The service at this cafe was everything I expected and hoped it would be. The wait staff was courteous and kept our drinks full. We all ordered the same things eggs, bacon and waffles. It came out quickly and was great. You really can't mess up breakfast. This is a great little place to conduct meetings. The prices are more than fair and the atmosphere is what you'd expect.

Sometimes a place surprises you and you feel bad for having low expectations. The location and interior made me think i made a mistake. However, the staff was awesome right off the bat and quick to get my order. The food was timely and who ever they got back there cooking is really good. The Cakes were delicious, the bacon was crispy, and the eggs were perfectly over easy. This is a great local diner spot that is hidden between a comics store and a tattoo parlor. I will have to go back and try their famous omelettes.
Cameron Miller
It is very simple inside and out, but the chef has a couple innovative dishes, and of course the breakfast staple dishes. Everything I saw come out looked awesome. The food I had which was the crab Louie omelet which tasted awesome. It was a good mixture of normal omelet mixed with crab which had a nice twist. I would recommend going if you are hesr by. It's busy, but worth it.
Bruce Bailey
Awesome diner waitress was very friendly. Food was amazing!! Will definitely go again and bring the family.
Tom
I have driven by many times over the years but had not stopped to check it out until yesterday. The food all came out fresh and everyone was happy with their meal. We will definitely start visiting more frequently! The Manhattan sandwich was fantastic as was the bbq burger.
Woody Huffines (Owner's Voyage)
What a great brunch choice! The coffee was wonderful and plentiful. The Crab Louie omelette perfect. The chicken fried steak was solid. The service was SUPERLATIVE.

I love trying local businesses when I'm away from home. This one did not disappoint. I had the Colossal omelet and it was, well....colossal. Both of my children are all their yummy food as well and my husband was more than pleased. Very quaint and 'homey' feel, but more than anything their food was delicious.
JK
Great customer service, and great presentation on a plate. The food is fantastic, from an omelet to eggs and bacon. This place cares about their patrons. Best French toast in the city, imo
Raychell Burrus
I had never been to Joey's cafe. I really enjoyed the food. I had the Manhattan and fries. It was so good! The service was great, and she was very friendly. Also, great value for what you get.
Mark Rathgeber
Good food, decor a little tired, but the food makes up for it. I had "Egg Crab Louie," an eggs Benedict with crab cake, VERY good. Dear wife had blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon, and she was pleased. This was on Columbus Day, about 9:30, which was very slow, but service was excellent, no dirty tables, very clean. Very nice staff. Food is 5-star; decor, furnishings, etc 4-star. We'll be back.

I've been going to this location for about 10 yrs now... Always order the colossal with fried potatoes, pancakes and side grits and they never let me down!!!
Darrell Epperson
Small local business with great service and a small town feel. Definitely a place to stop by and try for breakfast if you are in the area or passing through.

Was looking for a diner near Costco and we came across Joey's and we were very pleased with the service and food ! They also have a pretty great menu as well and definitely recommend this to anyone
Anthony R
Really great food overall. I think they need to bring on an extra server cause they were definitely overloaded, but good experience in general.
PS went back a second and third time since first post by far best breakfast place in OKC for price and quality.

The Cafe was quite and peaceful. I was definitely the youngest person in there. A lot of middle ages children taking thier elderly parents to lunch. It made for a nice peaceful place to sit and eat. I would recommend this place for people who like to chill and read a book with a cup of coffee. The server seemed unenthusiastic about her job but she also seemed near retirement herself so I imagine this is to be expected. The food (I ordered a omelet that came loaded with 5 different meats and cheese) was well made and I had no complaints at all. It was delicious while still having a home cooked feel to it. Over all I will give them 5 starts for creating a small town feel in the middle of a big city. Thank you Joey's for a wonderful breakfast.

After a recent morning doctor’s appointment, my wife and I headed to Joey’s Cafe for breakfast. It was cute and cozy inside and the food was delicious.

A Hidden Gem!! Don't let the modest location and decor fool you- Joey's is not to be missed! The staff is always attentive and friendly. The food is perfectly cooked and served up in generous, freshly prepared portions. The pancakes are fluffy and light.
I love the homemade chicken sausage patties. The fresh fruit garnishes on each plate are a sweet and thoughtful surprise. My new favorite American cafe/breakfast spot in OKC!

