out with authentic Italian or fresh seafood. We had a little of everything and enjoyed ALL of it. Also, their wine list is one of the best I've seen in the OKC area!
My new favorite restaurant in OK. Tonight my husband and I went to Rococo for the first time at the recommendation of one of his coworkers. I was excited yet a bit skeptical when I saw the sign out front saying something about East coast food. I am an east coast gal and my expectations were high. When I saw "Rhode Island Style" calamari on the menu it lit up my night. When we tasted it, I was sold! Calamari with banana peppers and jalapenos- excellent!
After going over the menu at length, we noticed that the chef was seating people. My husband approached him and asked where he was from on the east coast, he said CT. He took the time to sit with us and told us "his story" about landing in OK. He was great to talk to and checked on us a few times throughout the night. Totally impressed!
I had the veal marsala and my husband had the special, trout stuffed with a crab cake, and they were both amazing.
I would highly recommend going...so much better than Deep Fork and half the price. More laid back atmosphere as well.
Infamous Crabcakes!!. I'm a big fan of their crabcakes- always amazing!! I'm not a fan of seafood generally, but can't seem to get enough of these! I also love their mushroom soup, mushroom risotto, and mashed potatoes, I'm all about the comfort food! I like the fact that the sides are large enough to share with the entire group, that way everyone can pick something different and everyone has a chance to try it.
Great meal, service was top-notch. We loved our meal at Rococo. We were treated to the meal by our family the night before Easter and EVERYTHING that was put on the table was fabulous. We had the sea bass special, veal porterhouse, and tuna steak as well as Love Salad , goat cheese, & some "cookies". Add to that two bottles of wine and chocolate cake and what's not to love! Thanks for a superb meal.
Love it, almost takes me home!. I am from europe and moved here a few years ago. a few nights ago i had another wonderful experience at rococo. i am used to take my time and make it "an event" to go out to eat and take my time. i like it to dine all night or take my time with wine and apps and just enjoy.hard to find here!!!! rococo is the place to go. the food is always awesome... especially love the lovesalad, chicken saltimbocca and the fisherman stew is just to die for... plus they always have awesome specials every night. staff is great, always there when you need them, always check on you- but also always give you privacy!.and they dont rush you! love it! great restaurant. great food! great staff! great service! thanks rococo
Rococo is a woderful restaurant, great crabcakes. Always love the love salad. Extremely gay friendly, a very comfortable place to have a lovely dinner
Amazing Food, Outstanding Service!. 3/21/10: Sunday evening, about 8:00PM I met a group of friends for dinner at the Roc, Rococo Restaurant, and I was so impressed with our visit that I deemed it necessary to finally take the time to make an account on this site and review the place!
I have been to the Roc twice before and the food has proved to be great. What made this visit outstanding is that the service was beyond what you can expect from the fine OKC restaurants we frequent!
We ordered stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes for appetizers. Both dishes were awesome, and we'd highly recommend them. The bread; Lavash and a white traditional bread, was absolutely delicious, and while the butter was served cold and hard, the waiter quickly warmed some up for us at request! Our server never skipped a beat, I was never without water or drink and I have to admit, I am part camel!
Then entrees came with perfect timing, they were well prepared and presented. At the table there was a variety of the fish special, an Alfredo dish, some pastas, and an outstanding Meatballs with red sauce and pasta dish. Everything was outstanding, especially the meatballs dish!
Everything except the meat on the special wasn't quite right, my friend said it wasn't bad, it just wasn't to the level of the rest of the meal. One quick mention of it to the staff and they swung into action. Our waiter quickly remedied the problem. A tall blonde female manager who looked a bit like Uma Thurman came from the back and was so great. She apologized sincerely, she made a quick conversation with the group to insure that we were not only satisfied but going to visit her again soon and she took care of the dish accordingly. We were thrilled with the outcome!
The moral is, in any restaurant in any city of the world you can get some amazing and possibly not so amazing cuisine, but the staff makes the difference between an outstanding dinner experience and being gravely disappointed. Last night the staff at Rococo and the management of the establishment proved that they are truly in pursuit of being the top fine dining destination in OKC. Thanks to them all, we will be back soon!
