Food is just so so and taco sauce is runny ( kinda on the weak-side) apparently trying to save money and cutting corners by not using quality ingredients as well as being a bit pricey for bland food. Cash only,no restroom....
They should name it bargain basement food.

Sarah Stone you must just not like good food because this place is aaamazing! Its not a sit down place and its prices reflect that it is a nice take out Mexican food with the best burritos, tacos and taco sauce hands down! I would much rather stop in here and support a local business and get fresh ingredients than stop at Taco Bell for the cheap imitation stuff and deal with some young person that can't even get my order right! If you haven't stopped in here you are missing out!! Thanks for walking out Sarah that just means more for me!
3 crispy tacos and 1 combo burrito with no sauce. the size and taste is well worth the cost. best thing is to call ahead and pick up your order.
Just got a beef sancho. Yumm!! I would have given them a 4 rating, but the sancho was cold from the sour cream. Still a yummy sancho. It's a greasy dive, with mainly call-in orders. There is no place to sit and eat, but your car works nicely. So glad I was introduced to it today!

I love this place! I always thought the burritos should get top billing tho. In my opinion the combination burrito is the starof the menu! Delicious! Their burrito is like no other anywhere. It is so good it doesn't even gave to pretend that it's something that it's not. It's not "authentic Mexican" and it's not Tex-Mex. It's some kind of wonderful Oklahoma food that you will always want once you taste it! Their flat nachos are so so very good. Not like any thing called a nacho anywhere else, but trust me. You should get one. Their salsa makes you want to drink it. I hate to sound old, but I have loved Los Tacos since I discovered the original place on sw 44th back in the early 70's when you walked up to the window to order, went back to your car to listen to your am radio and they would wave at you when it was ready. I hope the next generation of the family will continue with this business and stay with the original recipes. It would be a sad world with no Los Tacos.
One of the few places that are worth stopping to get cash on the way to be able to eat there!
I've lived down the road from here for years and always saw it driving by. At first look from the parking lot.. It is a hole in the wall, which is why ii never went in.
An acquaintance of mine told me about the place abd said I should go.
I had 2 hard beef tacos, 2 soft chic tacos.
I almost bought 4 more! Delicious! Going back tomorrow!

I really like Los Tacos! The food is good with just one thing that I would beg the powers that be...please change the shredded cheese! I love the burritos, big bang for the buck! A lot of flavor and great textures going on but the cheese seems to be that kind of cheese that has been pre-shredded and has that cornstarch on it but it will not melt! I love cheese, can eat good cheese five times a dayl! My burrito was piping hot, but the cheese never melted! It killed the burrito. I ordered the same kind of burrito on two different occasions because I thought that the first time may have been a fluke, unfortuantately it was not. They put a great amount of cheese in the burrito but I had to open up the burrito and scoop that cheese out...it was a mess. So please, accept this review in the way that it is intended, constructive with a wish and hope to help the establishment and customer in the end. Invest in a grater and get some higher quality of cheese. I wouldn't even mind spending a quarter more for each burrito to help off-set the price....still a bargain in my book. I will come back but it is a game-changer...please let me come back and have more of your great food that has been cooked up a notch with some good cheese!
I was very skeptical of this place but once I walked in today the 2 ladies at the front were very nice. I ordered 3 combo burritos thinking "meh they're probably small" Ummmm no I was wrong I could barely eat one (I ordered one fried for an extra buck).
Their salsa isn't fresh which was a bummer (taste like Pace) however the food made up for that. I will definitely return but scale back on my order.
I also ordered two regular tacos as well and they use a generous amount of beef and REAL cheese.
Holy Guacamole!! The enchiladas were amazing!! Husband brought this home for lunch! He said the service alone was well worth the trip!! We will be returning!
Had a guy I work with turn me on to this place and have been hooked ever since!! Beef tacos and burritos are overstuffed, simple, and really good!! Their hot sauce is very runny so be sure to get lots of napkins!!
I have always loved this place. Ive eaten here or at thier previous location for over 15 years.
Here the beef at a bargain. This is not the gourmet mexican food south of the river, but it is very good quality and wholesome fix the same way they have for over 30 years and no they are not fast, so slow down and smell the tacos - Pedro.
Worth trying and far better than fast food through it out the window places. Local folks - need local support, are all we will have is crap food thrown out the window. PS