Wow! This little cafe blew me away. Don’t judge it from the outside…the food was perfect and the waitress was pure joy. Crab cake Benedict 💜

My wife and I just enjoyed another, nearly perfect, Sunday morning breakfast/brunch at Joey's Café. The food was excellent, the service sublime and the atmosphere casual in the best sense of that term. We will definitely be back in the near future. This place is a hidden gem and the recent positive write-up in The Oklahoma Gazette simply validated our "pre-conceived notion" of Joey's Cafe. Thanks to ALL of the folks at Joey's who make it remarkable.

I've been eating here for years. The last three weekends we have eaten here, our food had issues with not being correct. This time we addressed it and it was like pulling teeth with the owner to make it right. We ordered a Western Omelette (Ham, bell peppers, onions & cheddar). The first one was just cheese, the second one had raw veggies, no ham. My food was awesome as usual, I just realized the service is not so great. I'm gonna have to say, this place was not built for the customer, just for the owners to not make things right and make money. I will make sure & not go here for a while. We come here every weekend for at least 5 yrs, all because of one visit, I will lay off this place for a while.
Jan Carney Thompson-Ritz
It's fabulous! Food, service & everyone is great! Nice atmosphere to visit without the loud music. Can actually have a conversation!
Emily Carter
I love Joey's! Great place to eat with family or friends. The food is fresh and delicious!
Harold Jordan
Very good food made anyway you want it, I ordered a 4 egg omelet from the 3 egg menu it was very good, and worth the extra cost, service was great
Jamie Portell
Like most of the other post on here... service and food has gone down hill!!!!
My family ate here every weekend.... but no more, can only give a place so many chances to fix issues!
Harold Merlin Stebbins
Food is excellent. Very busy but worth it if you have to wait. Nobody waited over 15 minutes.
Joshua Kahoe
I had the Egg Crab Louie which is two English muffin halves, each with a crab cake on them, topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise sauce and it came with home fried potatoes. Absolutely amazing breakfast for just 8.50 + tax. Will definitely be going back!
Sydney Stanley
My friend and I like to come here for brunch in Saturdays. I love Joey's twist on traditional breakfast. Their omelets are amazing!
Carolyn Sims
My favorite breakfast place in Oklahoma City. Try their homemade chicken sausage - delicious!

Great breakfast . It was my 1st time . It will not be my last . Service was great as well .
Tom Mattax
I have eaten here numerous times, never had a bad experience. Great food, great service.
Melanie Jan
Food was average, but our waitress was awful. When there was some confusion about why the bill reflected food we did not order, she refused to fix the bill and instead snatched it away. She started loudly saying that she would just pay for the bill herself and called us rude. She created a huge scene. She wouldn't give the bill back, so we put money on the table and left, but we won't be back. From reading other reviews on Yelp and Google, it seems that the manager (who is married to the owner) also models rude behavior, so it's apparently something that is encouraged in the wait staff as well. I attempted to call to speak to her anyway but no one ever answered the phone.
Carolyn Allen Siegfried
I really enjoyed my food at Joey's, it was prepared and served in a timely manner.
Jerra Alexandra
Didn't even get a chance to eat because I was never waited on. Terrible customer service!
Jay K. Potesta
Very good breakfast. Never had an omelette with Italian sausage & pepperoni. OUTSTANDING! Very friendly & attentive service.
Wes Sowell
Fantastic food and friendly service! Love the small town cafe feel!
Teresa
We've been waiting for over 30 min for our food. Our server is just now checking on it since I pointed out 3 different tables seated after us that got their order already. Haven't tasted the food, but I'm disappointed in the service. Not what I'd expect from a restaurant associated with the awesome Michael's Grill.
First time here...not a good impression.
Colin Tuttle
Solid little breakfast place. A step above your Jimmy's Egg which is my go-to place on the rare times I have breakfast in town. Portions are large, not the huge amount that you shouldn't be eating anyway, and the ingredients seemed to be of a little higher quality than most places in town. Service was fine and they never made me feel rushed despite the fact there was quite a line waiting to get in.