Best of the Best. Roccoco is a unique experience with something for everybody. The chefs care about the quality of the food and it shows. Every dish I've ever had there was terrific - especially the Stuffed Pork Chop. I wish I could recreate it at home. The service is always superb. It's like eating at a friend's house and they just happen to be an award winning chef! The wine list is deep and cutting edge. Between the menu, wine list, and the specials, you can have a different and all-together excellent dining experience every time.
Delicious!. I love seafood and have been searching for a place in Oklahoma that serves good fish and chips. Rococo has it! The best fish and chips I've ever had and I'm from Virginia. We came in last Wednesday for lunch and our server,Eryn, who was great, told us the specials and Wednesday is "Wahoo Wednesday." They do a New England style fish fry and they serve a mini crabcake for only $7, so we decided to try both. The crabcake was amazing - jumbo lump blue crab meat from Maryland. The fish fry was delicious. Our plater came out full of sole, scallops and shrimp, best $20 I've spent on food in a long time.
I hate going out to lunch or dinner and spending hard earned money on so so food. Rococo has restored my faith in what a restaurant should be. We loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. We will definately be back. Next time I'm getting a bottle of wine and New York Strip and of course the crabcake!
The best crab cake ever. I went for the first time to Rococo restaurant for my 31 birthday. It was a wonderful experience. I tasted the crab cake, the best one I ever ate. I also took the special of the day, a salmon with caramelized vegetables: delicious!
I met the owner and the chef, very nice people.
I will come back soon for sure.
Mixed feelings.... Let me start off by saying the crab cakes are indeed phenomenal. The chef was very pleasant and spoke to all of the tables, which I found refreshing. Amazing bloody mary (they make their own bloody mary mix), and great mojitos. The rest of my food, however, left quite a bit to be desired. The alfredo was bland, and the salmon "cookies" were not at all to my liking...they were soggy and tasted flat. In the past I have had good experiences here, so I'll be back...if only for drinks and crab cakes.
Crab Cakes!. Rococo is a really nice place for special occasions. The service is very friendly and the chef comes out to speak with every table. The atmosphere is also really nice.
This is a really great place for seafood. The tuna and salmon are both quite good. The real star here are the crab cakes. They are absolutely delicious. Even if you don't like crab cakes give them a try, because they are unlike the normal crab paste/lump that many restaurants serve. They are chunky and have a subtle Thai undertone. Delicious.
I thought the ambiance was nice. Clean. NY strip was cooked & seasoned perfectly. Drinks were not too overly priced. Staff was pleasant. I will definitly go back
Great.. We went here with a group of friends on a weeknight. It was not crowded at all, and the restaurant had a very nice and dark atmosphere.
The food was all very good. The crab cakes are definitely the best I've ever had when not on a coast. They are made of pure lump crab meat without fillers.
I had a salmon dish, and found that if I would have ordered just my dish, I would have still been hungry. So, you really do need to order a side dish or an appetizer. Next time I think I will try one of their pasta dishes instead. They all looked very good.
Wonderful little place, but don't go if your time is limited. My co-workers and I went for lunch and enjoyed it. I think this would be a great place to go for happy hour or dinner, but for lunch we ended up being gone at least an hour and a half if not longer b/c the staff tended to be relaxed and in no hurry. The only real complaint I have is that it was an extra $5 for the salad before my meal.... that is a little pricey for a pre-lunch starter salad. I will probably return, but next time I will go for dinner when I have more time and money to spend. I definitely liked the dimly lit and relaxing atmosphere.
BEST CRAB CAKES IN OK!!!. After moving from VA, I tried the crab cakes in the best restaurants in OKC and soon came to the realization that crab cakes would be relegated to my occasional visits to the east coast. All that ended when I saw a story in the Oklahoman about the crab cakes at Rococo. They even looked right, so I decided to give them one more try. The cakes are just lovely; I am so happy to have found them!
The surprise was that everything else was just as good. Both my husband and myself had a wonderful meal and we are used to dining in renowned restaurants from San Francisco to DC and Boston. We are lucky that the owner chef has found himself in OKC and decided to make this his home. Bravo!