Lost Taco. I went here for lunch on 11 October 2011. I was the only person in the place when I ordered. I went for a Beef taco, Chicken taco (Both on Crispy Corn Tortilla) and a bean burrito with a small Iced Tea. It was about $8.75. I thought it was a bit pricey for that was served. The taco shells were small and seamed to be bought pre-made, the beef taco was extremely try and flavorless. The chicken had decent flavor. The bean burrito was on about an 8" tortilla that was yellowish in color. It was over stuffed and did not allow you to eat the whole thing without falling apart. It tasted average. What really got my goat was when I asked for a refill of my 16 oz. cup of unsweet tea that was still full of ice; they wanted a $1.00 for a refill. I asked if she was serious and her reply was "yeah". There was no way I was going to shell out anymore money to this place for sub-mediocre food and service. I don't see how this place has a rating as high as it does. Save your money and taste buds and go to Taco Bell if you want a crappy but better taco than Los Tacos.
Love me some SOUTHSIDE TACOS. Los Taco's is the best American Tacos in OKC! Loved it when it was on SW 44th/Blackwelder in High School and still love it today! The burritos are THE BEST!
Ameri-Mex?. This place is sort of like my mom's not-quite-right interpretation of Tex-Mex. If you leave aside your expectations you'll have a great experience. Just about anything here will knock your socks off, so get adventurous and order extra sauce. Call your order in ahead of time if you're taking out; this is slow food.
Great food & great price. For the 1st time I ate there on 2-19-2010 & was very surprised. The food was great & the price is awesome. I will definatley go back and try some of there other goodies. Just be advised it is a cash only place which I like, that way it helps keep the cost down.
We got the combo burrito. I'm glad I only got one. That's 2 meals for me! They are absolutely fully loaded and delicious! It's just a really good, no frills, inexpensive, family owned, get your food to go kinda place. Cash only. If you want extra sauce, get it on your food when you order or you'll be charged to take it to go. Call your order in and pick up for fastest service. They are busy!
I have to recommend the Fried burrito. However this time they came out absolutely saturated with oil. Luckily they were in the paper box and inside the bag or our car seat would have been soaked.
They were still amazing, they just need more time to drain before shipping them out.
Been coming here for 30 years. Huge portions great food. Do not live in OK anymore but this is my first and last stop when I come through.

Got three burritos, beef, beef combo and chicken combo. Added sour cream to the chicken and beef combos. Had them deep fry the beef burrito. All were good, liked the deep fried beef combo best because of the texture of the outside. On the chicken combo's the flavor of the meat was excellent. Only minor complaint is that the two with sour cream added were a bit cold.
Will be going back to try the tacos and american items like foot long chili dog.
Hi all, if extra big, yellow burritos are your thing, they got them here. I was shocked at the per burrito price, its gone up quite a bit in 2 years, then what hasn't. 2 Big Helps for first timers, if you like extra sauce, have them add it to your item being made, otherwise its 25 cents per small plastic cup. 2nd they don’t do charge cards. That being said, grab yourself some Tex-Mex y'all.

It's a really quaint place that brought me back to the good ol' days so to speak. The place smelled amazing upon arrival and we ordered the beef tacos and the beef burrito. It was great! Will be returning!

Tacos were good. They were generous with the meat and cheese and it wasn't greasy at all! The burritos are huge!

That said I’ll have 2 combo nachos extra chz with jalapeño and if it’s lunch the enchiladas bc there’s not enough mylanta in this whole town to get me to bed if I have it for dinner

I have been eating at the original Los Tacos since I was young. Still the same great flavors that I remember. Always great attitudes from this family owned and run business. I will definitely be back when I'm on this side of town.