Overall worth a stop, as more than likely you have whizzed past this place when going down May Avenue. It always nice to go to a real place rather than one of the pre-fab franchises that seem to overpopulate Oklahoma.
Matt
Eggs Cordon Blue & Cinnamon Roll!!!!
Very good. Can't wait to go back. Tea and coffee was great. Service was outstanding.
I'll get pancakes next time.
Drew Davis
Boom! Chicken fried steak and eggs hit the spot every time!! Good home cookin venue that's for sure! Only open for the breakfast crowd but definitely worth it if your up!!

Paint splattered glasses and dust bunnies. At breakfast this morning, our coffee cups and water cups had black specks on them that I could scratch off. We asked our waitress what the specks were. She said that they painted the ceiling and did not cover the glasses. Then she walked away. I was shocked that 1) she told us that and 2) that she didn't offer to bring us clean ones. I guess I don't understand if you know your glasses have paint on them, why you wouldn't scrub it off or replace. The walls are caked with dust. It's actually quite disgusting. Service was slow. However that was due to the fact that there were only four servers on the floor. Granted, someone may have called in. Running a six table section does not allow for quality service if that is their usual number of staff on the floor. On to the food. It was lukewarm. Not good, not bad either. Subpar at best. With all of this factored in, we won't be returning. If the front of the house is that filthy, I can't imagine what the kitchen must look like. No thank you!

Great breakfast spot. When I go to my favorite breakfast places, I typically get the same one or two entrees. A lot of times, that's because I'm afraid whatever new dish I try won't be as good as my usual. But at Joey's, I'm not afraid to try anything new. French toast, omelets, salmon and eggs, whatever. Each dish I've tried has been as good as or better than the last. I wish I didn't live so far away, but it's still worth the drive. And one of the best parts is that, even when we go on a Sunday morning, I know I won't have to wait more than 15 minutes or so.

Best kept secret in The Village. I've yet to have anything I didn't thoroughly enjoy at Joey's, whether breakfast or lunch. This morning was eggs cordon bleu, and delicious. Great service, and very timely.
Chris Lambert
Stumbled on this place while looking for breakfast, and decided to give it a try. I had been eyeing the Eggs Louie, so when the waitress recommended it, my choice was made. I was very pleased. The crab cakes were large and perfectly cooked, and the basil hollandaise was exactly what this dish needed. The service was excellent. I'll definitely be back.
JP
Great neighborhood cafe. Tried for first time and very pleasantly surprised with friendly service, good food and good prices. Clean dining room, good atmosphere and pleasant surrounding. I will return again!!!!! :-)
Dinner's Ready
Slow breakfast. We waited over 30 min. for our meal. The order was not cooked correctly. Our waitress did what she could under the circumstances. The kitchen needs to bring its A game, because there are a lot of places to get breakfast in that neighborhood.
Mary
The food was good, i really liked the crab cake omelet and the fried potatoes were excellent! The service was friendly but very slow, i wouldn't come at busy time. Not sure if it was the waitress or the kitchen.... we will b back
Jayres125
I was a first time customer and I left very satisfied. I was expecting a jimmy egg type menu but was pleased to see entrees with salmon and crab meat. I also liked that they use organic coffee. My omelet was delicious and filled with fresh vegetables and yummy mozzarella. The country potatoes were also very tasty. I had to take my pancakes home because I had no room at all. Great meal for only 12.50! Service was a tad lacking but they were pretty busy.
Drew F
Fresh, atypical omelets, great service and reasonable pricing. burgers are great too!

I'd been wanting to revisit Joey's for some time now (had been several years ago when we lived in the area and since we moved, wanted to come back for what I remember as very yummy breakfast) and the other day, it finally worked out for us to be in the area and I was excited to come back and had talked it up so much that my daughter was also excited. My daughter and I went in, the restaurant had only a few people seated which surprised me since in the past it had always been very busy.

