My father and I dined here for the first time last week, and it certainly won't be the last! The servers were very attentive and friendly. We were amazed at the quality and authenticity of the food for the price! We both had the beet salad, I had the gnocchi with butternut squash/kale, and my father had the frutti di mare. Everything was excellent - the serving sizes were just right and the flavors were delicate but complex. We also liked having plenty of non-cream-based dishes to choose from. We will definitely be coming back! :)
Authentic Italian food at it's BEST! Had an amazing menu of specials in addition to their very appealing dinner menu. Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned. We enjoyed a seared scallop appetizer with a spicy tomato puree from the specials menu. I loved the linguine with clams and my boyfriend had the swordfish special over potatoes with broccoli rabe and it was incredibly flavorful. And order a cappuccino, so good! Service was attentive and helpful. Very updated and tastefully decorated. If I lived nearby, I'd eat here all the time! Thank you!
Couldn't ask for a better experience. It's been a few years since I moved from Naples, and I probably had the closest quality meal since then. It made the night even better with a server that could practically read my mind. 10/10 will return.

Good Italian dishes, nice dessert array. Pretty interior plus outdoor tent dining. The fettuccine bolognese with ricotta was delicious. As was the tiramisu.
I don't even know where to start. This restaurant is hands down my favorite place to go in all of CT, hidden gem, friendly prideful owner who's name is Nino, who is meticulous of all the finest details. Beautiful fresh high end ingredients , amazing drinks, desserts and atmosphere for a super reasonable price unlike captiol grille.
The Margherita Pizza is the best cheese pizza in CT. Yes, better than your favorite pie in New Haven!
There is something to say for a restaurant that makes you feel like a part of the family. The food is incredible and the service is above the rest. Juliana and Nino always make us feel special. We can’t say enough about this wonderful restaurant.
Consistently excellent Italian cuisine with equal, superlative service. We dine at La Marea several times a year and have never had a bad experience. For a great dining experience, and certainly the best Italian food in the shoreline area, go La Marea!
