I can't say enough good things about this place the food was prepared perfectly it was my daughters birthday and we had my young grandbaby with us Ashley the server went above and beyond to make us comfy I love this place
My first time there was great. We went on Father's Day , and it was full , the food is extremely good, the ribs just melt in your mouth! I would recommend this place to anyone!
We had a delicious meal, great service at one of my favorite restaurants! The fresh salads, roasted veggies, wood fired salmon...wonderful! Our server was very helpful with wine selection too.
The food was fantastic- especially the steaks! Salad was good and dessert was heaven. Service was a bit slow, but the server was very sweet. Had a Manhattan at the bar and it was perfect. So totally worth the trip.
The Sunday brunch is amazing. Plenty of items to choose from. Yesterday they 2 new items on the buffet coconut shrimp and ribs. They were booth amazing I can't remember when I've ribs that tender. They melted in your mouth. It's a little pricey at $21 person but well worth it. This was our second time going and we will definitely be going back.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner there last night. My first time at Spezia and my new favorite place. Our server was Emily and I will ask for her every time we go, she was great. Thank you for the great food and service.
Yum yum yum! Only thing I’d change is a buttered crust on the bread to go with my mussels! Thanks
Amazing. Everything is amazing. The appetizer, the drinks, the main dish, the fresh rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, the dessert -- ridiculously delicious!
Had a simple spaghetti and sausage for dinner. Got it as two sides instead of a meal, I eat light for dinner. Service was great food reminded me of growing up in NY and the Italian food I ate as a child. If I ever get back to Omaha I will eat here again.
This was the first time we were here for dinner, and it was impressive. The food was delicious and the service was the best. If you are looking for a romantic restaurant, please try this one. I love the apple salad. If you don't like sweet, it's not for you.
This place is top notch! Lunch or dinner, I have been there for both and enjoyed the food and ambience. At dinner time it does get pretty dark but you can still read the menu. I always get a little nervous ordering fish places in the Midwest, but their salmon and seafood mix are amazing. The salmon is so flaky and cooked perfectly each time. Instead of pasta, we also tried the roasted chicken. It was top notch. Their bread is delicious too, served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar with some Parmesan cheese if you wish.
Best Italian in Omaha from our perspective.
We walked in around 7.20pm without reservation. They still able to sat us promptly. I recommend reservation to get good seating. We sat out at the patio, so in the hot summer, we had to deal with flies. Frankie was our server. He was excellent. At no point of dinner that we feel rush. He’s very attentive and friendly. As for the food, it’s very good. We got salmon and ribeyes steak which cook to perfection. For portion size was good, not overly huge like other places. The price here is reasonable for quality products.
I loved Spezia! The Rack of lamb was incredibly delicious. While I wasn't a huge fan of their complimentary oil dip, everything else tasted absolutely amazing. The waitress was also really nice. I'll definitely be going back again! 🍽️
My husband and I had our 40th anniversary here. Everything was excellent. The waitress was great and the food was excellent. Everyone was super pleasant and attentive. The gnocchi alla pollo and the seared scallops and risotto were excellent.
In town one night while traveling and tried this restaurant. It was better than expected in every way. The food (Chicken Parmesan) was excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, and the staff was very welcoming. If you are traveling along I-80 and are looking for really good Italian, just stop here.
I'm the kind of person that wants to leave six stars or none, Spezia was excellent. I went with the classic and had the chicken Parm and it was really good. It was very hot. It had a crispy, breaded fried coding. The chicken was juicy and tender and the sauce was amazing. my wife had chicken and cheese tortellini florentiene and she really enjoyed that , after our meal we had a molten chocolate cake and it was amazing. The whole table was under $50 recommended.
We love visiting Spezia's for lunch! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Its usually easy to get a table at lunch without a reservation. For dinner, a reservation is probably best, no matter the day of the week. Today I tried the basil chicken sandwich and that is my new favorite dish!
Professional, friendly service. Warm, cozy ambiance. Very clean and yet comfortable. Wide variety on the menu. Food is hot and fresh. Nice presentation. Clean bathrooms. Adequate parking. 72nd Street and Mercy is a mess right now, so try to avoid that intersection
I would go again.
Good first experience! Caprese salad needed way more basil, not lettuce, but was decent. Don't recall the name but I got Cajun chicken linguine, it was not spicy at all, more black pepper than anything really. Hubby got a burger that had red sauce& cheese, served on a dry bread. Might be the best flavored burger I've ever tried! Bummed they don't serve cannoli so we skipped dessert, not that we had any room! We went for lunch around 1245 on a Saturday, no wait.