Once seated, we noticed it was silent in the restaurant - no music, no conversation, no ambiance whatsoever - in fact, to have a conversation, we had to whisper to not be overheard. The walls were stark white and there was an attempt at faux brick stamping around the bottom of the walls. Our waitress was very sweet and took care of us right away. My daughter ordered the Burger and Fries and I ordered the Eggs Cordon Bleu & a Cinnamon Roll. We got the food very quickly and we dug in. The burger was terrible - the Top Bun was rock hard and the Bottom bun was soggy; the patty had zero seasoning and was seriously overcooked and dry. The bbq sauce had little real flavor and the shredded cheese was not melted and just clumped up on the burger - the cheese also smelled a little "off." The fries were inedible and tasted of freezer burn. The side garnish of the Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Pickles looked as if it had been prepared and then sat out overnight on the counter - the cut onion was dried up and white on all the edges. Literally disgusting. The Eggs in the Cordon Bleu were over cooked, like hardboiled - I told the waitress - she offered to take the plate and make another and I told her, "No,Thank you, but if they just make a couple of poached eggs that'd be fine." (as we were a little crunched on time). As I started eating it, the menu said it was a "Freshly Baked Croissant" and I can assure you it was not freshly baked by them or anybody else, it was on the stale side and the bottom part was soggy and rubbery. When I received the second set of eggs I was so grossed out by the fake Hollandaise and the smell of the cheese (seemed off), that I only ate the potatoes (which were very good and I could tell that it was the only freshly prepared item on either of our plates). The Cinnamon Roll was just mediocre - it was $3.50, which I thought was pricey for what was served. Certainly was not made fresh there, was a pre-purchased item no doubt.

I got up to go to the restroom (which was not clean by the way) and while I was gone the waitress asked my daughter if she wanted a box, she said, "No, Thank you." When I returned, the waitress came back with the ticket and asked if we were sure that we didn't want boxes (both of our plates were FULL). At that point, I just decided to let her know that the food was inedible. I explained all of the above and she said that the burger was the first one that day and I asked her, "As a regular person, not being defensive or anything, to just look at the garnish and see that it is old and stale." She said she was sorry. I told her that it is clearly not her fault and that I planned on paying the bill, it wasn't about that, I just thought they might want to know for whatever it's worth. I had hoped to have enough cash to pay the bill and give her a tip so we could just leave, but all I had was larger bills.

The waitress went right to the back and all the employees (and the woman I'm assuming was the manager) gathered around and we could see that she was telling them about what was said. She came back with the change, apologized again and I again told her it wasn't a problem and left her a $10. tip on a $30ish tab - I wanted her to know she did a decent job and it wasn't personal towards her. We sat there for a bit longer and gathered our things and at no point did the Manager come up and address anything - which leads me to believe they don't care about the quality of the food they serve and they don't care if we were pleased or not. I'm sure like most places going downhill, they blame the customer and give all kinds of reasons that we must just be picky and just trying to be a pain in the a**. (We actually left there and went and ate at Sonic)

Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this restaurant. It's sad because at one point, the food was very good and everything about it now screams, "Restaurant Impossible Candidate," which in my opinion, would be the best thing that could happen to them.
JRP
Surprised. Stopped in for breakfast forget about the restaurant because of the location. Had philly steak omelet and eggs florentine. Food was very good and will definitely return in the future.

Sucked big time!!!!!

Local, small town feel Resturant with the best pancakes in town!

My husband and I ended up at this restaurant quite by happenstance a couple of years ago. The restaurant has a comfortable ambiance and pleasant decor. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and chicken sausage, yes chicken. When my breakfast was served, I will tell you, I was quite disappointed. I saw a sprinkling of blueberries on top; I thought that was the extent of the blueberries.... Wrong!! Inside my pancakes were lots and lots of juicy blueberries! I was in blueberry heaven! By habit, I am certain I requested my syrup to be warmed and warm it was! I, too, have never understood room temperature syrup on nice, hot pancakes. My chicken sausage was tasty, albeit with very different spices than in your typical pork sausage. A little dry, maybe, but tasty! My husband always has eggs of some sort and pork sausage and always enjoys them. Their biscuits and gravy hit the spot. The one menu item we haven't enjoyed is their English muffin, my husband's favorite breakfast bread. It has always been served to him crispy ALL the way through, not crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, downright crunchy. He sent it back on one visit with little improvement. I would suggest just steering clear of their English muffins, a suggestion my husband can't seem to take. Go figure. Ah well, hope springs eternal. The waitstaff is friendly and mostly efficient.

The colossal omelet is the best. Always good food.

