Loved the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. So cute! Food was really good. Owner was very nice. It’s a small restaurant which really brings a homey feel to it. I personally liked the wine much better than the cocktails here. Wine was delicious. Felt covid safe and distanced. I can’t wait to go b
Italian cooking as close as one can get in the burbs. Artisan bread to start, plenty of wine selections, menu served as first plate pasta and second plate meat. Recommendation: eat family style and save room for their daily in house made dessert. We tried 3 of the 5 desserts and left fat and happy.
Kind of a hidden gem. When you step in you go downstairs and there’s a small dining room in the basement. Makes you feel like you’re somewhere else. We got a mussel appetizer which was good, and I got the baby lamb chops with garlic mash potatoes as my entree. I would have preferred a little more
There's not much curb appeal to this place, which sits adjacent to a Domino's Pizza. But when we got inside, we were pleasantly surprised by a cozy interior, nice decoration and a comfortable atmosphere. The food was simple, tasty and well prepared.
However, this place is not kid-friendly... no
Our favorite Italian restaurant in the Olney area. The owner and staff are dedicated to serving exceptional dishes and fine wines. We've visited here 3 times in the past few months and every time has been great. The staff is helpful in choosing food and wine, and the cocktail pours are generous. Wil
Best restaurant in Olney. Good food (unique). The bread came very late but was extremely fresh. I requested Beef Tenderloin medium rare and I got medium. So. that was a bit disappointing(I don't like to send my food back)My husband and mom were both happy with their pasta dishes. The service is go
My daughter and I had an amazing Mother's Day dinner at al Sospiro Trattoria. Our waiter was exceptional. He made me a delicious mixed drink that wasn't on the menu. Our food was out of this world. My daughter had the spaghetti and said, "This is what real spaghetti tastes like!" I had the linguine
Our usual anniversary spot for the last 7 years, very intimate atmosphere with great service and authentic food. Excellent culinary experience with frash ingridiants and smaller portions, exactly the way it should be ! combined with a bottle of wine you still have room for dessert and feel like you
This is an adorable quaint place to eat, I wasn't too sure about it initially. The bread is very fresh and they give you olive oil to dip it in. We tried two appetizers the grilled octopus and the mussels. The grilled octopus was my husband's favorite dish and the mussels were ample and fresh. Four
Food is very good quality but be prepared to wait, you best option is to get some wine and wash down the bread while you wait, I hear the owner cooks everything himself - that is nice but when it takes 25-30 min to get your meal - that is too long. Other than that I highly recommend this place to
Service was outstanding. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. You walk up and it looks almost dive-y. But the interior is amazing! The decor was so homey. I've been to Italy and I can say from experience that it felt like an Italian trattoria.
Note: this is NOT a place to go if you want a quick bite or are
We had just come back from an Italian honeymoon and Sospiro reminded us so strongly of the restaurants we had gone to! Lovely atmosphere, it was wonderful to relive some of the cuisine and culture we had loved so much. We will definitely be returning there.
We really enjoyed our meal!! Wonderful food and wonderful service. We had the ziti and the scallops. Mussels for an appetizer. All were delicious. We can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