I’m very happy to say that I’ve been coming to Spezia for years and I’ve never had a bad experience here. Spezia is a great place in Omaha to go for a steak, some wood roasted duck, pasta, chicken, lamb, and even seafood dishes. They have got the wood grilling down! All their wood grilled dishes come out looking and smelling incredible! And the flavor is hard to beat. Make sure you reserve your table in advance because this place always seems to be busy during dinner hours, and save room for the banana’s foster cheesecake at the end. It’s one of the best things on the menu.
My wife says it's her new 'go to' place. I've been here twice in the last 2 months, once on business and another with my wife and kids. The groups I've been with have tried their shrimp, scallops, beef tenderloin and ribeye steaks as well as the lamb and duck, and don't forget the calamari! It's all good! I'll have to try some of the lower cost meals the next time we go! Our group of 4 ended up paying around $260 excluding tip, with 1 appetizer, 4 meals, 4 drinks from the bar and 3 desserts.
Came here with my fiance and his parents. We each ordered a different kind of pasta and cleaned up our plates! I absolutely loved my pasta dish, the french acadian chicken linguine in a creamy Cajun sauce. So flavorful and the portion was just perfect! 🧡 The Spezia tiramisu was divine, too.
Always a pleasure. Food is delicious, service is a bit too casual for the price of the restaurant, steaks are not always cooked evenly, but everyone is friendly, food comes warm, and presentation is neat. You can never go wrong with the tiramisu. I love the candlelight.
Our group of 6 people had an enjoyable and delicious dining experience at Spezia. Between the 6 of us, a variety of different entrees were ordered and devoured! The seafood diavolo, steaks, salads, flat breads and pasta all were expertly prepared. Please review my photos and click the like button if this review was helpful.
RUN do not walk—this place is WONDERFUL!! Honestly this is one of the best dining experiences I have had in Omaha, and I’ve been coming for years! Reily our waitress was absolutely amazing, and really knew the menu and restaurant well! The Italian sausage and meatballs were delectable—and the red sauce complimented them perfectly! Our table could not keep the bread away either, their rolls are the best ever! The food, staff, ambiance, and cleanliness were all 5/5 stars!! Thank you for a wonderful meal!
The beef burgundy and the peach chicken are two of the best dishes I've ever had! I think about them often.
First time having Spezia last night, and it was fantastic!
The bread service was delicious - hot rolls that have slight crisp to the outside and steamy, fluffy inside served with butter or balsamic vinegar and oil.
The 𝗰𝗮𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱 wasn’t my favorite. It was lacking dressing and parmesan, so it was a little dry. However, the croutons served on it were seasoned well, crispy, and tasty.
I ordered the honey peppered 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 which is served with alfredo capellini pasta. This dish was absolutely phenomenal. This was some of the best salmon I’ve had in a long time. Seared well on the outside for a slight char, excellent seasoning, cooked medium. Seriously exceptional. And the alfredo capellini was the perfect compliment.
My son got the 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 which I would’ve ordered if he hadn’t. It was incredible. The Plum Creek Farms chicken was breaded well, perfectly crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. It was topped with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. It was also served with capellini pasta but with a flavorful tomato sauce to compliment the breaded chicken.
For dessert we shared the 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂. Again, I will say not my favorite. Tiramisu is one of my all-time favorite desserts so that was unfortunate. The lady fingers were dry and not soaked well enough with coffee liqueur. There was also only a small dusting of cocoa powder on top. This made the mascarpone cheese the dominant flavor and the coffee very subtle and hard to taste. It might have just been an off night for this batch, so I’d likely give it another shot if I hear this is atypical for Spezia.
The ambience was beautiful, especially after a day of rain. The cloudy sky cast a dim, moody light through the large, slanted windows above the booths facing the patio. That, along with abundance of table lamps and candlelight made for a cozy, relaxing dinner.
The bread service and pasta dishes were enough to bring me back again. Go check them out if you haven’t been recently. It’s a great date or family dinner spot.
We really enjoyed our meal. I had the rack of lamb and my spouse had the peach chicken. We split a honey crisp apple salad and we split a raspberry cheesecake. Service was impeccable and the karmel sutra martini finished off the evening in spectacular fashion. 100% recommend