DO NOT EAT HERE!. The service at this place is below sub-par, to say the least! To start off: our waitress, who kept claiming that she was "new," had to be reminded several times for things that we had asked for upon arrival. She seemed to have trouble remembering simple things, like bringing us straws after we asked for them THREE TIMES (it took us about 50 minutes to finally get them). Personally, I think that she was either hungover or strung out on drugs...who knows. The food was...ok. One of my friends found a hair in her salad, and another friend's coffee was sent back once for being cold, and came back STILL cold, at which point she took it to the kitchen and had it microwaved. Somehow, both of those coffees - and then another three more coffees - appeared randomly on all of our receipts, even though only two of the five of us ordered a coffee. When we brought up these issues to the manager of the restaurant, she seemed upset and very defensive. Instead of compensating us for the horrible service we received, she proceeded to argue with us - exclaiming that we were trying to eat for free, and that we would be charged for the barely eaten salad and the extra coffee. She caused a huge scene in the restaurant, yelling at all of us to get out, which was quite embarrassing, considering that the place was packed at this point.
We ended up paying for everything and then leaving, while the manager yelled that we were never welcome back, and the whole restaurant watched. The waitress never offered any kind of apology, either. Needless to say, I will never return to this dump of a place, and I do not recommend it to you OR your worst enemies.

Very nice breakfast.. Had the cobb omelet and hubby had the french toast. He fancies himself a french toast expert, and says Joey's was super good. I usually put ketchup on my omelet, but it tasted wonderful without any. Sliced fresh fruit and english muffin for me. Sausage patty expert (hubby again) gave a thumbs up to the sausage patty. Pretty far from MWC, but we'll be back.

Eggs Benidict. Eggs Benedict was very good. They close to early
Food Is My Love Language
Good food, but not spectacular. We Went late on a Sunday, and the place was packed.
Enjoyed the blueberry pancakes, but for $7 they should come with eggs and sides. Instead, $8 got us a couple of pancakes- the 2 scrambled eggs were an extra $3.

The eggs Benedict was good, but the eggs were over-poached.

Comfortable environment and lovely service, but slightly overpriced for the amount/quality of food. We waited a long time for our food, which could be the reason for the overcooked eggs- but would be willing to try again if I was nearby and hungry.

Terrible Management and Food!. To get a waffle in place of your pancakes that are included in the meal, this restaurant charges you the full price for the waffle, which is right at $7.00. Had I gone to Ihop, First Watch, Jimmy's Egg or any other family restaurant they vwould have done an up charge for right at $2.00. If the waffle would have been good or even hot I may not have been so upset! But it was hard and cold. I was there with 3 other people at my table. For 4 drinks and 4 breakfasts, our bill was almost $62.00! When I asked to speak to a manager, my terrible server just happened to be the manager. When I addressed my concerns over the price of the bill and service, she was mean and rude! Talking loudly to me and embarrassing me in front of the entire restaurant. This upset the people I was with so one of them went back in and we asked to speak to the owner, guess who? Yes! The terrible server! Along with Joey himself who appeared to be the woman's husband. Guess what he tells me?? God will work everything out! Are you serious is all that came to mind! It is my hope God will guide them in better serving the needs of the customers they are rude to and over-charging!! I wouldn't mind paying paying a $100 for my breakfast if it were in a clean establishment, had great food and great service. After all, isn't this industry based on hospitality???
Gloria L
BreAkfast today - crabcakes were mushy & had horrible flavor, waitress wmas either very inexperienced or just having a bad morning.
JD
I had Eggs Benedict and it was perfect. I'll come back for more.

Love It!. Joey's isn't a fine dining restaurant - it's cute but not fancy. Joey's IS a great place to have breakfast and lunch and the service is almost always wonderful. The salads are superior, the sandwiches and burgers are very yummy, and the breakfast items are great! It looks clean and they seem to take pride in their food and service. If you are looking for a quiet little place to have breakfast/lunch, Joey's is the place to go!
Jake Green
The wait staff does a good job and works together to make sure the customers are taken care of. The food was well below average. It's never a good sign when your meal comes out less than three minutes after you order. My meal was just barely warm. It tasted like it was made well before I even sat down. Question; why do so many restaurants not serve hot syrup with pancakes, waffles, and french toast? It just doesn't make sense to me to put cold syrup on something that is supposed to be served hot. Anyways, I tip based on service so I tipped accordingly, but after tip my bill was thirteen dollars. The meal wasn't even close to being worth that. It wasn't even worth the gas I used to drive three miles to the place. I love a good hot breakfast on a Saturday morning, but I wouldn't eat a meal from here again if they cooked it in my own kitchen. It's just that bad. They were pretty busy and the place has a lot of positive reviews. That is why I just don't understand how I could have had such a bad meal.
Katie Thurmon
Good. I ordered the Very Berry Waffles.
There wasn't anything spectacular with my dish or any of the other dishes that were ordered by my friends.
Just a nice place to chill with people. nice home-cooked meals that have good prices.