Good but not great..... I probably walked in under-dressed, to support a fundraiser which Rococo was donating 10% of all daily proceeds for. Very generous on their part. I was surprised right away, when although 2 staff were standing at the door, no one spoke to me. After several seconds during which they looked at me as though surely I would realize I had entered the wrong door, and wanted the Dollar Store next door, I told them I would have 2 in my party. Suddenly they began moving. The waitress was good, although she used pet names such as sweetie-pie the entire meal. My eating companion expressed she didn't want onions, and there were onions in her dish. A manager and possibly the chef moved through table to table visiting, but never came to our table. The waitress split our tickets without asking, and then got them mixed up, so we paid for the other person's meal. I could tell there were regulars, and they were getting the star treatment. The food was good, but could have had an equivalent meal elsewhere for less, and been treated better. Although the issues were minor, for a fine dining experience, i expected more.
Five Star Dining Experience. Rococo's is the most wonderful dining experience in the OKC area. The food and service are second to none and the owner is a most gracious host. We always request the "gangsta booth" in the bar area where a jazz band entertains on most weekends. This restaurant is a must for special occasions. Try the crab cake appetizers!!!
Update. Rococco's recently rolled out a new menu - and what they have now is even better than before. They carried forward a few items worth noting, one of which are the incredible crab cakes. Rumor has it that Rococco's will be moving in the near future and I hope nothing except the address changes because this is truly one of the best dining offerings in OKC.
Warm atmosphere, friendly waitstaff. Inimate atmosphere at Rococo's. Service is impeccable, and I love the crab cake appetizer and the steaks.
Superb. This is a great romantic, first date kind of restaurant. They have these amazing crab cakes, almost all crab, barely any cake. The mushroom risotto is to die for, like heaven in your mouth. Lamb, fantastic. They have these cherry tomatoes as a side dish that are very unexpected, and the acid in the tomatoes goes great with a cut of their meat. They have fresh, interesting specials and a great wine list. Take someone you love and share this place with them, you will not be disappointed
We had a great experience tonight. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and an entree to split. The service was great and the food was delicious. Try the brussle sprouts and fried mushrooms. They were awesome!
I also love the bay scallop and mushroom risotto.
Till I found this amazing establishment, I was convinced I would never find a “real” crab cake in Oklahoma. Being from Baltimore good 🦀cakes are 🦄’s in Oklahoma. I promise you will not regret giving them a try here. Have never had bad food or service. Bruce takes his passion for making amazing food and experience to the next level! 10/10. 🍽️
Everything was decent. The “cookies” appetizers were pretty good but everything was just okay. Not my favorite place but the atmosphere was very nice.
Very cute & cozy, we sat by the fire. Food was great & fresh, our server was very attentive & kept our drinks full. The fried Brussel sprouts were good but did not get a picture. I had the fish & chips, also good!
Greàt experience and vibe! We ordered the Gangsta Cookies, Lobster Mac and cheese, Blackened Chicken Mac and cheese, Baked Salmon stuffed with rococo crab cake and rice and for dessert, we were given a free Sherry's Russian Kahlua cake for a bday dessert and it was so good that we ordered another one! We also tried their freshly made to order lemonade with a mix of lavender and pineapple! It was so delicious and almost had a creamy taste with some tartness. Definitely a must try!
I believe our server was named heather she was on point did not stop. Had an amazing brunch experience. Been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Everyone needs to come here and try it out.
Such a delightful culinary experience! The ambience is sophisticated, yet warming, making it a perfect spot for both special occasions and casual dinner. They’re oysters are notably outstanding. If you’re seeking a memorable dining encounter with a hint of coastal panache, Rococo on Western should definitely be on your list!
Brunch at Rococo is a lot like any other meal at Rococo - exceptional! We tried the Rhode Island style calamari, shrimp & grits, and a couple different benedicts, and they were all incredibly tasty. Both the kahlua cake and the chocolate mousse were also really good. If you’ve never been to Rococo, take this as your sign to make a reservation!
Absolutely amazing experience. Went for my birthday and was presented with a birthday card signed by multiple team members. Great vibes. The salmon stuffed with a crab cake...chef's kiss. I can't stop thinking about it! I wish I could remember our server's name, but she added so much fun to the night.
Enjoyed my first ever lunch at Rococo this week. Loved the atmosphere and the blue booths! This place would be great for date night! The blue cheese cookie and salmon cookies were unexpectedly yummy. It was a very hard decision on what to order but I was super pleased with my Swordfish sandwich, no breading on the fish at all and the thin bun was just right to not over power the fish. So good! Our waitress took such good care of us! Loved it.