Joey"s in Okla City on May. My daughter and I ate there the day after Christmas.Good service and great food.We came back few days later with more family members we had agood service and really great food once again. We will come again when we are back in town.

Disappointed. First off, let me begin by saying that both my husband and I are reasonable, friendly people who are fairly forgiving and are not the type who flip out just because they didn't receive European royalty-style service.

We visited Joey's on a Saturday around noon after reading mostly positive reviews on Urbanspoon and drooling over multiple items on their online menu. I was in a mood for crab cake eggs benedict and my husband was craving a fresh turkey sandwich with veggies. Sounds pretty simple, especially when the things we are asking for are on Joey's menu. It was pretty much empty when we walked in.

Warning sign #1: (really) sticky wooden chair. Not sure what was making it so sticky!

Their food tasted very processed and the crab cake on the benedict was *incredibly* salty. It was like it was 99% parmesan cheese fillers and 1% crab. The turkey on my husband's sandwich also tasted extremely salty and processed. The cheese on his sandwich was way too greasy for a "California" style sandwich.

The waitress seemed really tired and like she really didn't want to be there, even though we are really easygoing, low-maintenance diners.

This was a real disappointment and we will definitely not be going back! If we want yummy brunch-style food we will go to Cafe 501 instead.

Ordered the chef's special and tomato bisque. Mediteranean pasta with tomato cream sauce. The pasta sauce was the tomato bisque and the chicken was flavorless. My husbands burger was ordered medium and arrived well done. Service was slow.

Awesome. My husband and I went there for breakfast. I had the Eggs Benedict--Florentine style. (the chef was happy to change it to make it how I liked it. My husband had the French toast. He said it was the best. The only problem I saw were many un-bused tables and my eggs were a little too done. But over all it was great, especially with the from scratch Hollandaise sauce!
Mike Lepak
Arrived 145 pm. Ordered walnut chicken with soup. Service and food great
Jay H.
Had a great Breakfast last Sunday AM. Would definitely recommend an omelette. The ingredients were cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the french toast. Service was great, as the place was packed. Even saw a local radio celeb having breakfast. Will be back!
Patrick
Went to breakfast around 11 on Sunday based on online reviews and was very disappointed. The menu was typical of any cafe menu, nothing special. We ordered breakfast and tried to get one of the meals with a piece of French toast instead of a pancake and was told that was not possible. We offered to pay more for the substiution and were told that was not and option. I then got the french toast with one scrambled egg on the side. The french toast was soggy in the middle and was not very tasty. My fiancé got the eggs with ham steak and said the ham was good but the rest was mediocre. The service was slow and not very friendly We will not be back.
CauseI'mAwesome
Good for Breakfast. I have eaten here a few times, always for breakfast. I find the service to be average for the price, but the food to be a good value. Really well prepared eggs, excellent "orange Hollandaise" sauce, from scratch corned beef hash, and the fruit is always fresh. For about the same price as Denny's or IHOP you can get a much better meal without the noise and filth.
Alex Golimbievsky
Hidden Gem. I hadn't even heard of Joey's cafe until I stumbled upon it here on Urban Spoon. The interior is simple, but quiet and comfortable. The service was immediate and consistently good.

I tried their special of the day, which was just stellar. It was roast chicken and pork chops with a grape/cranberry/strawberry sauce, fresh mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables and toast. Everything was piping hot and made with care. The chicken and pork chops were cooked perfectly! The sauce was a bit on the sweet side for me, but provided a great balance for the meal. The mashed potatoes were left with medium sized pieces of potato, which I loved and the steamed vegetables weren't saturated with butter sauce, like so many restaurants mistakenly do.

The meal was great and very filling for $10. This is definitely a place I will be back for. Next time I will try their breakfast!
Micheal Alexander
Fantastic food! My favorite place in OkC for breakfast!
Gardettofan
AMAZING! I had the cheddar jack ciabatta sandwich and my wife had a grilled chicken salad. Everything was very fresh and the presentation was something you would expect in a food magazine. Our only advice is to not order a soda (1.99) and you can have a meal for 2 with tip for around 20 bucks. Not too bad for the quality of the food.
Nancy
LOVE IT!. My family and I found it close to where we live and we have never been disappointed with it. The ONLY negative I have is they aren't open for dinner, otherwise we would eat there even more than we do now. Food is abundant and delicious and the staff are always so friendly, you feel like you are in an old fashioned diner. Everyone in my family has a favorite dish. Highly recommend it for good home cooking. Delish!
Cindy
Excellent Cafe. My husband and I were looking for someplace different for breakfast and we decided to try Joey's Cafe. We were pleasantly surprised - even though my portion of ham was small, my husband had the Eggs Cordon Bleu, the portion was generous and he said it was excellent. I highly recommend Joey's Cafe.

Breakfast at Joey's Cafe. My wife, I, and the kids were getting tired of Sunday breakfast at the same old place. Found Joey's in the Urban Spoon and went there this morning. Fantastic! The food and service were excellent. I was full before I was able to finish my meal, the sizes are large. I had an omlet with all kinds of meat and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is good. We must have arrived at just the right time, because as soon as we ordered the place filled up. We will definitely go back.
Suddenly_Susan
Terrible!!!!!!. I was hoping to meet a friend for lunch at Casino De Mino, but found that it was closed. So we ended up at Joey's Cafe. We walked in, and waited by the "hostess stand" for over 5 minutes without being acknowledged at all. We finally asked a customer sitting near the entrance if we seated ourselves (there was NO sign), and she said, "Yes". After another 5 minutes or so of being ignored, we finally received menus. I ordered a pasta dish that was on special ($9.99), and she said it came with a salad. I asked her if I could get caesar salad and she said, "yes." The salad was very simple, and plain. The pasta was overcooked, and the grilled chicken was probably made 2 days ago that came on top. I got my check and with a water and my food it was $11.91. It might sound cheap, but there was a $1 for the ceasar salad (instead of regular salad) and I asked the waitress to please remove it. She agreed. Then someone whom I assume is an owner/manager came over and said RUDELY, "We're not taking it off. It was ON the menu.....just wanted to explain." Wow. I've never in my life had such HORRIBLE food or service!!!! Will not be back.

Likes It!. A friend recommended Joey's, otherwise I don't think I would have found it. My son and I had lunch. He said his burger was "tasty" and my salisbury steak with mashed potatoes was very good. It came with French onion soup, which was delicious. The food is good, the servings are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Next time I will try breakfast, which is served from 7-3.

Can't get over the ambiance or lack there of.... Food was ok, but the actual feeling you get when you walk in the door. Just not right.

Had the basic pancakes and eggs. Everything done just right, including specific instructions on the bacon. Pancakes a little tough; perhaps mixed too long. Great service, and well-prepared food. Nice breakfast option for NWOKC.

Lovin' their breakfast and service. Nice surprise.

Excellent breakfast! The Cinco De Cheeseo Omelette was wonderful, and the kids loved their pancakes and waffle.

Breakfast well done here. Had eggs Benedict and they were very good. Not on a par with Brennans but really good.

Best Kept Secret in OKC. My friend and I ordered from the lunch menu; it was wonderful! The price, the service, the presentation (like a 5 Star Restaurant) and not to mention the atmosphere were all an excellent experience. By far one of the best kept secrets in Oklahoma City and we'll be going back soon and taking more friends with us!

Breakfast. Went this morning and loved it. They have some great breakfast selections and the service was good too.

We’ve passed Joeys many times, but they close at 1500 and we seem to pass in the evening. We hit them for a late lunch last Saturday. We got there around 1230. Raegan started with some vegetable soup that was pretty good, and went on to a HUGE chicken cobb salad. It was seemingly endless. Erin and Ian got cheeseburgers; I tried a bite of Erins and it was very good. I got a pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and a salad; this was EXCELLENT. That pot roast had full beef flavor, and was a perfect medium, with a rich brown gravy. The mashers were prefect as well. The pot roast also came with some steamed side veg. The carrots and broccoli needed to be steamed a bit more. Service was right on the money. The iced tea was very good. Our check was $48.40, which I think is pretty decent value. I’d like to try this place again.
